Khalid has landed a global partnership with Reebok.
The Grammy Award-nominated singer-songwriter is teaming with bosses at the sportswear giant on the Sport the Unexpected campaign, set to be released in the spring.
Regarding the collaboration, Khalid explained that he has always been a fan of the label and appreciates the way the design team offer clothing and footwear with a “fresh twist”.
“I’m amped to partner with Reebok,” he said. “I love how they mix old and new and honour the classics with fresh twists. I hope we can inspire a new generation of people to be themselves and take creative chances.”
In a teaser image from his debut campaign, Khalid is seen posing in jeans, a white jacket, and white Reebok sneakers while standing next to a vintage car. Another shot sees him playing with his dog Maui, who is decked out in a specially designed tracksuit.
And Matt Blonder, vice president of marketing and digital brand commerce, is thrilled to welcome the 21-year-old into the Reebok fold.
“Khalid continues to be a beacon of originality, pride and imagination for today’s rising youth,” the executive praised. “Through his unique sound and a personal journey that took him across the country, Khalid authentically symbolises our common ethos – to inspire creativity and encourage experimentation. We’re privileged to welcome him to our family.”
Khalid follows in the footsteps of current Reebok brand ambassadors such as Nathalie Emmanuel, Gigi Hadid, Gal Gadot, Future, Cardi B, Danai Gurira, and Conor McGregor.

Cardi B has joined the cast of Fast & Furious 9.
Vin Diesel, who produces and stars as Dominic Toretto in the franchise, revealed on Tuesday that the Bodak Yellow star would be appearing in the long-running action franchise by posting a video on Instagram which showed him and Cardi on the U.K. set of the film.
“Day 86 here on the set of Fast 9. I know I’m exhausted, we all gave every single thing we could for this movie, put it all on the table, put it all out there,” he told viewers, before Cardi added, “I’m tired – but I can’t wait. I ain’t gonna front, this is gonna be the best one.”
“We’re so blessed. The last day of filming in the U.K. All love always,” Vin continued. They both started laughing when the 27-year-old joked that she needed to take a nap and the video concluded with them repeating the film’s release date “May 2020”.
Fast & Furious star Jordana Brewster appeared to approve of the casting, as she wrote in the caption, “Yaaaaaasssssssssssssssss (sic),” with the raising hands emoji, and Meadow Walker, the daughter of late Fast actor Paul Walker, also gave her seal of approval.
It’s not known what role Cardi will be playing in the movie, which marks her second time acting in a film following Hustlers earlier this year.
In October, the rap star had teased that she had another acting job in the pipeline on The Ellen DeGeneres Show by saying, “Yup. I am going to film for a movie this month.”
Cardi B’s casting comes just a day after Vin revealed Latin popstar Ozuna had bagged a role in the film. They will join Fast & Furious regulars Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, and Nathalie Emmanuel as well as returning stars Helen Mirren and Charlize Theron and fellow franchise newcomers John Cena and Michael Rooker.

Latin music star Ozuna has landed a role in Fast & Furious 9.
Vin Diesel, who produces and stars as Dominic Toretto in the franchise, announced the Latin trap and reggaeton singer, full name Juan Carlos Ozuna Rosado, had joined the long-running franchise by sharing a snap of himself with Ozuna and director Justin Lin on Instagram on Monday.
“As you know, we have often found great talent in the music industry to cross over into film,” he wrote in the caption. “They are expected to leave all the accolades at the door to embrace the character with integrity… and that is exactly what Ozuna has done. Very proud of your work and role in Fast 9! Pa Mi Gente (For my people)! All Love, Always…#Fast92020 #YoungSantos #Ozuna #Fatherhood.”
The hashtags also revealed that Ozuna will either play the younger version or the son of Don Omar’s character Santos, who had a big role in Fast Five and a small appearance in 2017’s The Fate of the Furious. He is a supporting character who aligns himself with Dominic’s crew.
The Puerto Rican star, who recently won two 2019 Latin American Music Awards, is also in talks to be part of the film’s soundtrack.
The casting marks his third appearance in a film following 2018 romantic comedy Que Leon and its upcoming sequel Los Leones, which is set for release in November, the same month his third album Nibiru drops.
Fast & Furious regulars Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster, and Nathalie Emmanuel are returning for the ninth instalment, Helen Mirren and Charlize Theron are reprising their roles, while John Cena and Michael Rooker are new additions.
Dan Casey wrote the screenplay from a story by Lin and Alfredo Botello. The film is set to hit cinemas in May 2020.

Nathalie Emmanuel and Georgia May Jagger are fronting jewellery brand Pandora’s new campaign.
The Game of Thrones actress and the fashion model have been tapped to appear in the Danish company’s new Pandora Muses marketing imagery, which looks to celebrate self-expression and diversity.
Individual portraits depict each star posing for the camera while showing off delicate pieces from Pandora’s upcoming ranges, with the duo also seen in a group shot with fellow Pandora Muses, including dancer/actress Larsen Thompson, artist Tasya van Ree, influencer Margaret Zhang, and model Halima Aden.
“Our Pandora Muses represent the duality and diversity within and between every woman, as well as the values Pandora stands for: they’re diverse, approachable, inclusive, expressive, stylish, socially and environmentally responsible and, above all else, true to themselves,” said Vita Clausen, Pandora’s global PR director. “We’re extremely proud to work with this community building a tribe of inspirational women.”
In addition to the campaign, each of the women takes centre stage in a series of videos, in which they share stories, offer candid testimonials, and promote the places that have special significance to Pandora.
Regarding the collaboration, Larsen explained that she was thrilled to be working with women who she finds to be genuinely inspiring.
“Partnering with Pandora meant exploring a bolder side to myself and telling my story and doing so, alongside a diversely talented group of women that I’m honoured to call my muses,” the 18-year-old added.

Actress Nathalie Emmanuel has been named as the latest brand ambassador for Reebok’s new star-studded female empowerment campaign.
The Game of Thrones and Furious 7 star has joined the likes of Ariana Grande, Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot and model Gigi Hadid for a series of new ads, which are set to debut later this year (18), and she couldn’t be more thrilled about her involvement with the sportswear brand’s message for ladies.
“I am driven by the idea that all women are not defined by a single trait,” she tells Women’s Wear Daily. “We are individuals with strengths, talents and beliefs that define us and shape who we are as humans.
“This new partnership with Reebok is founded upon shared passion and synergy with individuality. Together, we are passionate about an agenda that spotlights the individual abilities of women and propels their stories forward.”
Fast and Furious franchise star Nathalie was the perfect fit for the campaign, according to Todd Krinsky, the general manager of Reebok Performance, who has praised the actress for her feminist and civil rights activism.
“She (Emmanuel) is a hugely important addition to our powerful female coalition of inspirational journeys, passions, beliefs and inspirations,” he says. “We have a combined focus with Nathalie, and all of our collaborators, to motivate and mobilize women across the world to find their balance between physical, mental and social health to achieve their full potential.”
The British actress will begin appearing in promotional ads on the Reebok website from Thursday (10May18), wearing items from the firm’s training collections, including pieces like a mesh bomber jacket, bra, high-waisted leggings and high-top sneakers.
