Jennifer Lopez pulled out all of the stops for the 2020 Golden Globes on Sunday night.
The superstar, who was nominated for the Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture category for her role in Hustlers, turned up to The Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills, California rocking a custom-made white silk Valentino gown with dramatic gold and green bow detailing on the bodice.
Jennifer topped off her look with Harry Winston jewellery, a Judith Leiber bag, and had her brunette locks swept back into a plaited bun – with the hairstyle reminiscent of the look she wore in a key scene in her 2002 film Maid in Manhattan.
The actress, who lost out to Laura Dern for her performance in Marriage Story, was styled by Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn, and accompanied by her sportsman fiance Alex Rodriguez on the red carpet. Alex sported a tuxedo for the night, and in a post on Instagram, joked that he looked like the 50-year-old entertainer’s security guard.
“Head of @jlo security, reporting for red carpet duty! @goldenglobes,” he wrote.
Apart from Jennifer’s eye-catching ballgown, a major trend for the night was the colour pink.
Priyanka Chopra, who served as a presenter, opted for a stunning pastel pink off-the-shoulder Cristina Ottaviano dress with delicate drapery. She completed the ensemble with Christian Louboutin shoes and Bulgari bling.
Meanwhile, Tiffany Haddish stood out in a pink Galia Lahav dress, Isla Fisher made a statement in a fuchsia Monique Lhuillier gown, and Adam Driver’s wife Joanne Tucker sported a hot pink silk outfit with high neck and oversized sleeves.

Jameela Jamil has been praised by fans for wearing jeans under her dress at the 2019 Golden Globes.
The British actress stepped out at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on Sunday night (06Jan19) for the awards bash, where her TV show The Good Place, in which she plays Tahani Al-Jamil, was nominated for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy.
Jameela looked gorgeous in a coral-coloured Monique Lhuillier ballgown with matching earrings from Ricardo Basta Fine Jewelry, but shortly before she hit the red carpet, she took to Twitter to post a video of the denim she was sporting underneath.
“An experienced woman wears jeans under her Golden Globes gown because it’s forking COLD,” she captioned the clip, which showed her giving fans a glimpse of her blue skinny jeans.
While on her Instagram Stories she shared a similar video and added: “Wearing jeans under my gown because I refuse to be cold for fashion.” She added in a chat with USA Today: “I don’t believe in suffering for fashion. It’s going to be cold later tonight and we’re going to be out all night until the early hours. I would like to be comfortable.”
Accordingly, a number of Jameela’s online fans were impressed by her clever fashion trick.
“Just when I thought I couldn’t love you any forking more,” one user wrote, while another commented, “Jeans are so formal. I’d be doing cozy fleece with an elastic waistband!!
And a third added: “I’ve worn thermals under a tux before. No judgement here.”
In addition to her ensemble, Jameela carried a black clutch purse with Time’s Up ribbon attached as means of showing her support for the movement founded by Hollywood celebrities as means of fighting against sexual harassment.
“Celebrating @timesupnow effort to double the amount of women and minorities at the helm of Hollywood and the height of all women industries,” the 32-year-old wrote alongside a snap of her purse on her Instagram Stories.

Actress, model, and singer Nazanin Mandi drew inspiration from Hollywood icons while planning the perfect look for her wedding to R&B star Miguel.
The brunette beauty wed her longtime beau at the Hummingbird Nest Ranch in Los Angeles on Saturday (24Nov18) and was determined to dress for the big day based on her own style preferences.
“I tried to keep things very authentic and true to myself,” she tells Vogue. “It’s not about becoming another person on your wedding day.”
Yet she was also influenced by her love of the fashion choices of classic stars like Marilyn Monroe, Sophia Loren, and Brigitte Bardot.
“Hollywood starlets were my only references,” she shares. “I just love a classic look.”
The 32 year old opted for a stunning Monique Lhuillier gown that was “traditional but with an edge” and chose to wear her hair in a blowout. She relied on Oribe styling cream, R&Co dry shampoo, and Color Wow thickening spray to create the perfect glow while walking down the aisle. For the reception, she wore a custom Cushnie et Ochs white gown.
Leading up to the event, Mandi told the publication she wasn’t taking drastic measures when it came to her exercise regime, and was instead simply keeping up with the activities she enjoyed, along with the help of her trainer Torri Shack.
“I’m not trying to lose weight, I just want to maintain what I have,” she noted, sharing she committed to working out six days a week by hiking and lifting weights.
And although Nazanin wanted to ensure she looked flawless on the big day, the most important aspect of her wedding was celebrating how far she has come in her relationship.
She gushes, “Miguel and I have been together for 13 years – we worked really hard to get to this place.”

Amy Schumer only tried on one wedding dress in the lead-up to her nuptials.
The Trainwreck actress stunned fans when she confirmed on Thursday (15Feb18) that she had wed chef Chris Fischer in a ceremony held in Malibu, California earlier in the week.
Amy has since uploaded numerous photos of the event to her Instagram page, including snaps showing her posing in a white gown, with her stylist Leesa Evans now divulging that the star left her dress shopping to the very last minute.
“I woke up one morning last week and she said, ‘Chris and I are gonna get married on Tuesday. Call me when you wake up,'” she recalled to Entertainment Tonight of Amy’s request. “So, I called her when I woke up and was overjoyed. I said, ‘Well, I’ll round up some dresses,’ and she was like, ‘O.K., I’ll come over to your office later today.'”
Leesa pulled together a range of dresses for Amy to try on at her office, with the star bringing along her beau and some friends to help her choose.
But the 36-year-old star was instantly enamoured by the A-line dress with tulle skirt and spaghetti straps from Monique Lhuillier.
“She only tried on one dress. We both just felt it was so effortless,” the style expert explained. “I think the thing that Amy loved about it was that she didn’t have to wear any extra pieces with it. It was just so simple, easy and comfortable, and she didn’t wear heels. She just wore flats and she just felt so much like herself, you know?”
Leesa also shared that there were no formal invitations sent for the bash, and while the whole occasion was a whirlwind, she is thrilled Amy and Chris decided to tie the knot as they are “incredibly in love”.
Make-up artist Georgie Eisdell was in charge of Amy’s beauty look for the event, while hairstylist Riawna Capri did her hair.
