Millie Bobby Brown has signed up to play a bisexual con artist in an upcoming Netflix thriller.

The Stranger Things actress will star in an adaptation of author Tess Sharpe’s young adult novel The Girls I’ve Been, and will also produce the project alongside Jason Bateman, according to Deadline.

Leading lady Brown plays con artist Nora, who must use her manipulative ways to get herself, her secret girlfriend and ex-boyfriend out of a scary situation when they’re taken hostage at a bank by two robbers.

The Girls I’ve Been, described as twisty thriller, is set to be published by Penguin Random House early next year.

Bateman, who stars in the critically-acclaimed Netflix series Ozark, will produce with Brown under his Aggregate Films banner, along with Michael Costigan.

While a director or writer has yet to be confirmed for the project, the film is to be released on the streaming service next year.

Brown is currently waiting for the fourth season of Stranger Things to resume filming, as it was put on hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic.

And her upcoming movie Enola Holmes, which sees her play Sherlock Holmes’ intrepid younger sister alongside Henry Cavill as the super sleuth and Sam Claflin as Mycroft Holmes, will debut on Netflix in September.

According to Collider, the 16-year-old is also developing drama A Time Lost for the streaming giant with her sister Paige Brown.

Millie Bobby Brown has co-designed a new range of jewellery for Pandora.

The Stranger Things actress signed a two-year contract with the Danish jewellery company in August last year to become the face and brand ambassador for its new Pandora Me range, and she has now taken her partnership to another level by co-designing pieces in the latest collection.

The 16-year-old has helped design four dangle charms – a starfish, pineapple, ocean wave, and flamingo – as well as a single sea turtle stud earring. The charms are hand-finished in sterling silver with colourful cubic zirconia and can be added to bracelets, safety pin brooches, and a new Pandora Me necklace, while the earrings are sold as single studs to allow “for dynamic styling and self-expression”.

“All of the symbols I chose are my absolute favourite parts of summer and each charm holds a fun memory or meaning to me,” the teen star said of the collaboration in a statement. “To be a Pandora Me ambassador means the world. From a very young age, I’ve always been a very big fan of Pandora, so it’s a dream come true to continue to work with a brand that’s all about self-expression through style.”

The British actress worked closely with Pandora designers and VP Creative Directors Francesco Terzo and A. Filippo Ficarelli to turn her mood board, which detailed her summer vision, to life.

“Millie Bobby Brown has great energy; she is very spontaneous and has a clear point of view. She is a passionate young woman who loves to tell stories and has no fear of self-discovery. She perfectly represents all that Pandora Me is about,” they added.

Brown’s designs are limited edition and are only available for six months, from Wednesday until December.

Netflix is facing a lawsuit from the estate of author Arthur Conan Doyle over their upcoming Enola Holmes movie, starring Millie Bobby Brown.

The Stranger Things actress plays the eponymous little sister of Sherlock Holmes in the flick, which is based on Nancy Springer’s Enola Holmes Mysteries book series, which were published from 2006 to 2010.

The star-studded movie, which features Henry Cavill as the iconic literary sleuth and Sam Claflin as Mycroft Holmes, follows a 16-year-old Enola as she heads to London to investigate the disappearance of her mother Eudoria Holmes, played by Helena Bonham Carter.

Representatives for Sherlock Holmes author Doyle claim that while the majority of his mystery tales are considered to be in the public domain, his last few stories about the famously stoic character, published between 1923 and 1927, are not – and those are the ones to feature details about Sherlock’s emotions, which have allegedly been included in Springer’s novels.

In their suit, filed in a New Mexico court on Tuesday, they explain, “(The) copyright infringement arises from defendants unauthorized copying of original creative expression by (Doyle) in copyrighted Sherlock Holmes stories (sic).”

They have listed bosses at Netflix and producers at Legendary Pictures as defendants, alongside Springer, screenwriter Jack Thorne, director Harry Bradbeer, and publishers at Penguin Random House, among others.

According to Deadline, estate executives are seeking a jury trial and unspecified damages and relief from further infringement on copyrights.

It’s not yet known if the lawsuit will delay plans for the release of Enola Holmes.

Millie Bobby Brown has shared her self-isolation skincare regime with her fans.

The Stranger Things star shared a video on Instagram TV and explained what her self-care routine is like now she’s at home and social distancing amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Millie answered a series of beauty questions from fans alongside her sister-in-law Rachel as the pair had a pampering session in their pyjamas.

When asked what her favourite product was from her hugely successful debut skincare collection, Florence by Mills, the 16-year-old picked her Look Alive Eye Balm.

“For every day purposes… my favourite Florence product would be the Look Alive Eye Balm, or the 16 Wishes glosses,” Millie shared, referencing the trio of lip glosses that was part of a capsule collection released in January, ahead of her 16th birthday in February.

She also claimed that the limited-edition Love Liv eyeshadow palette was one of her top products, which was created in memory of her friend who passed away after a battle with cancer, because it “means a lot to her.”

The Godzilla: King of the Monsters star also teased new Florence by Mills products and said she’s always looking to adapt to the ever-changing beauty industry.

“Make-up and skincare are constantly evolving, and I’ve always wanted to make sure Florence is moving with the times and staying present in my age and not just taking in one category of skincare and make-up,” she explained.

During the video, Millie applied the soothing Florence by Mills 16 Wishes Better Together Peel-Off Mask to “reset” her skin and later used the Dreamy Dew Moisturiser, the Glow Yeah Lip Oil, and finished off with her Zero Chill Face Mist.

Jennifer Aniston pulled out all of the stops at the 2020 Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards on Sunday night.

The 50-year-old, who won the prize for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series for her role in The Morning Show, stood out in a vintage white silk dress designed by John Galliano back when he was creative director of Christian Dior between 1996 and 2011.

Speaking about her outfit during an interview with Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet, Jennifer explained that she actually owns the gown.

“This is John Galliano for Christian Dior, this is a vintage dress that I sort of gave to myself as a present,” she said. “This is an investment. These are designers that are working for particular houses – I only have a couple.”

Jennifer completed her ensemble with jewellery from Fred Leighton.

But she wasn’t the only star to opt for white at the SAG Awards – Riverdale star Lili Reinhart looked elegant in a two-tone Miu Miu ballgown, The Handmaid’s Tale actress Yvonne Strahovski rocked a simple white gown from Khyeli and Christian Louboutin heels, while Millie Bobby Brown sported a Louis Vuitton outfit.

Other celebrities to make the best-dressed list included Zoe Kravitz, who matched her peach Oscar de la Renta column gown with white gloves and Tiffany & Co. bling, Cynthia Erivo, who stunned in a fuchsia and orange number from Schiaparelli, and Lupita Nyong’o, who dazzled in a strapless Louis Vuitton gown with silver sequin design.

Elsewhere, Renee Zellweger, who collected the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for her film Judy, rocked a midnight blue dress from Maison Margiela with Jimmy Choo stilettos, and Scarlett Johansson made a splash in a teal blue Armani dress with plunging neckline.

Millie Bobby Brown has won an award from officials at People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) for her vegan-friendly beauty line.

The Stranger Things actress unveiled her Florence by Mills collection earlier this year, with the range of skincare and make-up products aimed at teenagers and young people.

All products, including the Zero Chill Face Mist, Swimming Under the Eye Gel Pads, and Like a Light Skin Tint, are cruelty-free and Vegan Action certified, and now, Millie has been awarded one of PETA’s Libby Awards in recognition of her advocacy of animal rights.

“Brown’s skincare and make-up line, Florence by Mills – whose products contain no animal ingredients and are never tested on animals – earned her the award for Best Side Hustle for Animals,” a PETA representative commented.

In addition, singer Billie Eilish was presented with the Best Voice for Animals award for her promotion of a vegan lifestyle and for posting about instances of animal cruelty on her Instagram page, and Fuller House actor Juan Pablo Di Pace was named as the Brightest Onscreen Star for Animals after he starred in a PETA campaign urging people to avoid circus performances involving animals.

“Billie Eilish, Millie Bobby Brown, and Juan Pablo Di Pace are showing the world how easy it is to help animals by making kind choices in what we eat, what we wear, and how we entertain ourselves,” added PETA senior director of youth programmes, Marta Holmberg. “PETA is recognising them for using their star power to make the world a better place for all species.”

Other 2019 nominees included vegan musicians A$AP Rocky and sisters Chloe and Halle Bailey, as well as Hollywood stars Ruby Rose, Kat Graham, and Harley Quinn Smith.

Millie Bobby Brown has apologised for pretending to apply her new skincare products in a beauty routine video.

The Stranger Things star recently shared a video of herself on Instagram showing off her new teen skincare line, Florence by Mills, but the footage stirred up controversy immediately, as it appeared she wasn’t using any of the formulas.

Followers noticed that her make-up stayed perfect throughout the clip despite her telling viewers, “So I’m just applying now,” while rubbing her face and, “O.K. so I just wiped that off.”

Now, the 15-year-old has issued a statement on the invisible beauty routine, explaining she is a novice who didn’t intend to send such a mixed message.

“I’m still learning the best way to share my routines as I get to know this space better – I’m not an expert,” Millie posted to her Instagram account on Thursday. “I thought doing a quick video replicating my personal process for that night was O.K. but that’s not what was conveyed. I understand, I appreciate all of your feedback on this journey, please keep sharing your thoughts and I will too!”

It’s not the first time Millie has had to defend herself over her new skincare and beauty range, as she recently had to explain why she had included an eye cream – aimed at teenagers – in the Florence by Mills line.

Criticism over her Swimming Under the Eyes Gel Pads and the Look Alive Eye Balm prompted the actress to speak up to reveal that she had personally insisted that the products, traditionally designed for older women, were created for her debut collection.

“Eye balm has been kind of objectified for older people to take away the wrinkles,” she told Allure. “For me, I wanted to do a youthful one to brighten up your face and use it to take away dark circles if you’re studying late at night or you’ve got to go to school early in the morning.”

Millie Bobby Brown is to co-produce a movie titled A Time Lost for Netflix.

The actress, who shot to fame playing supernatural Eleven on the streaming service’s hit show Stranger Things, and her sister Paige Brown have confirmed they are working with bosses at the company on the original drama.

Millie and Paige have developed the original story, with Anna Klassen attached to adapt. The plot will explore a long-standing feud between two Long Island families which comes to a head when one of their teenage daughters is diagnosed with cancer.

“We are so grateful to Netflix for their confidence in us and this beautiful story, which we have spent years writing and developing,” the sisters commented in a joint statement. “It’s about friendship, family and overcoming obstacles when it feels like the world is pushing you down. It’s been a labour of love, literally.”

Millie is to serve as a producer, while Paige and their father Robert Brown will executive produce under the family’s PCMA Productions company. The 15-year-old is also co-producing her upcoming detective movie Enola Holmes with her sibling, among others, under the banner.

Regarding A Time Lost, Netflix’s Lisa Nishimura, vice president of independent film and documentary features, praised Millie’s ideas for the project.

“Millie is an extraordinary creative talent. We’ve been lucky to have her in our family from the beginning of her career. It is a genuine thrill to witness Millie bring her distinct vision to the screen, now as a writer and producer, alongside her sister on this wonderful film,” she added.

Casting details and a potential release date have not yet been announced.

Millie Bobby Brown has defended creating an eye cream for teenagers in her new beauty collection.

The Stranger Things star launched her clean make-up and skincare line, Florence by Mills, which features beauty staples such as the Zero Chill Face Mist, Cheek Me Later Cream Blush, and Dreamy Dew Moisturizer, late last month.

However, it was the addition of the Swimming Under the Eyes Gel Pads and the Look Alive Eye Balm that has prompted Millie to speak up and explain why she included products that have been traditionally aimed at older women.

“Eye balm has been kind of objectified for older people to take away the wrinkles,” she told Allure. “For me, I wanted to do a youthful one to brighten up your face and use it to take away dark circles if you’re studying late at night or you’ve got to go to school early in the morning.”

The eye balm and eye gel pads have sold out on florencebymills.com since dropping on 26 August, along with most of her debut beauty collection.

And throughout the creative process, it was the whale-shaped Swimming Under the Eye Gel Pads that the 15-year-old was adamant had to be included, because she suffers “from puffy eyes in the morning”.

The Look Alive Eye Balm features a formula spiked with caffeine, a peptide blend, and cucumber extract.

“I wasn’t like, ‘I definitely need a peptide blend.’ I had no idea. I just knew I wanted botanicals, vitamins, and flower extracts involved,” Millie shared, before revealing that calming ingredients like lavender, rose, and cucumber were on her mood board during the creative process for Florence by Mills.
