Martha Stewart has divulged her quarantine beauty routine in a candid social media post.

Like millions of others during the coronavirus crisis, the TV personality is currently in social isolation and has no one she can call on to help her maintain her polished appearance.

And taking to Instagram over the weekend, Stewart confessed that she was desperately missing her glam squad.

“Where is my hairdresser Megan? Where is my makeup artist @daisybeautytoye? Where is my colourist Parvin Klein @bergdorfs? Where is my manicurist Luda @johnbarrettnyc?” she wrote alongside a minimally made-up selfie. “I think about you all daily as I attempt my own daily ablutions and preparations.”

Stewart then launched into a stream of back-to-basics beauty tips and tricks, delighting fans caught in lockdowns with low supplies of skincare and cosmetics.

“I warn all of you to not attempt frivolous ‘fixes’ during this time. Wash your hair, condition it, air dry it,” the 78-year-old instructed. “Remove chipped polish and lightly file your nails, (and) with all the hand washing, apply lots of rich hand lotion and reparative ointments.”

For skincare, Stewart recommended cleansing and moisturising skin both day and night, applying a tinted sunscreen, and using a lip gloss.

But in one of her few indulgent suggestions, the lifestyle guru advocated for cannabidiol (CBD) oil-infused face masks: “Apply masks two or three times a week! If you can find CBD masks and serums use those.”

Stewart’s post concluded with some general lockdown health guidelines, including to go easy on cakes and cookies, eat vegetables, and to go outside while observing socially responsible precautions.

“We will survive this newest life challenge I know it is painful and hurtful and difficult. But it is not war. It is a virus. We know what we have to do. Do it!” she insisted.

Martha Stewart has slammed Felicity Huffman’s prison uniform in a scathing rant.

The Desperate Housewives star was photographed in a dark green prison jumpsuit and white baseball cap while serving her 14-day prison sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution in Dublin, California on Saturday.

Huffman’s husband William H. Macy and their 17-year-old daughter Georgia were visiting the actress, who began her time on 15 October after pleading guilty to charges in the U.S. college admissions scandal.

But Stewart, who famously served time behind bars in 2004 after being convicted of multiple felonies, has now shared how disappointed she is with the 56-year-old’s prison ensemble.

“She should style her outfit a little bit more,” the lifestyle guru said during a discussion at Vanity Fair’s New Establishment Summit in Beverly Hills on Tuesday. “She looked pretty schlumpy.”

“She made a horrible mistake, and she’s experiencing what happens,” Stewart added.

Huffman was also sentenced to 250 community service hours and a $30,000 (£23,000) fine. She will be released on 29 October.

Stewart, 78, became famous after she launched her company in 1982 and became America’s first female self-made billionaire when Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia went public in 1999.

However, in 2001, Stewart was convicted of obstruction of justice, making false statements and conspiracy for lying to investigators, and served five months in prison following a high-profile trial three years later. Her empire is currently worth more than $600 million (£491 million).

The life and work of fashion icon Ralph Lauren is to be the subject of a new documentary.

Lauren launched his career with a line of men’s ties in 1967, and the following year, developed his debut range of Polo menswear. The 79-year-old designer has since gone on to build up a reputation for his American sportswear and preppy classics, and on Tuesday, a spokesperson for U.S. network HBO announced that the Very Ralph documentary will be released on 12 November.

“For more than 50 years, he has celebrated the iconography of America and defined American style, translating his vision and inspiration into one of the world’s most widely recognised brands,” a representative said in a statement. “In Very Ralph, as he enters his sixth decade in business, Lauren reflects on his journey from a boy from The Bronx who didn’t know what a fashion designer was, to becoming the emblem of American style all around the world.”

Very Ralph will be directed and produced by Susan Lacy, the award-winning documentarian previously made HBO projects such as 2017’s Spielberg and 2018’s Jane Fonda in Five Acts.

The film will also contain archive footage, interviews with Lauren’s family, as well long-standing colleagues, including Anna Wintour, Andre Leon Talley, Jason Wu, Naomi Campbell, Martha Stewart, Calvin Klein, Tyson Beckford, Diane von Furstenberg, and Jessica Chastain.

“Offering unprecedented access to his life and work, Ralph Lauren speaks candidly in extensive interviews about his childhood, his five-decade-long marriage, the early days of his company, his response to criticism, his inventive multi-page ad campaigns and his pioneering vision which includes a remarkable series of firsts,” they added.

Christie Brinkley was nearly brought to tears when one of her fancy stilettos become stuck in an escalator at a recent event.

The model and businesswoman made an appearance at the premiere of National Geographic film Paris to Pittsburgh at the Film Society of Lincoln Center in New York City on Monday night (03Dec18), but as she left the building with some friends, she suffered a major fashion disaster when one of her Christian Louboutin high heels became caught in the grate of an escalator step.

“My brand-new Christian Louboutin!” she is seen crying out while standing on the escalator in a video posted to her Instagram page. “My shoe is stuck… Nooo!”

Towards the end of the clip, the person shooting the footage zoomed-in on the shoe, which appeared to be fully stuck in the step and have its thin heel mangled.

And as a pair of Louboutin stilettos cost at least $700 (£545), it’s understandable why the blonde beauty was more than a little upset.

However, in the accompanying caption to the video, Christie displayed her humorous side and explained what happened with a series of footwear-related puns.

“It hurts my SOLE to see this agony of deFEAT ..the escalator won this time… but I’ll be back with another pair of sparklers! OH HEEL YEAH!” the 64-year-old joked. “Somebody call the police… the fashion police! There’s no business like shoe business… now what will I wear to all the Pumps and circumstance tomorrow night at the Footwear Achievement Awards! Hope you’re getting a kick out of this… actually I’m the one who needs a new kick! That pump was a real heel ..my new ARCH RIVAL! Haha! Have I PUNished you enough toe-night? Lol! Gotta laugh!”

Prior to Christie’s shoe drama, she uploaded a photo showing her posing with Martha Stewart and former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg at the bash.

“An Absolutely Vital Film of our Times #paristopittsburgh is a Must See because we can make a difference and we MUST!” she wrote alongside the happy snap. “@bloombergdotorg Thank You! @marthastewart great to see you! @natgeo I love you!”

Snoop Dogg has chosen 50 of his favourite recipes for his first ever cookbook.

The Gin & Juice star, who is also co-host of cooking show Martha and Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party with Martha Stewart, is showing off his culinary skills in a new book, titled From Cook to Crook.

“You know it’s blazin’ up in my kitchen,” a press release from Snoop reads. “I’m takin’ the cookbook game higher with a dipped and whipped collection of my favorite recipes, ya dig?”

Snoop’s recipes include his own baked macaroni and cheese, baby back ribs and chicken and waffles. And to give non-cooks the chance to shine at parties, the 46-year-old Grammy nominee and father-of-four serves up the dishes by meal and occasion, offering up his own personal entertainment tips throughout.

Snoop, who has been public about his love of marijuana for decades, did not include any cannabis-infused dishes in From Crook to Cook, but he did share some of the items he eats when he gets the munchies, as well as his own gin and juice cocktail recipe.

Snoop’s new cookbook announcement comes just weeks before his TV sidekick, Martha Stewart, hosts her Martha Stewart Wine & Food Experience to New York event in the Big Apple in partnership with USA TODAY Network to promote her own new recipe book, Pressure Cooker.

She will lead cooking demonstrations with recipes from the new title alongside other celebrity chefs at the big cookout, which takes place on 8 September (18) at the The LeFrak Center at Lakeside in Prospect Park, Brooklyn.

Snoop’s cookbook is now available for pre-order ahead of its release on 23 October (18).

Bruce Willis: ‘Die Hard isn’t a Christmas movie’

Bruce Willis has declared that Die Hard is not a Christmas movie.

Directed by John McTiernan and co-written by Steven E. de Souza and Jeb Stuart, the 1988 action classic follows Willis’ character John McClane, an off-duty police officer, as he is caught in a Los Angeles skyscraper during a Christmas Eve heist.

Due to the festive setting of Die Hard, fans have long debated whether the film can be classed as a Christmas movie, however, the movie’s lead star has finally weighed in on the topic.

“Die Hard is not a Christmas movie. It’s a goddamn Bruce Willis movie!” he said at the conclusion of the taping of the Comedy Central Roast of Bruce Willis on Saturday night (14Jul18) at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, according to Variety.

After the roast, reporters asked Willis how fans may react to his stance, to which he added: “We’ll see.”

While the 63-year-old appears to be opposed to Die Hard being in the Christmas movie genre, last December, de Souza commented on Twitter that he did think it could be considered a seasonal film.

“I’m sure you’ve weighed in on it before, but I’ve never heard you or Jeb Stuart offer your take on whether Die Hard is a Christmas movie,” he was asked by CNN reporter Jake Tapper, to which he replied: “Yes, because the studio rejected the Purim (Jewish holiday) draft #DieHardIsAChristmasMovie.”

Willis was joined by his wife Emma Heming at the event, while Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Martha Stewart, Dennis Rodman and David Hasselhoff were guests.

In addition, the star’s ex-wife and mother of his three eldest daughters, Demi Moore, made a surprise appearance and didn’t hold back in her jabs.

“I was married to Bruce Willis for the first three Die Hard movies, which makes sense, because the last two sucked,” she joked during her speech.

The Comedy Central Roast of Bruce Willis will air in the U.S. on 29 July.
