Designer Michael Costello has slammed one of his famous clients who refused to help him during the coronavirus pandemic.
The Project Runway star recently launched a collection of reusable non-surgical masks, and for every one bought, announced that he would donate two to any hospital in the U.S.
To reach his goal of donating one million masks to frontline workers and first responders as part of his Million Masks Mission, Costello had appealed to his celebrity clients to help him spread the word of his initiative, and in a scathing Instagram post on Tuesday, the designer blasted one famous face that had ignored his request.
“Remember how every time you needed a dress, I would instantly drop everything to prioritise you? I would stop all my projects to make you something special last minute? Sometimes even within the same day? Now I ask you for help to give back to our community yet you leave me on ‘seen,'” he wrote, referencing his Instagram direct message had been read, but not replied to.
He did not name the culprit to his 1.4 million followers, but did suggest that it was the end of his professional relationship with his high-profile client.
“So now you don’t need a dress because we are all stuck in our living rooms with nowhere to go…” Costello wrote. “Just know that I will always remember the night I asked you for a little help and you left me on seen. The next time you need my help, just don’t feel sad when I pretend like I didn’t see you message either.”
The 37-year-old signed off his fiery message with, “Xoxoxo petty b**ch.”
