Meghan Trainor was left frustrated and embarrassed when her waist was digitally trimmed down in one of her music videos.

Back in 2016, the singer took down the video to Me Too when she realised her figure had been heavily altered and demanded the issue be fixed.

In a new interview with model Ashley Graham for her podcast Pretty Big Deal, the Grammy winner opened up about the fall-out from the incident, and insisted that she would never approve of altering her body because she was a “no Photoshop girl”.

“You have no say,” the 26-year-old explained, adding that while she was attentive to the edits of the video, she instantly knew something was wrong when it was released. “I approved a video. It wasn’t that.”

The All About That Bass hitmaker said she originally thought it was fans who had used Photoshop on her waist and confessed that what she saw on the screen “wasn’t human”.

She then insisted that her team take down the video and replace it with the unaltered one, and was left upset about the incident because it contradicted the body positivity messages in her songs, like All About That Bass.

“Of everyone (this could happen to), me? I am the ‘no Photoshop’ girl,” Meghan shared, adding that she was “embarrassed” about the situation.

After former Sports Illustrated beauty Ashley complained about the times she had explicitly told photographers on photoshoots not to retouch her body, only for them to ignore her demands, Meghan said she was unnerved by the experience of being altered without her permission.

“It’s so frustrating,” she sighed.

Joan Collins has revealed she would have played the role of Cleopatra if she had “been nice” to the studio bosses at the time.

The actress, 85, spoke candidly about her early Hollywood experiences during an appearance at the London Palladium on Sunday (17Feb19).

Performing her show Joan Collins: Unscripted, the actress was asked about rumours that she was in the running for the title role in 1963’s Cleopatra, which was eventually played by Elizabeth Taylor.

After showing a clip of her initial screen test, the performer addressed the political climate in Hollywood during the mid-20th century, suggesting that bosses favoured actresses that were “nice” to them.

“I’ll tell you something now that we are in the Me Too generation,” she said. “If I had been nice to those heads of studios and those people that were running Cleopatra, I would have played Cleopatra.”

The Dynasty star, who shared the stage with husband Percy Gibson, admitted that the head of 20th Century Fox at the time, Buddy Adler, had propositioned her when she was in line for the role.

Gibson went on to recall a story that he had read at the time, with Collins joking that she responded to the unwarranted advances with the quip “my agent’s outside, let’s bring him in and make the deal.”

Despite suggesting that several Hollywood actresses had made similar deals with studio bosses to secure roles, the American Horror Story star confessed that she’d never been enticed.

“I’ve never been involved,” she insisted, reiterating, “I’ve never done casting couch or any of that.”

Meghan Trainor invests in top quality wigs to make her dreams of modelling long hairstyles a reality because she’s struggled to grow her real locks out for years.

The Me Too singer admits fans can always tell when she’s rocking her natural look or a wig simply by the length of her strands, because she’s tried every kind of miracle product in the past, and nothing has worked to speed up her hair growth.

Meghan recently stepped out with long, straightened hair dyed blue and pink, and has now confirmed that it’s all fake.

“This is a full wig,” she shared during a guest co-hosting stint on breakfast show Today on Monday (25Jun18) when she showed off her light pink tresses.

Explaining why she has been feeling the new look of late, she said, “Long hair equals power.”

“I can’t physically do it (grow my hair out), it won’t happen for me,” Meghan confessed. “Tried for years now, tried all the shampoos and all the magic, it just doesn’t care anymore, it gave up on me! So, I invested in wigs.”

The popstar also plans to rock a wig for her Christmas (18) wedding to her actor fiance Daryl Sabara so she can have a little fun on the dance floor.

“I think long, blonde and wavy, so I can whip it around,” she mused of her ideal hairstyle for their big day, which will take place in her backyard at home in Los Angeles.

The bride-to-be has yet to share details about her ideas for her wedding make-up, but she may well turn to Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty line of cosmetics after gushing about one particular product she cannot get enough of.

“My fancy lip gloss by Rihanna… I cannot live without,” Meghan said. “It tastes really good! And it smells really good, and it’s moisturising; it lasts!”
