Liam Payne will never go back on the “militant” diet and workout regime he adopted prior to his racy Hugo Boss underwear campaign.

The Get Low hitmaker showcased his impressive physique when he stripped off for the nearly nude ads with Victoria’s Secret Angel Stella Maxwell last year.

And not only would he train every single day in the lead-up to the photoshoot, but he also counted calories and abided by a restricted eating plan.

“I wouldn’t rule out doing another campaign but I wouldn’t want to repeat that diet,” Liam told U.K. newspaper The Sun. “I had to eat five meals a day, and drink 1,200-calorie protein shakes almost every hour – to pile on loads of weight.

“Then you have to train hard every day. I call it fish month because white fish was the only thing I was allowed to eat for four weeks. But it works!”

Liam also noted that the gruelling fitness regime distracted him too much from his music and revealed that he had to put his songwriting on hiatus because he couldn’t concentrate.

“It was difficult to separate that lifestyle from everything else. When you’re in creative mode, you want to create, you want to be a bit of a slob and be in this chill zone. But that was so militant – I was counting calories and thinking about food and diet all the time. Now my life is balanced,” the 26-year-old explained.

While the former One Direction singer was the envy of his friends when he appeared in the Hugo Boss ads with stunning model Stella, there was one woman in his life who was distinctly unimpressed with the racy campaign.

“(My mum) saw the shots just before they came out and obviously there’s some very raunchy ones of me and Stella,” Liam recalled. “She was like, ‘What’s that?’ and saw Stella draped across me in this picture and then she hit me around the earhole.”

Orlando Bloom is fronting the new campaign for Boss’ eyewear collection.

The Lord of the Rings actor recently took to Instagram to announce his latest gig and share a slideshow of black-and-white snaps of the marketing imagery.

“Excited to share a sneak peak (sic) preview of my new eyewear campaign with @boss. Stay tuned for more to come… #BOSSeyewear,” he captioned the pictures.

One image shows Orlando holding a pair of black glasses up to his face, while another depicts him wearing a pair of glasses with square frames and gazing into the distance.

The star’s post quickly attracted thousands of likes from fans, as well as a comment from his fiancée Katy Perry, who simply wrote: “Last photo.”

Full campaign imagery is expected to drop shortly.

Previously, Orlando starred in the advertisements for the Boss Orange fragrance for men, with the debut campaign released all the way back in 2010.

“Boss Orange is a brand with which I immediately identify a sense of casual attitude and spontaneity,” he said at the time. “The new campaign makes sense for me and I am proud to represent the company. It has been really fun.”

Of late, One Direction singer Liam Payne has also starred in a Hugo Boss underwear campaign and Chinese actor Li Yifeng has just been announced as the face of the company’s 2020 Chinese New Year Capsule collection.

Liam Payne trained hard to get in shape for Hugo Boss underwear campaign

Liam Payne spent 90 per cent of his time in the gym over the past year to prepare for his Hugo Boss shoot.

The Strip That Down hitmaker recently shot a sizzling partially nude ad campaign for Hugo Boss underwear, something the 26-year-old had dreamed of to motivate himself while in the gym.

“Before we landed the deal with Hugo I’d gone into my gym and said, ‘I’m going to get an underwear commercial.’ I just wanted to do it; I knew I could do it. And then it actually happened! And I worked my a*s off and I’m still hitting the gym: I didn’t realise once you get on that thing you can’t really turn it off,” he told GQ Hype magazine.

The father-of-one revealed that he was at the gym for “90 per cent” of his time in an effort to look super ripped for the shoot with model Stella Maxwell, and the results have given him more self-confidence.

“It’s been a lot of training and being an athlete and working out – it became 90 per cent of my job for the best part of a year leading up to that shoot, which was crazy,” he explained. “Come 2019 everyone’s a lot more open about body image and I wanted to get in shape. Not to show off my body to anyone else, I just knew that’s what would give the confidence on set. I didn’t want to arrive not ready and not looking like I’d worked hard to get there.”

The former One Direction singer also opened up on his decision to go sober for a year, confessing it was hard on his social life.

“I was the biggest recluse on the planet. I would get up at 5am and go running in the park, but at night I would be in bed by 7pm. Is that a way to live your life?” he candidly shared.

Stella Maxwell and Liam Payne have stripped off for a racy new Hugo Boss underwear campaign.

Former One Direction star Liam was announced as a celebrity brand ambassador for the German fashion house back in May, and a short time later, unveiled his debut Hugo x Liam Payne line.

Now, Liam has teamed up with bosses at Hugo on another campaign, this time to promote a range of bodywear, with the imagery shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.

One snap shows the singer lying on a bed in just his underwear with Stella behind him completely nude, with just a sheet protecting her modesty, while another photo depicts Liam naked with the topless model on top of him.

And the British singer has admitted he required a little liquid courage in preparation for the risque photoshoot.

“There was a lot of tequila involved for this shoot,” he said in an interview with GQ Hype magazine. “(The photoshoot) ended up being a lot more naked than I thought it was – and for her as well. She was also naked. And I was just, you know, ‘Don’t look!’ She was naked behind me and I was thinking, ‘Liam, don’t look whatever you do.'”

However, Liam also confessed that his mother wasn’t immediately pleased when she first saw the provocative pictures.

“It was a lot of fun to shoot but my mum wasn’t best pleased. There’s this really raunchy shot of me and Stella, and I showed my mum,” the 26-year-old smiled. “She took one look at it and gave me a clip round the ear. All I was thinking was, ‘I better not tell her about the London buses!'”

Liam Payne looked to former Calvin Klein underwear model Mark Wahlberg for inspiration when starring in his stripped-down Hugo Boss campaign.

The One Direction singer wowed in the jaw-dropping ads earlier this year, and in a new interview, has now revealed that the Hollywood actor had a hand in helping him prepare.

“I love Mark, he’s amazing…. when I got to the underwear commercial, the first picture I saw was a reference of Mark from years ago,” he said in a sit down with the Australian radio show Smallzy’s Surgery.

Wahlberg himself was a boy band member, fronting the pop group Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch at the time of the promo in 1992.

“He is such a great role model to have in this business, he’s also had a really similar lifestyle like the one I’ve had so far,” the 26-year-old shared.

Liam, who had the opportunity to train with the star in Los Angeles prior to the shoot, also hopes to follow in his footsteps when it comes to his future work.

“He started in a band, then you know he’s doing the modelling and the underwear commercial, and obviously he’s had an amazing career since,” he added.

The photoshoot was shot by Mert Alaş and Marcus Piggott, with Robbie Spencer serving as creative director. In addition, Liam has teamed with designers at Hugo Boss on the Hugo x Liam Payne line, with items unveiled as part of Berlin Fashion Week last July.

The partnership marked the first apparel campaign from the brand to be fronted by a celebrity, with the likes of Jared Leto and Zac Efron previously appearing fragrance ads.

Naomi Campbell predicts African designer will win LVMH Prize

Naomi Campbell is sure an African designer will be crowned the winner of the 2019 LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers.

London-born model Naomi has been celebrating her African roots in recent times, making an appearance at Arise Fashion Week in Lagos, Nigeria last year (18), as well visiting Ghana with her rumoured ex-beau Liam Payne in February.

Talking about the emerging designers in the running for the LVMH Prize, including Nigerian Kenneth Ize and South African Thebe Magugu, Naomi stated to British Vogue: “I do believe that an African designer is going to walk away with the LVMH Prize this year.

“Instead of having Western designers use African designer’s textiles and not get it right, let them do it, give them the credit. Because that’s what happens, they don’t get the credit and it’s wrong.”

The winner will be announced later this year from a shortlist of eight finalists, and will scoop 300,000 euros, plus a year of coaching from experts at LVMH.

Talking about her time in Africa, Naomi said she has been bowled over by the talent the continent produces.

“There are agencies here, I saw some incredible models last Arise Fashion Week in Lagos,” the 48-year-old shared. “Incredible faces who have no idea how special they are and how great they look. It’s about making them part of the bigger network by affiliating them with agencies in London, Milan, Paris and New York.”

And praising Valentino for using a diverse range of models for its spring/summer 19 show, more than half of whom were women of colour, she added: “They took four months to do the casting and you can see they put time into it. We are not a trend, we are here to stay.”

One Direction star Liam Payne has been named the latest celebrity brand ambassador for Hugo Boss.

The singer is fronting a campaign for the label’s new collection geared towards younger fashion lovers, and the 25 year old will work closely with creative director Peter Deirowski to develop the forthcoming line Hugo x Liam Payne.

Payne, who will appear in a series of ads shot by fashion photographers Mert & Marcus, has grown to enjoy expressing himself through fashion, particularly pieces for the brand.

“Fashion has slowly crept up on me,” the One Direction star tells Women’s Wear Daily. “I knew if I wanted to do something in fashion it should be with Hugo. They design clothes that guys like me want to wear. Fashion started out as a hobby for me, but I’m loving being part of the creative process.”

The singer is also looking forward to stripping off to showcase new swimwear looks.

“This is a very body-conscious world,” he adds. “I’ve been training a lot lately, but I’ve always done that, so we’ll see how it goes.”

Despite his initial worries when it came to the new venture, Payne was relieved when Deirowski and his team guided him through the process.

“I thought, ‘How am I going to design clothes?’” Payne shares, revealing Deirowski and his team brought him their initial ideas for the collection and asked for his input. And the creative director is just as enthusiastic about the collaboration.

“Liam is not only a very talented musician, he’s also got great style,” he says. “This type of creative partnership is something we’ve never done before and we can’t wait to show everyone what we’ve been working on behind the scenes.”

The partnership marks the first apparel campaign from the brand to be fronted by a celebrity, with Jared Leto and Zac Efron previously fronting fragrance ads.

The new items Liam helped design will be unveiled during Berlin Fashion Week in Germany with a presentation and concert planned for July (19).

Liam Payne, Luke Evans and Kate Moss are among the stars fronting the 2018 Save the Children’s Christmas jumper campaign.

Britain’s annual Christmas Jumper Day falls on 14 December, with the public encouraged to don a festive top in order to raise money for the children’s charity.

It marks the seventh time the event has taken place, and keeping up the tradition of making it a showbiz affair, a host of A-listers have been tapped to promote the initiative.

Models David Gandy, Daisy Lowe and Erin O’Connor, Olympian Sir Mo Farah, actors Annabelle Wallis, Eddie Marsan and Eiza Gonzalez, and rapper and Game of Thrones star Raleigh Ritchie are also a part of this year’s campaign.

Shot by Greg Williams, the stars pose in a variety of Christmas jumpers designed by Selfish Mother, which are available to buy now. The brand also created the 2017 offerings.

This year’s designs come in black or red versions of the sweaters, and feature either the word Peace, Hope, Love or Joy written on the front in block gold lettering. All come with a £55 ($72) price tag, with 50 per cent of proceeds donated to help children in the world’s toughest countries. Sharing Greg’s photography on his own Instagram page, The Hobbit star Luke wrote: “When I visited slum communities in India, I was truly shocked by the extreme levels of poverty that children are forced to live in. It was there that I witnessed first-hand the difference @SaveChildrenUK is making to children’s lives by helping give them better access to education. Please join me in supporting @SaveChildrenUK by wearing the @SelfishMother LOVE sweatshirt on Friday 14th December #ChristmasJumperDay.”

Peaky Blinders actress Annabelle also shared a message.

“You can make the world better with a sweater this Christmas! Get the PEACE or the JOY sweatshirt (or both! Like me!) or one of the other @SelfishMother sweaters from the @TheFMLYstore,” she wrote.

Cheryl takes better care of her skin now that she’s a mother.

The British singer and boyfriend Liam Payne, 24, became parents for this first time last year (17) to son Bear, and Cheryl quickly learned she’d need to adapt her beauty regime as she embraced motherhood. Her skincare routine was given the biggest overhaul once she realised she needed to “up her game” and really focus on hydration.

“I’ve got a couple of luxury serums from SkinCeuticals,” the 34-year-old explained in an interview with Britain’s Glamour magazine during the Cannes Film Festival. “I use the £85 ($115) Hyaluronic Acid Intensifier serum, which is really great.”

Though the Call My Name hitmaker admits the product is “luxury and it’s a bit more of an expense” she’s adamant it’s worth splashing out on skincare in the long run.

“If you take care of your skin, your make-up looks fresher,” she considered. “Having a good base makes it far easier than trying to cover skin ailments with make-up as you’re not really addressing the problem.”

Former Girls Aloud singer Cheryl also shared that she takes a two-step supplement by Lumity both morning and night, and added that she received her best beauty tips from Spice Girls’ Geri Horner during their girl band days.

And as a busy mum, it’s no surprise that the pop star prefers a more relaxed approach when it comes to exercise.

“I do love yoga,” she smiled. “I like it for calming your state of mind so instead of doing mad cardio where it intensifies it, it calms you down.”
