Ciara has set her sights on launching her own beauty collection.
The Goodies hitmaker made an appearance at the Beautycon event in Los Angeles over the weekend, and during a conversation with WWD reporters, noted it was “inevitable” that she would follow in the footsteps of fellow singer Rihanna, who debuted her hugely successful Fenty Beauty line back in 2017.
“It’s been a lifelong dream of mine to do something in the beauty space, and there are lots of cool things that I’ve been cooking up and working on, and I can’t wait until the time is here to share it with the world,” she shared.
The mother-of-two, a former Revlon brand ambassador, went on to explain that any future ventures would contain a mixture of make-up products and skincare formulas.
“More than anything, I just want it to be thoughtful,” the 33-year-old added.
Ciara also discussed inclusivity in the beauty industry and touched upon Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty foundation being offered in 40 shades, and Pat McGrath Labs’ Sublime Perfection Foundation, which is available in 36 hues.
“It’s been a long time coming,” she explained. “Inclusivity is always better. When people make those changes to their approach to the beauty landscape and business, it benefits the world. It’s the right way.”
If she were to launch her own beauty collection, the Level Up hitmaker will join the likes of Jessica Alba, who co-founded The Honest Company, Drew Barrymore, who owns cruelty-free make-up brand Flower Beauty; and Australian model Miranda Kerr, who created skincare line Kora Organics back in 2009.

Ciara has dropped 20 pounds (nine kilograms) since the start of her career after adopting strict eating habits over 15 years.
The Level Up singer has worked with her personal trainer, Decker Davis, since the launch of her career back in 2004, and he encouraged her to eat five small meals a day and exercise four days per week to secure her toned figure.
“When I first started in my career, I weighed 20 pounds more than I weigh now,” she told People. “That was the first time I got introduced to eating five small meals a day to impact my workout.
“When you’re eating small meals, your body starts to function like a well-oiled machine. You’re using the restroom regularly, so your body is really on clock.”
She also credits drinking plenty of water on a daily basis as one of the secrets to keeping her incredible figure in check.
“I literally drink a gallon and a half a day,” Ciara shared. “It’s amazing how you can work out hard all day, but if you don’t eat right you won’t see the results you want to see and if you don’t drink that water you won’t get the results as fast as you want to get them.”
The mother-of-two also put her strong physique down to “intense” and competitive joint workouts with her American football player husband, Russell Wilson.
“It’s… what I like to call ‘good love competition,'” the 33-year-old laughed. “We motivate each other and it’s really fun.”

Ciara has insisted that drinking “tons of water” was key in helping her regain her sleek figure.
The star, who is renowned for her toned physique and works hard to keep it in shape, admitted to Entertainment Tonight that making small lifestyle changes helped her shed 50lb (23kg) in five months after welcoming her daughter, Sienna, on 28 April 2017.
“Tonnes of water – water is key – and honestly just listening to your body,” she cited as the most important thing she does for her wellbeing. “I had to work on mastering that because I love food so much, and food is so good. It’s so comforting and the problem is that, when it’s in your face, you want more.
The Love Sex Magic songstress went on to admit that she found restricting her diet the toughest part of getting back in shape, and insisted that “finding balance is key”.
“That’s what I’ve really been working on and I will tell you it’s been a long time, it’s hard work trying to do that…” the 33-year-old reflected. “I really talk to myself, (I say) ‘I’m not going to eat those fries right now…brownie ice cream, I hear you. Imma eat you tomorrow’.”
Sienna is the star’s first child with her husband, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. She also has a son, four-year-old Future, from her previous engagement to rapper Future.
The Level Up hitmaker also suggested that, while she takes the time to tone up, she’s also keen to embrace her flaws.
“Even something as real as having stretch marks on my back on both sides, I look at these babies and it’s all worth it,” she confessed. “This is beautiful.”

Dua Lipa’s diet is all about balance – meaning she never denies herself sweet treats.
Known for her catchy pop tracks, Dua has become one of the hottest names in British music over the last two years.
As well as music, Dua is exploring the world of style with a clothing line for H&M-owned brand /Nyden, and she’s also been tapped to front campaigns for Adidas.
In an interview on the sports company’s website, the 23-year-old admitted that while she works hard to keep her body looking lean, she’ll happily eat junk food when the mood takes.
“I try and stay as healthy as possible whenever I can. I’m never one to stop myself having treats, I do love naughty treats. But I try and limit it to days when I’m not as busy, because if I do eat a doughnut it usually puts me in a food coma!” she laughed.
Talking about her exercise playlist, Dua likes to have songs Apes**t by The Carters and Ciara’s Level Up blaring out, and says her track Be the One is also good to train to.
She’s slightly more indecisive when it comes to her workout wear though.
“It depends what kind of workout and what the weather’s doing,” she shrugged. “If it’s early morning and I’m tired I always seem to reach for something more baggy and loose. If I’m doing Pilates or yoga I’d probably wear leggings and a work out bra top.”

Ciara’s hairstylist, Cesar Ramirez, has styled the singer in ponytail looks for years to bring out her “goddess-like” qualities.
The Goodies hitmaker recently sported the updo at the 2018 ESPY Awards, as she accompanied her football star husband Russell Wilson on the red carpet, donning a stunning yellow Toni Maticevski gown.
Cesar structured the star’s hair to compliment her outfit for the evening, noting the ponytail look is a go-to style he relies on for instant and unique glamour.
“Seeing as how structured and bodycon her dress was, I knew a clean, high, yet structured, pony would complete the look with a goddess-like vibe,” he tells Refinery29, revealing he amped up the ponytail’s drama by adding a hair piece from his new WILDFORM line.
“What really makes (our) relationship so great is that we’re both hair-obsessed,” Cesar adds. “We love all hairstyles, but a pony is, for sure, one of her top favourites. When a ponytail is done right it makes a woman feel super sexy and feminine. It’s also a great way to keep a look young and chic versus looking overly dressed (up).”
The haircare professional always tries to match Ciara’s locks with her outfit, applying the same strategy for her 2016 look at the 58th Grammy Awards ceremony with a loose, messy ponytail.
“My goal is always to balance a look,” he shares. “Ciara’s dress was very revealing with a plunging neckline and completely open back. I didn’t want loose hair to compete with the silhouette.”
Cesar’s line of WILDFORM human hair extensions debuts this fall (18).
