CinemaCon 2020 has been cancelled amid the coronavirus outbreak sweeping the world.

The movie event, which was due to take place at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas from 30 March to 2 April, is the latest in a string of big festivals to have been axed due to the pandemic.

“It is with great regret we are announcing the cancellation of CinemaCon 2020. Each spring, motion picture exhibitors, distributors and industry partners from around the world meet in Las Vegas to share information and celebrate the moviegoing experience,” a representative for the National Association of Theatre Owners, which organises the event, posted on Twitter. “This year, due to the travel ban from the European Union, the unique travel difficulties in many other areas of the world and other challenges presented by the coronavirus pandemic, a significant portion of the worldwide motion picture community is not able to attend CinemaCon.

“While local outbreaks vary widely in severity, the global circumstances make it impossible for us to mount the show that our attendees have come to expect.”

U.S. President Donald Trump announced a travel ban on Wednesday, which will prevent people from a number of European countries from entering America amid the pandemic.

However, a spokesperson for the group insisted they will look to reschedule the event in the future.

“We look forward to continuing the 10-year tradition of presenting the largest movie theater convention in the world and joining our attendees in future celebrations of the moviegoing experience,” they added.

The CinemaCon 2020 schedule included talks, presentations, a screening of animated feature Trolls World Tour, which features the voices of Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake, and previews of films from the upcoming slates of studios including Disney, Warner Bros., Universal, Lionsgate, and Paramount Pictures.

Molly Sims has been tapped as the face of Aesthetics Biomedical’s SoME Skincare line.

The actress/model often opens up about her beauty regime and healthy lifestyle in interviews and videos for her YouTube channel, and now, she is joining forces with the team at the aesthetics product development company to promote a new cosmetic serum.

When combined with an individual’s Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP), as recommended by a physician, brand bosses claim the formula uses the body’s own regenerative properties to stimulate natural collagen and elastin production for visibly renewed firmness and luminosity.

“I’ve used so many skincare products and SoME Skincare is the first product that I’ve ever experienced that’s legitimately personalised, I mean it’s all in the name – it’s SoME!” the 46-year-old gushed. “Your own PRP may be added to the specially formulated and all natural SoME serum (only 22 ingredients) by your medical provider resulting in a translucent, smooth textured serum that you take home to use for the next three months! It’s truly simplified my skincare routine without sacrificing results, and for a busy mom like me, what is better than that?”

The Las Vegas star went on to share that she has been aware of PRP treatments, sometimes known as vampire facials, for a long time, with her dermatologist recommending she use them in conjunction with microneedling treatments.

And Sheldon Larson, chief marketing officer of Aesthetics Biomedical, described Molly as the perfect fit for the campaign.

“She is a tremendously talented model and actress, but also has a gift of being able to connect with people from every background and region because of her down-to-earth honesty and transparency. Through Molly’s confidence in her own skin, she exemplifies what modern beauty means in her own unique way,” he added.

Aesthetics Biomedical’s SoME Skincare is now available and is priced from about $900 (£700) for a 90-day supply, which includes a mini skincare refrigerator.

Lady Gaga jumps into an ice bath to help her body recover after a show.

The Bad Romance singer always put on a high-energy performance during her concerts so she ensures her body recovers from the show by hopping into an ice bath, which helps ease sore and aching muscles and reduce any swelling, before going into a warm bath, which helps tight muscles relax, and using a compression suit to further reduce swelling.

Lady Gaga shared her post-performance routine with fans on Instagram on Thursday after her Enigma gig at Park MGM in Las Vegas.

“Post-show routine: ice bath for 5-10 min, hot bath for 20, then compression suit packed with ice packs for 20. #rocknroll #enigma #gaga #gagavegas #vegas,” she wrote in the caption of the slideshow.

The first picture showed the pink-haired star gritting her teeth for the camera as she laid in water filled with ice cubes, the next depicted her closing her eyes and protecting her modesty while sitting naked in the metal bathtub, and the third image showed her wearing the large hi-tech suit as she lays out with an eye mask on.

Earlier that day, the 33-year-old, who suffers from chronic pain condition fibromyalgia, had also given fans an insight into her pre-show routine.

She posted a picture showing her emerging from a swimming pool wearing a pink swimsuit and matching goggles and shared that she does a “hard workout” followed by some laps. Gaga also posted footage of her warming up her muscles while dressed in her show costume backstage.

Her post-show relaxation routine would have come in handy following Thursday night’s show, during which she fell off the stage with a fan who had picked her up.

Lady Gaga’s Haus of Gaga store will officially open at the Park MGM in Las Vegas on 30 May.

The Poker Face singer, who is gearing up to return to Sin City for her ongoing Enigma residency, took to Twitter on Thursday to announce the news, posting the black and white Haus of Gaga logo, with a pink neon sign that read ‘Las Vegas’.

It is not yet clear what will be sold at the Haus of Gaga boutique, but sources tell the Las Vegas Review-Journal it will be stocked with Gaga-branded products.

And the A Star Is Born actress is also hoping to staff the shop with fans, known as Little Monsters. According to the MGM Resorts International career website, the retail store is hiring part-time and full-time sales associates.

“Become one of the stars behind the show and become part of the world’s most powerful entertainment brands,” the employment listing reads. “Our company has one exciting mission: To entertain the human race.”

Gaga, 33, first set up Haus of Gaga in 2008, with the concept originally modelled on Andy Warhol’s Factory and consisting of her creative team. Current members of her crew include her fashion director Brandon Maxwell, hairstylist Frederic Aspiras and make-up artist Sarah Tanno.

Previously, Aspiras opened up to Entertainment Tonight about his work with the Haus of Gaga, and explained that he always wants the superstar to feel “special, beautiful and confident”.

“I’m so grateful to have had shared this journey thus far (with Gaga),” he commented. “But today, we celebrate the achievement of someone who believes in her art and empowers me to work beyond the lines. I find that to be the most rewarding part of the relationship that I have with Gaga.”

Gaga’s next Las Vegas show will take place on 30 May, with the current run of Enigma continuing until 8 November.

Taylor Swift has continued with her pastel streak by wearing a lilac dress to the 2019 Billboard Music Awards.

Almost a week after dropping her new single ME!, the singer made a splash on the red carpet at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Wednesday night (01May19) when she stepped out in a light purple skater-style minidress from Raisa & Vanessa.

Taylor accessorised with matching high heels from Casadei, and a star-studded ear cuff, while her make-up artist Lorrie Turk completed the look by giving her a sweep of lavender-coloured eyeshadow on her lids and slick of rose-pink lipstick.

With her upcoming seventh studio album, Taylor has recently adopted a new pastel-shaded aesthetic, having been spotted out and about in New York City with pink dip-dyed hair and floral-printed dresses, while she also helped to design the peach and yellow-coloured J. Mendel gown that she wore to the recent Time 100 Gala.

In addition, the superstar has been curating her Instagram page to reflect her new theme, with the account now featuring close-up images of pink sequin fabric, a light blue bicycle, heart-shaped jewellery, pastel tiles, and pink and yellow handbags.

Other celebrities to make sartorial statements at the Billboard Music Awards included Cardi B, who rocked a canary yellow skirt and top from Moschino, and Diplo, who opted for a purple and gold cowboy-inspired suit.

Ciara wowed in a black dress with flowing train from Stephane Rolland, actress Olivia Wilde dazzled in a gold Ralph Lauren number, and Jennifer Hudson opted for a brown Area Suit with crystal detailing, which she matched with Stuart Weitzman shoes and The Residency earrings.

Sophie Turner, who wed fiance Joe Jonas following the ceremony, sported head-to-toe Louis Vuitton, while her sister-in-law Priyanka Chopra looked stunning in a white Zuhair Murad Couture ensemble.

Elsewhere, Halsey turned heads in a blue satin and black lace dress, which she matched with dramatic make-up and purple lipstick, and rapper Yung Miami rocked a neon green tulle dress from Oyemwen and bright yellow Christian Louboutin pumps.

Carrie Underwood returned to the red carpet at the Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday night (07Apr19) for the first time since becoming a mother of two.

The superstar arrived at the Las Vegas ceremony with her husband Mike Fisher 11 weeks after welcoming their son Jacob, looking svelte in a tight-fitting, sparkly, black-and-silver, one-shoulder Nicolas Jebran gown.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight about her glamorous look on the red carpet, Carrie discussed the changes to her body and her voice since expanding her family with a second son.

“I am zipped so tight in this dress … it’s pushing things up to places where it doesn’t normally go,” Carrie said. “My body is completely different than when it was a few months ago, and it’s always weird, kind of, to come back and (ask) … ‘Do I still have it? Can I still sing?’ Because I had an obstruction in this area for nine months, and now it’s gone. And it’s an adjustment period and it’s on the early side of me.”

But for Carrie, who lost out to Kacey Musgraves for the Female Artist of the Year prize, skipping the event wasn’t an option.

“It’s the ACMs, I had to come. I wanted to perform,” smiled the star, who sung I’m Standing with You from upcoming movie Breakthrough with This Is Us star Chrissy Metz, Lauren Alaina, Mickey Guyton and Maddie & Tae.

The 36-year-old’s pre-event prep for the event was slightly different to her usual stint in the glam chair, as she shared a picture on social media of herself in full make-up with her hair styled, holding an accessory not visible to her followers – a breast pump.

“Getting ready for my performance … also pumping,” she revealed in the caption.

Carrie also shared that her baby boy was being “so good here in Vegas”.

“Last night the air was getting to him so we were up for a while, but that’s life with a two-and-a-half-month-old,” Carrie told People.com. “He’s great. He’s a sweetie.”

Celine Dion has been named as the new global spokesperson for L’Oreal Paris.

In recent years, the Canadian superstar has enjoyed a major resurgence, with fans flocking to her Las Vegas residency shows, which are due to wrap up in June (19).

Now, executives at the French cosmetics giant have tapped Celine as a brand ambassador, with her gig as the face of Excellence Hair Colour set to mark her first-ever beauty campaign.

“I never saw that coming, especially at 51 years old. I thought seriously about it because, if my name was on it, I wanted to truly believe in it,” she said in a statement of her reaction to being asked to join the L’Oreal family. “We, women, are all dealing with a society that is pushing so much today. Considering that L’Oreal Paris gives women plenty of tools to feel good, to feel strong, to have a voice, to fulfil themselves and to feel worth it, I was honoured to become a global ambassador for the brand and represent women all around the world.”

Celine’s debut Excellence Hair Colour television commercial, which a spokesperson promised will highlight her “humorous and playful side,” is set to premiere on 22 April.

The My Heart Will Go On singer follows in the footsteps of Camila Cabello, Adam Levine, Julianne Moore, Eva Longoria, Helen Mirren, and Andie MacDowell, among others, in being named as an ambassador for the company.

Accordingly, L’Oreal Paris’ global brand president, Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou, couldn’t be more thrilled with the signing.

“Signing Celine Dion as the newest member of the L’Oreal Paris family builds on our mission of aligning with spokeswomen who are strong, self-empowered, assertive, diverse and inclusive,” he said. “Celine Dion is a woman of innate self-worth – following her heart to achieve success, challenge stereotypes and trailblaze the path for so many other women – and fully embodies our brand mission of ‘Because I’m Worth it.'”

Lady Gaga has delighted the Las Vegas crowd of her new show with not only her music, but her jaw-dropping outfit choices too.

The superstar opened her second show in Sin City, entitled Lady Gaga Jazz and Piano, on Sunday night (20Jan19), after beginning her residency concert, Enigma, in late December.

Bringing out her jazz collaborator Tony Bennett to a cheering crowd, Gaga belted songs like Luck Be a Lady and La Vie en Rose during the 20-song set.

She also wowed with multiple outfit changes. Kicking things off in a black fringed, sparkly dress by her sister Natali Germanotta, paired with a larger-than-life Rinaldi headpiece, she soon changed into a bejewelled Ralph Lauren gown, which featured a feather cape giving the outfit a vintage showgirl feel. The dress was made up of 53,000 Swarovski micro-crystals and 250 rock crystals.

For the third act, Gaga went for high fashion with a black velvet dress and puffy pink cape by Schiaparelli.

Brand representatives took to Instagram to share the look.

“At her latest show “Lady Gaga Jazz & Piano” in Las Vegas, the international star @ladygaga appeared in #SchiaparelliHauteCouture,” they captioned the images. “The singer and actress wore a long cape in shocking pink silk faille and a strapless dress in black velvet – designed by @bertrandguyon and especially made for her by the Schiaparelli ateliers in Paris. #LadyGaga #instaSchiap.”

Designer Bertrand Guyon also excitedly shared the photos, adding a red and black love heart to his post.

For the fourth and final act, Gaga once again called on Ralph Lauren. Donning a black lame tuxedo with a detachable tiered skirt of iridescent silk organza and tulle, the 32-year-old made sure she still shone with 7,500 Swarovski crystals and a black Swarovski-crystal belt adorning the look.

Mariah Carey prefers to take the stage wearing custom designs tailored to her shape.

The singer, who is currently gearing up to revive her Las Vegas residency show, works closely with stylist Nicolas Bru to create the perfect looks for her concerts and Bru, who has also worked with singers Fergie and Sofia Carson, knows better to present his most famous client with racks of designer clothing.

“She doesn’t like to try on a hundred things,” he tells People magazine. “I usually try to get clothing made for her because she likes custom dresses, especially for her concerts and music videos. She’s been doing this for a pretty long time so she’s very aware of her body and what looks good on her.”

The style guru adds that while the Emotions hitmaker is particular about her personal style, she is open to new ideas.

“She usually has a pretty good hunch as to what’s going to work,” Bru adds. “She’s also pretty eccentric – if I feel like she should try something, she’ll try it on and give it a chance. She’ll tell me, ‘I’m not sure it’s going to work but I’ll give it a try’. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn’t.

Carey’s willingness to try out new ideas often leads to memorable looks: “We did a custom Julien Macdonald fringe dress for the opening of her Vegas residency this summer and it was hand-embroidered with a deep V-neckline and then it had long, metal chains that were sewn on the side,” he recalls.

“It was extremely heavy to hold because it was all metal but it moved really nicely. She had to be on stage and walk down stairs, so she really wasn’t sure if it would work. But when she put it on she loved it. We customised it for the stage and she ended up wearing it for every show.”
