Tom Hardy has confirmed there are plans to make two more Mad Max movies.

The British actor played the title character in Mad Max: Fury Road in 2015, which also starred Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. The film was a huge critical success and received 10 Academy Award nominations, going on to win six of the accolades. And fans of George Miller’s epic action flick will be pleased to know that the story of Max Rockatansky is far from over.

“It was always the plan to do three of them, so I think we’re still waiting on being given the opportunity and the green light to go ahead on the next one. But when I engaged on that there was a plethora of material on it,” Tom shared in an interview with Variety at Comic-Con over the weekend (21-22Jul18). “Obviously it belongs to Warner Brothers so it would be them who green-lit it. But a lot of projects are in radial, you know you wait for something to land when it’s real, and as soon as it’s real we’ll jump on it.”

The 40-year-old previously claimed he was “anxiously waiting to find out” when the next instalment will begin production, while Charlize – who played Imperator Furiosa in the movie – also said she’d be “totally on board” with a follow-up.

In the meantime, Tom is promoting his upcoming movie Venom, in which he plays the Marvel Comics character of the same name alongside Michelle Williams and Riz Ahmed. And the Dunkirk star shared that one reason he decided to take on the role of the iconic antihero was his 10-year-old son Louis.

“My son is a massive Venom fan, and he was a strong influence on why I should play Venom specifically. I wanted to do something my son could watch,” he explained, jokingly adding: “So I did something where I bite people’s heads off.”

Michelle Williams has signed on to star in underground abortion drama This Is Jane.

The Blue Valentine actress will headline the project for Amazon Studios, with Boys Don’t Cry director Kimberly Peirce set to helm the film, according to Deadline.

Based on Laura Kaplan’s 1995 book The Story of Jane: The Legendary Underground Feminist Abortion Service, the movie will tell how an activist in Chicago formed a group that provides education and counselling for women seeking abortions after being dissatisfied with the state of health services available in the United States during the 1960s.

The Jane Collective, officially known as the Abortion Counseling Service of Women’s Liberation, characterised abortion as a social problem that mirrored the oppression of women in social and political arenas.

The group claimed to have performed more than 11,000 abortions but disbanded after the Roe v Wade case made abortion legal throughout the U.S. in 1973.

Michelle will play the Jane Collective’s founder, simply known as Jenny. Other casting details and a potential release date have not yet been confirmed. Michelle, John Lesher, and Peter Heller will be producing the film.

The 37-year-old actress was most recently seen onscreen as Charity Barnum in The Greatest Showman and as Avery LeClaire in Amy Schumer comedy I Feel Pretty.

She is currently in production on several films, including sci-fi-horror flick Venom, also starring Tom Hardy, and After the Wedding, a drama about the manager of an orphanage in Kolkata who travels to New York to meet a benefactor.

In addition, she has been attached to headline a Janis Joplin biopic and musical-drama entitled Annette.

Kelly Rowland takes her daily skincare regime very seriously and wears sunscreen every day.

The singer always rocks a flawless complexion and has previously described herself as “a beauty product hoarder” due to her love of cosmetics.

While Kelly enjoys experimenting with hair and make-up, she is adamant that keeping her skin soft and healthy is always her number one priority.

“I believe in skincare above anything,” she explained in an interview with U.S. Elle at the launch of Schick’s new Intuition f.a.b. razor – a brand for which Kelly is an ambassador. “One (favourite product) would definitely be Shani Darden’s Retinol Reform. Another one would be iS Clinical face wash, because I believe in washing your face. And a sunscreen – iS Clinical has a great sunscreen.”

The 37-year-old is also a big fan of Jessica Alba’s cosmetics line, Honest Beauty, and likes to use the brand’s Magic Balm around her eyes in the summertime.

“Pat McGrath has these beautiful colours in her eye palettes. Stunning for summer,” Kelly added. “She just gave me (a palette) through my make-up artist, Sheika Daley. And I’m in love with it.”

The Stole hitmaker had a ball playing with her beauty look during last month’s (Apr18) Coachella festival, where she reunited with former bandmates Beyonce Knowles and Michelle Williams for a surprise Destiny’s Child reunion during Bey’s iconic headline set.

And being part of a two-week event meant that Kelly was able to have double the fun when it came to her style choices.

“(My look) did change week-to-week,” she explained. “The first week, where we had the rhinestone fatigue camo on, that was a smokier look and a little bit more sultry. It was fun. The next week was glow, glow, glow. I told Sheika I really wanted to glow. And she glowed me right on out. I loved it.”

Amy Schumer felt an instant connection when she read the I Feel Pretty script for the first time.

The comedienne has successfully transitioned to starring in Hollywood films in recent years, headlining features such as Trainwreck and Snatched.

For her latest role, Schumer takes on the part of Renee Bennett, an insecure woman who gains extreme self-confidence after suffering a head injury, and has now explained that the plot, written by Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein, genuinely resonated with her.

“I have felt all sides of her,” she told Total Film magazine. “I’ve had moments of feeling invisible, and I’ve had moments where I feel really great about myself. And those moments where I have too much confidence – moments where I’m like, ‘Am I maybe amazing? Am I the most beautiful girl?’ Then there will be a reminder of, ‘Hey, chill out,’ where I get cut down to size.”

Along with penning the storyline, Kohn and Silverstein also made their directorial debut on the film.

Speaking about the original concept, Silverstein explained that they were inspired by 1988 fantasy-drama Big, which stars Tom Hanks and follows a young boy who makes a wish to be big and is transformed into an adult overnight.

”For us, this came from a funny idea,” he shared. “We loved ’80s movies like Big, so we thought, wouldn’t this be funny if you took one of those movies and made it without the actual concept and made all in someone’s mind?”

I Feel Pretty also features Emily Ratajkowski, Aidy Bryant, Busy Philipps, Naomi Campbell and Lauren Hutton, with Oscar-nominated star Michelle Williams playing a soft-spoken beauty company executive named Avery LeClaire. And the directors couldn’t praise Michelle’s performance enough.

“In someone else’s hands, that character could have been cartoony, but not with her,” smiled Kohn.

Amy Schumer made designer Brandon Maxwell so nervous he couldn’t speak.

Brandon designed the vibrant red and pink gown Amy wore to the Los Angeles premiere of her new movie, I Feel Pretty on Thursday night (19Apr18).

Taking to Instagram to show off his creation, which featured a plunging neckline and thigh-high slit, Lady Gaga’s fashion director Brandon revealed to his followers he was blown away working with the actress.

“Every once in a while a fitting comes along where I get so nervous that I’m saying words in my mind but they don’t come out of my mouth, you know? Such was the case with @amyschumer,” he captioned three images of the blonde actress.

“I have loved her from afar for so long. On bad days at work when I need a laugh I just close my office door, open up my lunch, and watch re runs of Youtube videos of her that I’ve seen a thousand times. So, in my mind she was already my lunchtime best friend, the one you sit with in the cafeteria that makes you feel loved and seen and good about yourself when you need it the most.”

Luckily, Amy lived up to Brandon’s hype, and he told his followers she fully embodied all his expectations, with the designer leaving the fitting “really loving” his job.

I Feel Pretty, which co-stars Michelle Williams, Busy Philipps and Emily Ratajkowski, tells the story of Amy’s character Renee, a woman who struggles with self-esteem issues until she wakes from a fall believing she’s the most beautiful and capable woman on the planet.

“The movie opens this weekend and I hope it makes you feel every bit as good as she and @leesaevansstyle made me and my team feel,” he concluded, tagging Amy’s stylist Leesa Evans in the post.

Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing elevated Beyonce’s politically charged Coachella set with custom-made military-inspired looks.

Beyonce wowed the crowds in California on Saturday night (14Apr18) with a storming two-hour set, which saw her reunite with her Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, sing with her husband JAY-Z and dance with sister Solange Knowles.

As well as her impressive 26-song set, Beyonce’s wardrobe also got people talking, and designer Olivier, who previously worked with the singer on her 2016 tour, has shed light on his dazzling designs.

“Marni (Senofonte, Beyonce’s stylist) told me that the shows were all about survivors and that B was looking for something in a military style,” he told Vogue. “Our silhouettes and our sort of Mad Max, futuristic take on military looks for Fall were a perfect fit.”

“B is a perfectionist. She has such a distinct vision for fashion and for her music, I really learned a lot from this experience and from watching her work in those rehearsals.”

Among the outfits he designed was a regal Egyptian-inspired gold and black cape with intricate embellishments, a hologram-fabric black jacket and bodysuit, a collegiate-style embellished yellow hoodie with BAK written on the front and a camouflage and mesh minidress.

Olivier also dressed all the dancers and Michelle and Kelly. And working on the outfits proved to be a real family affair.

“I think the thing I will always remember is sitting on the floor with B and cutting fabric. Blue (Beyonce’s daughter) comes in and runs over to B, and B holds her in her arms while talking to us about the cuts and silhouettes. To me, it was just such a beautiful moment because here you are with this megastar but also, she is a strong woman and a loving momma to her daughter,” he recalled.

“Jay saw the Egyptian goddess cape and when B put it on, his eyes went wide and he was so excited. He said, ‘Oh, wow!’ That gave me a lot of satisfaction.”

Margot Robbie’s stylist has promised an Oscars dress that will go down in fashion history.

The 27-year-old is up for the Best Actress Academy Award at the ceremony in Hollywood on Sunday (04Mar18), after impressing critics with her performance as Tonya Harding in biographical movie I, Tonya.

With all eyes guaranteed to be on the Australian film star, her stylist Kate Young has ensured Margot’s gown will be one to remember.

“It needs to stand up in history,” she stated to The Telegraph. “Everything is ready. The designer and style were in place about five weeks ago, the colour we confirmed about three weeks ago. This is one dress you do not leave to the last minute.”

Kate has previously picked out the perfect outfits for other famous faces in Tinseltown, including Natalie Portman, Michelle Williams and Dakota Johnson. And with the Oscars buzz capturing worldwide attention, the stylist explains that it is essential to find the right design house to collaborate with.

“It’s more formal than any other event, you can really go for it,” she smiled, adding that top brands are willing to invest a lot in order to have their designs displayed on the red carpet.

And while Margot will be feeling the pressure as she waits to hear whether she’ll be crowned winner or not, it’s just as nerve-wracking for the brains behind her look.

“Honestly, I think of it as the end. I have a lot of nerves because I haven’t seen anything in the flesh yet, and I am ambitious and competitive and want to be the best,” Kate told WWD. “All the months of hard work comes down to this. After Margot goes to the Oscars, I have a drink, and as soon as it’s over my stylist friends and I just text each other.”

Amy Schumer’s new movie I Feel Pretty will be released sooner than expected, having received a positive reception online.

The film was originally scheduled for release on 29 June (18) but STXfilms announced on Wednesday (14Feb18) that it will now hit cinemas on 27 April, claiming the studio’s decision to bring the film forward stems from the promising response to the trailer.

The YouTube video has had over four million views since it first dropped on 8 February, and STXfilms added that a successful test screening of I Feel Pretty also contributed to their decision to change the date.

Amy, 36, plays the lead role in the comedy flick, about a woman called Renee who struggles with feelings of inadequacy until she has a fall in her SoulCycle class and wakes up believing she’s the most beautiful woman in the world.

The comedian will star alongside Michelle Williams, who plays Amy’s boss in the film, as well as co-stars including Emily Ratajkowski and Rory Scovel. Screenwriting duo Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein, whose wife Busy Philipps also stars in the film, have co-written the movie, which will also mark the pair’s directorial debut having previously written for romantic comedies such as Never Been Kissed and He’s Just Not That Into You.

The Trainwreck star was also lined up to play Barbie in the live-action Sony/Mattel collaboration scheduled for release in 2020, but eventually had to turn down the project due to scheduling conflicts, with the role being re-cast to Oscar winner Anne Hathaway. However, Amy has previously shared that she’s more than happy with her replacement.

“Hathaway smathaway jkjk she’s perfect (sic)!!” the actress captioned a selfie she posted online. “Can’t wait to see it!”
