Tommy Hilfiger and Lewis Hamilton recruited many famous faces to model their latest designs at London Fashion Week on Sunday.

The American designer unveiled his fourth collection in partnership with the Formula One driver, as well as their capsule collection with musician H.E.R., at the TOMMYNOW Spring 2020 show held at the Tate Modern in London on Sunday night, with celebrity guests including Billy Porter, Charli XCX, and Meghan Trainor.

The show featured a diverse, age, and size-inclusive mix of models from both sides of the Atlantic, ranging from ’90s British favourites Jodie Kidd, Yasmin Le Bon, and Erin O’Connor to newcomers such as Halima Aden, Alton Mason, and Jasmine Sanders. Other U.K. faces included Jourdan Dunn, Georgia May Jagger, and Karen Elson, while international models included Winnie Harlow, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Candice Swanepoel.

The famous faces on the runway vastly outnumbered those sitting front row, with the show also featuring celebrity relatives such as Helena Christensen and Norman Reedus’ son Mingus, Kate Moss’ sister Lottie, Liam Gallagher’s son Lennon, Bob Geldof’s daughter Pixie, and Christy Turlington’s nephew James.

The genderless ‘See Now, Buy Now’ collection was the most sustainable TommyxLewis release to date, with 75 per cent of the line using more sustainable production methods, including organic cotton, recycled fabric, and low-impact denim washes.

Naomi Campbell opened the show wearing a neon yellow and beige tracksuit with chunky high-top sneakers. A number of streetwear looks followed, before the collection focused on preppy outfits heavily featuring nautical stripes and the stars and stripes of the U.S. flag, with Ambrosio wearing a crisp navy blue blazer over the top of a white and blue striped shirt, worn as a dress, and a white jumper.

Hamilton linked arms with Campbell as he walked down to the catwalk with Hilfiger and H.E.R. to give the final bow.

“Thanks to @thomasjhilfiger, @hermusicofficial, all my amazing models including @naomi and of course to everyone at @tommyhilfiger,” he wrote on Instagram. “It’s been such a journey to create our most sustainable collection to date, but it’s something I’m so proud that we’ve been able to achieve. Feeling very grateful for all our hard work today.”

London Fashion Week continues on Monday with presentations from Burberry, JW Anderson, and Erdem.

Singer H.E.R. is partnering with Tommy Hilfiger and Lewis Hamilton on a fashion collection.

Formula One driver Hamilton has collaborated with the American designer on four capsule drops over the course of the past two years. Now, he has recruited the star, real name Gabriella Wilson, to work on the new streetwear line, to be known as Tommy x Lewis x H.E.R.

“Such an honour to design and collab with @tommyhilfiger and @lewishamilton. Stay tuned for the drop of our collection!!!” she captioned an image of herself alongside Hamilton on Instagram on Wednesday.

The pair are pictured posing in casual black outfits with neon green writing. While few other details were given about the clothes, items will be made from 75 per cent sustainable fabrics like organic cotton.

“This collab is straight-up fire. More to come!! Thank you so much @hermusicofficial,” Hilfiger added.

Meanwhile, Hamilton has described the 22-year-old as a natural fit for the collaboration.

“I’m so grateful to continue to bring to life our shared vision of making each collection more sustainable,” he told WWD. “Tommy and I also share a passion for music and feel strongly about giving a platform to artists to express their creativity in a whole new medium.

“I admire the raw and authentic way that H.E.R. expresses herself through her music and the creative journey that she’s undertaken. Her authenticity comes through in the bold and edgy twist she has brought to the Tommy x Lewis x H.E.R. street style aesthetic.”

The capsule collection will be available for purchase following Hilfiger’s Tommy Now spring/summer 2020 show held as part of London Fashion Week on Sunday.

Tommy Hilfiger is set to showcase his next collaboration with Formula 1 racing driver Lewis Hamilton in London.

The American designer will debut the fourth Tommy x Lewis collection alongside the spring 2020 Hilfiger Collection for women and men at The Tanks at Tate Modern art gallery on 16 February, during London Fashion Week.

Hilfiger is keen to acknowledge the eco-friendly steps his iconic brand is taking in the fashion industry with his upcoming show and called the design partnership with Hamilton his “most sustainable collaboration yet”.

Styles in the Tommy x Lewis line feature organic cotton, recycled materials, vegan leather alternatives, low-impact denim washes and miDori bioWick, which is a plant seed oil-based finishing agent.

“We are determined to be one of the leading sustainable designer lifestyle brands in the world, and this is a commitment we share with Lewis,” Hilfiger explained, according to WWD. “We are proud to accomplish new milestones every season, with spring 2020 being our most sustainable collaboration yet.”

And the six-time Formula 1 World Champion, who was named the fashion company’s global brand ambassador in March 2018, echoed his design partner’s sentiments, and said the collection captures his “personal sense of street style”.

“Tommy and I continuously explore new ways to take our sustainability vision to greater heights, and spring 2020 is the latest milestone in these achievements. I’m so excited to debut the sustainable designs we created through the TommyNow platform and keep driving this message forward,” the 35-year-old added.

Serena Williams is never worried about what people think of her personal style.

The tennis champ, who recently lost to Simona Halep in the Wimbledon Ladies Singles final, has come out on top of U.S. magazine Sports Illustrated’s fourth annual Fashionable 50 list, which honours the most fashionable athletes.

While Serena is known for her bold style on and off the tennis court, and has often been targeted by critics for her choices, she admitted to the publication that she spends very little time worrying about the opinions of others.

“People always have things to say when you’re wearing fashion. It could be good things. It could be bad things. I don’t care what people say. I’m like just so past it-you could say whatever you want to say,” the star, who shares 22-month-old daughter Olympia with husband Alexis Ohanian, commented. “Honestly, you’re allowed to have your opinion. My life is far too complicated to worry about people that want to say mean things. I have a daughter, I have a family, I have a career. I have too much to worry about.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Serena explained that her whole career “has been really about tennis and fashion”.

She studied at fashion school as a teenager and while her previous clothing collections, including her Signature Statement collection for the Home Shopping Network (HSN), didn’t catch on, she is adamant her new S by Serena line will be different.

“I tried it before and it didn’t work. Then I sat down and invested in myself and really put a really good effort behind it. Now I really get to express myself. I get to see how you can wear fashion so many different ways and how you can represent yourself. I have this whole big vision of what S by Serena is going to be,” the 37-year-old added.

Other athletes on Sport Illustrated’s list included Odell Beckham Jr., Lewis Hamilton, Maria Sharapova, Cristiano Ronaldo, Tom Brady, LeBron James, and Dwyane Wade.

Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne are among a host of famous faces who are set to design white shirts in honour of Karl Lagerfeld.

The iconic Chanel and Fendi designer, who passed away at the age of 85 February, was well-known for his chic uniform of a black suit and a crisp white high-collared shirt, and once said that he had wished he had invented the enduring garment.

Now, five months after his death, celebrities including Moss, Delevingne, Diane Kruger, Amber Valletta, Lewis Hamilton, Tommy Hilfiger, Alessandro Michele, Takashi Murakami and Sebastien Jondeau have been tasked with designing their own interpretation of Lagerfeld’s white shirt for A Tribute to Karl: The White Shirt Project, according to editors at WWD.

Fashion editor Carine Roitfeld, who was a close friend of the couturier, has overseen the project, which will benefit the French charity Sauver la Vie.

The 64-year-old noted the white shirt project would “allow us to honour (Lagerfeld’s) legacy while incorporating his unwavering love of fashion and giving back; I can’t imagine a better way for us to celebrate his passion for creativity.”

All of the white shirts will be on display at Lagerfeld’s headquarters on the Rue Saint-Guillaume in the French capital during Paris Fashion Week, and in a further tribute to the godfather of fashion – who was a fan of the number seven – the shirts will be replicated 77 times and sold for 777 euros ($875/£700) on Karl.com.

Pier Paolo Righi, chief executive officer of the Karl Lagerfeld fashion house, said that the white shirts are “a very unique and intimate way of relating back to Karl.”

“The participants in this tribute are all people who Karl knew, who he felt connected to, or who inspired him,” he told the fashion publication. “After Karl’s passing, so many people wanted to share their admiration for Karl and express their emotions.”

Zendaya is the latest star Tommy Hilfiger has tapped for a collaboration.

The actress has already designed collections for several clothing lines, most recently teaming up with Boohoo to create a 50-piece line of “chic, fashion-forward clothes” called The Zendaya Edit. Now, Zendaya is turning her attention to high fashion, and expanding on her role of Tommy Hilfiger’s latest global women’s ambassador.

The 22-year-old will be featured in the brand’s global integrated campaign beginning in spring 2019, while the Tommy x Zendaya collection will launch in February (19).

“Fashion is more than just wearing cool clothes,” she insisted in an interview with WWD. “It’s a way to celebrate self-expression and individuality, which is extremely empowering. This is why I am proud to partner with Tommy Hilfiger.”

Hilfiger, who previously partnered with supermodel Gigi Hadid and Lewis Hamilton on ranges, decided to join forces with The Greatest Showman star because of her ability “to make bold statements while always staying true to herself”.

“We were thinking about who’s next and she (Zendaya) just checked all the boxes,” he smiled. “She’s a movie star, a musician, a great personality. She really is an advocate of women. She is youthful, she has great, casual style and when you see her on the red carpet, she is magnificent.”

Following the upcoming Tommy Hilfiger fashion show, Zendaya will tour with the collection to a number of international cities. Though it hasn’t been confirmed whether Zendaya will follow model Gigi’s lead and walk the runway during the presentation, the 67-year-old is adamant “she could easily do it, she’s incredibly beautiful and has the right look”.

Following in the footsteps of model Gigi Hadid, Lewis has worked with American designer Tommy on a line of clothes, which he unveiled for the first time on Tuesday (04Sep18).

Taking to Instagram after the fashion extravaganza, F1 driver Lewis thanked Tommy and his team for helping to make his dream a reality.

“Lost for words,” he began. “Wow, I wish I could describe what it’s been like launching my first collection, TommyXLewis, I feel completely overcome with emotion. To think, this was a dream for such a long time and now it’s out there I can’t wait for you to experience it yourself. Tommy Hilfiger is to hold his next TommyNow fashion show in Shanghai, China.

The American designer launched his brand in 1980 and has since gone on to build up a reputation for his sleek suiting and preppy sportswear, with fans extending across the film and music industries.

Of late, Hilfiger has adopted a ‘see now, buy now’ business model and unveiled his TommyNow concept lines at spectacles held in New York, Los Angeles, London and Milan, and has now confirmed that he will be heading to Asia for his upcoming presentation.

“TommyNow continues to disrupt the runway rules driven by our passion to introduce innovative ways to immerse as many consumers as possible into this event globally,” Hilfiger said in a statement, according to WWD. “For fall 2018, our experiential event will evolve to become an even greater storytelling experience that celebrates our powerful fall 2018 collections and ambassador partnerships. After successful stops in North America and Europe, I look forward to unveiling our next season on a new continent.”

An exact location for the show has not yet been announced. However, Hilfiger confirmed that it will take place on 4 September (18). The fall 2018 runway extravaganza will include the men’s and womenswear lines from the Hilfiger Collection, the Tommy Icons capsule range as well as Lewis Hamilton’s debut collection for the brand.

Formula One driver Hamilton announced in April that he was teaming with the label and shared that his designs would be inspired by his tattoos and street art.

“Lewis is a global superstar and he’s not only one of the top athletes in the world, he’s also, in my eyes, a fashion icon. He is a student of fashion, he has a sense of style, and he puts himself together in a very cool way that’s very real,” said the 67-year-old during an interview with Lewis at the time. “His look is iconic.”

The Shanghai show will be the first TommyNow presentation without a capsule line from model Gigi Hadid, who dropped her fourth and final limited-edition line for the company at the Milan show in February.

Hailey Baldwin and Winnie Harlow are Tommy Hilfiger’s new global brand ambassadors.

Brand founder Hilfiger, who in past seasons has worked closely with Gigi Hadid, is over the moon at his latest signings and praised the label’s new recruits in a statement.

“As two of the most sought-after models in the world, Hailey Baldwin and Winnie Harlow are becoming the icons of tomorrow, captivating their audience with their powerful drive and inner fire,” Hilfiger shared. “They are leading the way for the next generation of Tommy women, approaching everything with confidence and optimism. These shared qualities and values are why I’m excited to welcome them into our family.”

The two fashion stars join Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton, the ambassador for Tommy Hilfiger’s menswear.

And like Gigi, Lewis is also collaborating on a line of clothes for the American brand.

Baldwin, the daughter of actor Stephen Baldwin, and Harlow, who came to prominence on TV talent show America’s Next Top Model, also shared their excitement.

“Fashion is how I express my individuality to the world, and Tommy Hilfiger’s designs are perfect to make bold statements,” 21-year-old Baldwin shared. “I love styling each outfit to make it my own, and I can’t wait to show fans of the brand how I infused my own twist into the fall Tommy Icons styles.”

Harlow, 23, added: “I’ve always believed in the power of embracing who you are and breaking conventions, so I am proud to partner with an incredible designer who truly shares this spirit. I’ve always loved the brand’s classic American cool style, and I’m excited to share my favourite pieces with all Tommy Hilfiger fans.”

Tommy Hilfiger and Lewis Hamilton are gearing up to release their first capsule collection.

The Formula One driver was recently declared a global brand ambassador for the American luxury label, and now it’s been revealed Lewis will actually design for the brand, with the first Tommy x Hamilton collection scheduled to drop this fall (18).

The range will be revealed to fashion editors on 7 May.

Hamilton shared the first glimpse of the range’s logo to fans at an exclusive event in Shanghai on Wednesday (11Apr18), having put his own stamp on Tommy Hilfiger’s signature flag trademark by overlapping it with his initials in navy. An art installation explained the influences behind the design, which was inspired by street art as well as the font used in the racing champion’s own tattoos.

The British sports personality was announced as the brand’s latest ambassador shortly after he sat front row at the label’s Milan Fashion Week show, which saw a collection, the designer’s fourth and final with model Gigi Hadid, that merged Hilfiger’s love for fashion and motorsports on a racetrack-style runway.

And the iconic fashion designer was delighted to confirm his company’s collaboration with the star.

“Lewis is a global superstar and he’s not only one of the top athletes in the world, he’s also, in my eyes, a fashion icon. He is a student of fashion, he has a sense of style, and he puts himself together in a very cool way that’s very real,” said the 67-year-old during an interview with Lewis at Tommy Hilfiger’s London showroom. “His look is iconic. He has millions of fans all over the world, watching his every move. He has young fans, young men who want to look like him, who want to dress like him. They actually want to emulate him.”
