Kim Kardashian honoured her longtime friend Mario Dedivanovic at the 2019 American Influencer Awards on Monday night.

The reality star made a surprise appearance at the ceremony held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood to present the Artist Achievement Award to her make-up artist.

Kim has worked with the 36-year-old for more than 10 years, and the duo has collaborated on several projects together, including their first make-up collection last year.

Taking to the stage at the American Influencer Awards wearing a vintage red Dior dress and Manolo Blahnik heels, Kim paid tribute to her close friend before handing the gong to a visibly emotional Mario.

“I love him! No one deserves this award more than him. I’m so beyond proud of him!” the 39-year-old later wrote on her Instagram Stories, alongside pictures from the event.

The mother-of-four recently announced her second collection with Mario, the KKW x Mario: Artist and Muse collection, which was inspired by their lengthy professional relationship.

“With this collection and campaign (which consists of some of my all-time favourite shades and textures) I wanted to personally honour her and to thank her on behalf of every boy and girl out there who’s life she’s touched in some way. She is my muse and she is our muse,” he wrote on social media.

The collection includes an eyeshadow palette, lipliner, and lipsticks. Items feature images of Kim and Mario on the chic packaging, with the whole set to launch on 22 November.

Kim Kardashian has signed on as the keynote speaker for next month’s (Jul18) Beautycon spectacular in Los Angeles.

The reality star will headline the two-day event, which serves as a networking experience for cosmetics industry insiders and is expected to attract over 22,000 guests – including celebrities and beauty gurus – to the L.A. Convention Center.

The convention will also feature a sit down with Kardashian’s makeup artist of 10 years, Mario Dedivanovic, and her hairstylist, Chris Appleton.

Other notable attendees set to hit the stage include Salma Hayek, Emma Roberts, and Riverdale’s Madelaine Petsch.

Launched in 2011, Beautycon has grown into a multi-city affair, and it was last held in New York this past April (18).

“At our New York show, Zendaya had a discussion about colorism and the degree of darkness that constitutes someone who is African American and what is or isn’t acceptable to Hollywood,” said Beautycon CEO Moj Mahdara in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “We’re so proud that these types of conversations are taking place at an event that we’ve worked really hard to create and we’re grateful that talent rises to the occasion to talk about intense topics that are beyond the cosmetic industry.

“In L.A., we expect to have discussions around entrepreneurship, gender fluidity, mind and body, and a panel on redefining masculinity.”

Over 100 brands, including Kyle Jenner’s line Kylie Cosmetics, will be showcased.

“It’s also our first year to offer ‘B-well,’ which is an area of 20 to 30 brands showcasing supplements and nutritional items focused on well-being,” Mahdara added. “Our other goal is to build the ultimate retail experiential pop-up in the beauty market. The numbers we’re seeing on the consumer spend are mind-blowing. People come to Beautycon to shop!”

Kardashian has established herself as a leading influencer in the makeup industry, and the 37 year old currently runs her own cosmetics brand KKWxMARIO with Dedivanovic.

Beautycon will take place on 14 July (18) and 15 July (18).

Kim Kardashian is expanding her popular beauty range with a new lipstick line.

The reality TV star went into partnership with cosmetics manufacturer Seed Beauty for her KKW Beauty collection last year (17), with her contour kits, highlighters and eyeshadow palettes all selling out.

Now, Kim has announced that she is following her younger sister Kylie Jenner into the lipstick business and is gearing up to launch a range of lip products.

“OMG (Oh my God) I’ve been wearing these for months now!” she captioned a close-up photo of her sporting a light brown lipstick on her Instagram page on Tuesday (29May18). “My favourite Nude lipsticks & lip liners launching June 8th kkwbeauty.com. The creamiest long-lasting lipstick formula.”

Kim went on to explain that the line will include eight lipsticks and three lipliners. She added that she couldn’t wait for fans to see the packaging, and also uploaded a preview video on her KKW Beauty account giving followers a sneak peek at the lip colours, which appear to include a light pink, a mauve-based hue with glossy and a mid-brown shade.

Previously, Kim teamed on a four-piece liquid lipstick collection for Kylie Cosmetics and created a nude cream lipstick named Classic K as part of her limited-edition line with her make-up artist Mario Dedivanovic.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians personality often sports nude lip colours to red carpet events, with Mario recently explaining that Classic K was a mix of some of his favourite neutral tones.

“I’ve always had these nude lip palettes and I would mix a bunch of colours by hand to create her lip shade,” he told People last month. “It always turns out to be a similar colour that she really loves and that I really love on her. So we recreated that colour that I have been mixing for so many years into the Classic K lipstick. It’s definitely going to become the staple lipstick for whoever buys it and loves the Kim K nude lip.”

Kim Kardashian loves to play up her Armenian heritage when she’s getting her make-up done.

Mario Dedivanovic, Kim’s long-time make-up artist who’s been working with the star since 2008 and helped cultivate her signature contoured look, has now revealed that the reality TV queen often asks him to make her look “ethnic” when she’s in his make-up chair.

“Kim’s Armenian and she loves to look Armenian and ethnic,” Mario told The Hollywood Reporter. “She’d say, ‘Make me look ethnic.’ I feel like that was one of the reasons that she really loved my make-up so much is that I made her feel ethnic and kind of like herself.”

Kim and Mario have recently collaborated on a new line for her KKW Beauty brand, with the collection featuring an eyeshadow palette, matte lipstick and several neutral lip glosses.

In the accompanying campaign images, the 37-year-old has toned down her usual baked look, where translucent powder sits on the face for up to 10 minutes to allow the warmth of the skin to set foundation and concealer, in favour of letting her natural skin shine through.

And Mario also opened up about his most famous client’s ever-evolving look.

“We’ve changed our make-up style and the amount of make-up – going from heavier to more natural to supernatural and now back to a little bit heavy and the amount of lashes or lack of lashes that we use now – but throughout all of that what has remained constant is her love of contour,” he shared. “The nude lip has been pretty consistent, as well. I think it was heavier and more opaque in the earlier days and now it’s more sheer.”

Kim Kardashian grew emotional while launching the latest KKW Beauty collection as she considered her longtime friendship with brand partner Mario Dedivanovic.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star collaborated with her makeup artist of 10 years on the new X Mario line and hosted a celebration ahead of the debut on Friday (30Mar18). During the event, the 37-year-old tearfully looked back on her friendship with Dedivanovic and revealed he taught her everything she knows about makeup.

“I really am grateful that you guys came to see me and Mario. I feel like this has been 10 years in the making,” Kardashian said in a dedication Dedivanovic has now shared on Instagram. “Everything I’ve learned about makeup has come from Mario.”

The brunette beauty also shared how he taught her to apply products.

“I would say, ‘OK I’m gonna wipe off half my face, and I want you to see and watch me do it and make sure I could, like, make it perfect just like yours,’” she recalled. “And I would have him just teach me lesson after lesson of how to do makeup.”

As she thanked the beauty pro, she began to cry while attendees, including her mother Kris Jenner were also brought to tears.

“I’m so grateful for you Mario, I’m not gonna cry so I don’t want to talk, but literally you’ve taught me everything,” she said, as Jenner is seen drying her eyes in the video.

Last week (ends30Mar18), Kardashian marked the decade-long relationship by sharing an image of the two from their first photoshoot together in 2008.

“The day I met @makeupbymario,” she captioned a playful picture of the makeup maven touching her up.

X Mario hits retailers on 5 April (18), on the anniversary of when the pair met, and includes lip glosses, an eye shadow palette and lipstick. Each item is inspired by looks Mario created for the fashionista.

Kim Kardashian is introducing three brand new perfumes, the Kimoji Heart Fragrances, to her beauty brand as a Valentine’s Day treat.

The beauty mogul announced the limited edition collection on the KKW Fragrance Instagram page on Tuesday (23Jan18), revealing three heart-shaped fragrances called Bae, BFF, and Ride or Die.

“Will you be our Valentine? @kimoji Heart fragrances coming 02.01. KKWFRAGRANCE.COM,” the shot was captioned.

Kim’s perfumes will launch on 1 February online and, if the reaction is anything compared to her previous collection, her Valentine’s Day trio is bound to be a hit with her customers.

The star, who recently welcomed third child Chicago West into the world, released three crystal themed perfumes last year and reportedly shattered sales records by racking up $10 million (£7.1 million) worth of sales in just one day.

Kim has also been working on other products as part of her KKW Beauty label, and a collection with make-up artist Mario Dedivanovic is also expected to drop this year.

“I am really excited about my collab with Mario,” she previously told reporters at Harper’s Bazaar.com. “We’re working on stuff we use as our everyday stuff. Concealers – I was going to launch concealers next, but I really wanted to perfect it. So I think concealers will be next.

“We have amazing lip products and lip liners coming out. They’re not matte. They’re not glossy, they’re just really to me the perfect lipstick that stays on for so long.”

Kim’s younger sister Khloe is also reportedly breaking into the beauty industry, with rumours of the reality star launching her own cosmetics range, KOKO Kollection By Khloe Kardashian. According to editors at The Blast, documents filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office reveal that KOKO Kollection was registered on 18 January by the star’s production company. There is no further information to suggest when the products will go on sale.
