Rihanna personally signed off on every single detail in her latest Savage X Fenty collection.

The singer and fashion designer showed off the latest collection for her lingerie brand during an epic extravaganza at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn as part of New York Fashion Week on Tuesday night.

But in an interview with Entertainment Tonight backstage, the 31-year-old revealed that she is “too involved” in all aspects of the design process and there is nothing in the line that hasn’t had her stamp of approval.

“Oh my God, I’m too involved. I want a break but I’m a control freak, so I do everything,” Rihanna shared. “I see everything. There’s not one step of the way, there’s not one lace trim, there’s not one bra strap… there is not one bow on a panty that I do not see and approve.

“It’s a lot of work, but it’s the only way you can preserve a brand, that you start from scratch… Here, I have a unique opportunity to change things. I’ve always been so sincere with my perspective on this brand but to see the way that we’re perceived in the lingerie world.”

The fashion and beauty mogul added that there’s pressure on her to continue producing size-inclusive garments, admitting, “It makes me feel like now we cannot neglect those consumers.”

This year’s Savage X Fenty presentation was bigger than ever thanks to a partnership with executives at Amazon Prime Video, who will exclusively broadcast the show on 20 September. To keep details under wraps, photography and cell phones were banned from the venue.

In addition to the new designs, the show will also feature performances from DJ Khaled, Halsey, Big Sean, and Migos, among others, as well as special appearances from Cara Delevingne, Gigi and Bella Hadid, Normani, Joan Smalls, and Laverne Cox.

Cardi B has marked her love for husband Offset by getting his name inked behind her knee.

The I Like It hitmaker is no stranger to tattoos and has an extensive collection, including a cat and a cheetah on her hip, “Loyalty over Royalty” on her bicep, and a hand making the American Sign Language gesture for “I Love You” behind her right ear.

But Cardi decided to celebrate her love for her Migos star spouse with her latest addition – and chose a somewhat unusual position for the new design.

Offset showed off his wife’s new ink in an Instagram post on Sunday, which showed the rapper FaceTiming his other half, as she lifted up her leg to display her new tattoo – written in a black swirling font behind her knee.

“CANT WAIT TO GET HOME (sic),” Offset cheekily captioned the snap.

Cardi’s permanent display of affection for her husband comes after he showed his love for the Bodak Yellow star by having the Powerpuff Girl, Buttercup, inked on his neck with “Cardi B” written under the cartoon figure.

The couple has had a rocky relationship since they wed in secret in September 2017, and welcomed daughter Kulture in July last year. Cardi shocked fans when she announced they had split in December, following rumours of Offset’s infidelity.

He publicly tried to win his estranged wife back – even surprising the rapper onstage during one of her gigs with flowers – and the couple reunited weeks later.

It’s not the first time Cardi has had a tattoo tribute to a partner – she previously had the name of her then-boyfriend Tommy Geez inked in red on her wrist as she pined for him while he was in jail. It’s unclear whether or not she still has the design on her wrist.

Lizzo made a sartorial statement in a woodgrain-inspired number at the 2019 BET Awards on Sunday night.

The Juice hitmaker posed up a storm as she made her entrance at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, with her quirky outfit from House of Holland turning heads.

Lizzo, who also performed her hit song Truth Hurts during the ceremony, accessorised her look with matching hat and handpainted shoes, as well as a custom manicure by Eri Ishizu.

Taking to Instagram, the 31-year-old posted several snaps of her ensemble, and added the captions, “No I’m not a branch at all look baby I’m the whole damn tree! CUSTOM WOODGRAIN LEWK FOR THE @BETAWARDS,” and “Ooop! Did I give you a woody?”

A number of Lizzo’s celebrity pals were quick to praise her outfit, with actress Anna Faris writing, “Yeah!!” and Queer Eye star Jonathan Van Ness commenting, “Slay us to death queen dayum (sic),” alongside a string of heart eye emojis.

Other stars to pull out all of the stops for the 2019 BET Awards included Rihanna, who sported a full black leather outfit when presenting Mary J. Blige with the Lifetime Achievement Award, and Ciara, who wore a tangerine Jean Paul Gaultier dress with dramatic sleeves. The Goodies star completed her look with Stuart Weitzman shoes and jewellery from Anita Ko.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta personality Eva Marcille showed off her growing baby bump in a flowing pink gown from Michael Costello, Karrueche Tran wowed in a bright yellow suit as she walked the blue carpet with American football player Victor Cruz, and Black-ish star Yara Shahidi opted for a striking Prabal Gurung look complete with silver sequin skirt.

La La Anthony rocked a gold minidress, Migos trio Quavo, Takeoff, and Offset looked dapper in pastel suits with harnesses, and Blac Chyna went for a bombshell vibe in a red dress and platinum blonde wig, while host Regina Hall looked stunning in a black dress with voluminous sleeves.

Cardi B was forced to perform in a bathrobe at the Bonnaroo music festival on Sunday night, after her sparkly catsuit ripped.

The I Like It rapper had taken to the stage in Manchester, Tennessee looking incredible in her multi-coloured one-piece – much to the delight of eager fans who had wondered if she’d make it considering she’s had to cancel several recent shows due to plastic surgery complications.

However, after performing just a couple of songs, Cardi informed the audience of her wardrobe malfunction – a rip down the seam of the catsuit – which meant her bottom was more on show than she would have liked.

“I just wanna let y’all know that my outfit rip (sic),” the 26-year-old told the crowd, going on to push through the set for a couple more songs before disappearing off the stage.

After the audience kept themselves busy by singing Old Town Road during her absence, Cardi returned to the stage wearing a white bathrobe.

“We gonna keep it moving, baby,” she smiled. “We gonna keep it sexy. I don’t know how in this f**king robe, but we gonna do it!”

The mother-of-one still managed to inject some sex appeal into her 45-minute set, pulling back the robe to show off her strapless bra and thong, before eventually tying it around her waist so just her bottom half was concealed.

Earlier in the day, Cardi had taken to Instagram to mark Father’s Day for husband Offset. Sharing a picture of the Migos star with their 11-month-old daughter Kulture, she wrote: “Happy Father’s Day my love. I love how you always thinking about your kids’ future and the way you love them. FATHEROF4.”

Offset, 27, also has three other children from previous relationships.

Cardi B has splashed out $80,000 (£63,000) on diamond jewellery for her baby daughter Kulture.

The Bodak Yellow rapper took to Instagram on Monday to share a screenshot of a text message showing the details of her purchase as well as a photo of nine jewel-encrusted tennis bracelets and a pair of large diamond stud earrings.

“Everything will be ready at 3, bracelets are comin out cuteeee and changed the setting to the studs with the bigger pair, send ur guy at 3 also pls call Linda and tell her to wire the 80k, I just spoke to her she needs ur approval,” the text sent to Cardi stated, with the star adding in the caption, “Just spent a bag on my daughter, you know a bad b**ch gonna spoil. If I’m iced out my daughter gotta be too. YEUP IM BRAGGING CAUSE I BUST MY A*S TO DO SOO (sic).”

Cardi tagged New York-based jewellery company Pristine Jewelers in the post, and also uploaded a snap of Kulture, who she welcomed with her Migos rapper husband Offset last July, wearing one of the diamond bracelets.

However, she has since deleted both images from her Instagram page.

Cardi is no stranger to expensive bling, as the eight-carat teardrop-shaped diamond engagement ring Offset proposed to her with is worth an estimated $500,000 (£395,000).

Speaking about the ring on the red carpet at the 2018 Grammy Awards, the 26-year-old commented to E! News reporters, “It makes me feel good. Even when we’re in an argument… I’m like, ‘Does he really love me?’ He got me a half-million dollar ring, yeah he does.”

Cardi’s shopping spree comes shortly after she announced that she would be dropping new single Press, which she first teased in December, on Friday.

Rappers Migos are preparing for a court battle with their former business partners regarding a failed clothing line venture.

The Stir Fry hitmakers claim they entered an agreement with officials behind the Yung Rich Nation (YRN) label in 2015 to create an apparel collection, from which bandmates Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff would receive a percentage of royalties from sales.

However, according to court papers obtained by The Blast, they believe YRN bosses shortchanged them, and then refused to provide a full record of their accounts, making it difficult for the musicians to determine how much they were actually owed.

The trio accuses YRN chiefs of going on to produce products using the names of Migos albums and songs without permission, and they are demanding an injunction to halt the continued sales of the apparel, as well as requesting unspecified damages.

Migos’ lawsuit emerges months after YRN executives launched legal action against the band, alleging the rappers breached their contract by reneging on an agreement to promote the label in at least six music videos a year and four photo shoots, and take part in a minimum of six in-store signings.

The MCs ended up launching their own clothing and accessories range with label bosses at Universal Music Group, before trying to shut down the YRN company – as it shares the name of the group’s 2015 debut studio album.

Migos denied all claims of wrongdoing at the time, and filed a motion for YRN’s case to be dismissed earlier this year (18).

The suit comes months after a stylist for Offset hit the hip hop sensation with a lawsuit after he reportedly failed to pay for over $13,000 (£10,000) worth of clothing. The claim was made by bosses at Miami-based personal stylist company the Meyhem Group, who alleged Offset acknowledged he owed them but “has refused to pay”.

Jeremy Scott delivered a collection full of vibrant graphics and clever throwbacks for spring 2019.

The designer showcased his latest line on Thursday night (06Sep18) at Spring Studios in New York City, where the front row was graces by the likes of Gigi Hadid, Paris Jackson and Tiffany Haddish. And the crowd was treated to a ’90s offering full of oversized slogans, cartoon characters and images of Jeremy Scott himself.

“It was inspired by my old Polaroids,” he told Tampa Bay Times. “All the different elements where I’m experimenting with looks on myself, things that we were doing in 1996, a time before gender fluidity was a term.”

The presentation kicked off with flashes of neon orange across oversized sweatshirts, PVC jumpsuits and surfer shirts, which were given a hedonistic edgy twist with bold colourful embroideries, depicting words like ‘Riot’ ‘Sex’ and ‘Power’. These prominent words were also splashed across garments including a camo-print mini skirt, a khaki geometric cross body bag and skin-tight T-shirts.

The fun cartoon theme was expanded on further into the collection thanks to the inclusion of iconic characters such as Pokemon’s Pikachu, who was featured on neon pink and baby blue sweatshirts – one of which was modelled by Migos star Offset, whose wife Cardi B cheered him on in the FROW as he made his modelling debut.

Scott also took his Polaroid inspiration literally by incorporating images of his own face into the designs. Pictures of the 43-year-old in his younger years were splashed over T-shirts and hoodies, while multiple photographs were tiled across a white mini skirt, and a long-sleeved, ankle length dress.

“Often we have muses for our fashion. I decided I was my own muse this season,” he smiled.

New York Fashion Week continues on Friday with shows by fashion houses including Tory Burch.

Donatella Versace believes her bold clothes perfectly embody the current feminist movement.

In response to the sexual harassment and assault allegations that recently rocked the entertainment and fashion industries, women from all walks of life have become outspoken, telling their own #MeToo stories.

And the movement is something Donatella has championed through her overtly sexy designs since the beginning of her career.

“I want to make women feel that they can do that in Versace, and never be too shy to say what they think. That is what we have always stood for, but especially in this time,” she told Porter magazine.

In keeping with her brand’s aesthetic, Donatella, who took over as the head of Versace after her brother and label founder Gianni Versace was murdered in 1997, always wear flattering silhouettes that perfectly show off her slim frame.

Because for the 63-year-old, clothes are a way to convey her sultry side.

“It is a weapon. When your clothes are desirable, your attitude is too,” she commented. “It’s important to have something to say so that people want to listen to you, but it’s about people choosing to notice you because you look a certain way, so you need to have the voice to go with it.”

While Versace has long been the go-to brand for lots of A-listers, a new generation of stars are finding the label’s designs in something Donatella has dubbed a Versace “revival”. Hip-hop trio Migos and Bruno Mars have even dedicated songs to the Italian fashion house.

“Young people and millennials are obsessed with (Versace),” Donatella smiled.

“Those artists are the royalty of today. They are singing about real life and they convey what is desirable today – that youth culture isn’t afraid of being and looking sexy. It is a rebellion against forced minimalism and everyone dressing and looking the same. I always say that if everyone is wearing the same thing and saying the same thing then nobody is desirable.”

Cardi B dyed her hair blue to match her new Lamborghini.

Last month, Cardi revealed that she and husband Offset had bought themselves his and hers Lamborghinis, with the Migos rapper opting for a green version, and Cardi picking a blue hue.

While the Bodak Yellow singer is yet to actually get her driver’s licence, she’s totally obsessed with her new super car – so much so she’s made her hair match it.

Talking to Refinery29 about working with Cardi, her colourist and wig extraordinaire Cliff Vmir explained: “I think we work so well together because Cardi is crazy and daring. You never really know what she’s going to do and say. She did just get gifted a blue Lamborghini and she was like, ‘Cliff, I gotta get that colour,’ and she was so happy. I mixed together four different dyes and we got exactly the colour she wanted.”

Before he turned Cardi’s hair a vibrant blue shade, Cliff teased the wig on Instagram, asking his followers to guess who it was intended for.

Cliff was also the one behind the multi-coloured tresses the 25-year-old rocked while still pregnant with daughter Kulture, who was born in July (18).

“For the multi-colour, I was so scared to do that because she sent me a picture of a girl with all this different colour hair and I was like, ‘Girl, I don’t know how that’s gonna look.’ She was like,’No, I know.’ And so we did it and it turned out great,” he recalled.

Cardi B has reportedly stocked up on Versace, Givenchy and Fendi items for her newborn baby girl.

Cardi and husband Offset welcomed daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus on Tuesday (10Jul18), taking to Instagram the next day to announce the happy news.

To make the tot as comfortable as possible, TMZ reports the Bodak Yellow rapper has splashed the cash on essentials, selecting designer clothes, toys and strollers.

According to the website, Cardi visited West Hollywood baby boutique Couture Kids, where she bought a Fendi stroller, Stokke Xplory stroller, Versace changing bag, Young Versace dress, customised recliner and a Givenchy teddy bear, which came to just under $7,000 (£5,300).

The new parents are sparing no expense on their baby though, and hosted an extravagant baby shower last month, dubbed Bardi Shower: A Bronx Fairytale, in Atlanta.

Not long after the lavish affair, 25-year-old Cardi was gifted a lingerie set from Rihanna, and she admitted to her Instagram followers that she was excited to get her post-pregnancy body back so she could wear the underwear, from Rihanna’s new Savage x Fenty underwear brand, for her Migos musician husband.

“(Look at) this Fenty lingerie package,” Cardi told fans as she opened the box and touched the contents, which included a mint green bustier and a pair of black panties, in an Instagram Story clip.

“They’re so cute,” she exclaimed. “I can’t wait till I wear these for my man when I give birth and I ain’t fat no more (sic)”.
