Dua Lipa has unveiled a new pastel pink hair colour.
The New Rules hitmaker is currently living with her boyfriend Anwar Hadid in London, with the pair staying in a rented Airbnb and practicing social distancing amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
Dua took to Instagram on Thursday to share that she had decided to use her free time to dye her platinum blonde locks at the front of her head a pale pink shade.
“Quarantine diaries – this week’s experiment… pink hair. That’s kind of it really…” she wrote alongside a series of selfies and snapshots, including one image that showed Anwar applying the dye to her naturally brunette strands.
Dua didn’t detail whether the pink colour is a temporary or permanent dye.
But she isn’t the only celebrity to switch-up their usual hair colour during the coronavirus lockdown. A number of stars have displayed their transformations on Instagram lately, with Hilary Duff trying out a bold blue shade, Elle Fanning opting for a pretty pastel pink look, and Taraji P. Henson rocking a dark red hue.
Elsewhere in her post, Dua revealed that she has been spending her free time playing World of Warcraft, participating in virtual workouts, and speaking to reporters over the phone about her latest album Future Nostalgia, which was released in March.
“I haven’t acquired a new skill but I have joined world of warcraft and I have two pets on it called mintsaws and little sheena (one’s a dragonhawk and one’s a tiger). I’ve attempted a few morning facetime workouts with my friends and because ive still been doing bits of promo from home – a massive shout out is due to all the journalists who have been so patient with me while im on my quest to becoming a true tech wiz (sic),” the 24-year-old added.

Dua Lipa has lived out her high-fashion dreams in a quirky new video for Vogue.
The New Rules hitmaker showcases the hottest looks from the New York Fashion Week runway in the clip, including extravagant pieces from Marc Jacobs, Tom Ford, Oscar de la Renta, and Michael Kors.
“Dua’s World @voguemagazine Fall 2020 hot off the nyc runway 90s Sitcom Video of my dreamzzzzz,” Lipa wrote on Instagram alongside a snippet of the offbeat video. “Loved this whole whirlwind day with the sweeeetest team on the planet… watch in full on youtube or via the link in my story (sic).”
In the video, the 24-year-old prances around an expensive apartment filled with chintz furniture and over-the-top flowery wallpaper, while trying on a series of outfits.
Lipa is first seen wearing a bright yellow ensemble from Eckhaus Latta, along with a harlequin-print jacket by Oscar de la Renta, which she takes off and subsequently throws to her waiting butler.
She then makes dinner for German actress Jessica Joffe and rocks a fuchsia turtleneck and skirt by Tom Ford.
Elsewhere, the Physical hitmaker is seen squeezing down a narrow hallway while wearing an over-the-top Area blue satin dress, which features a heart-shaped waist. She proceeds to jokingly lose her temper, while looking chic in a cow-print Michael Kors jacket, and attempts to iron her huge emerald green Christopher John Rogers gown, which she then wears while struggling down the staircase.
Lipa’s penultimate look is comprised of a rose-red dress and heart-embellished opera gloves by Rodarte, before she concludes the footage by modelling an iridescent coral gown by Marc Jacobs.

Dua Lipa has been forced to get a fringe because her frequent bleaching has damaged her hair.
The Physical hitmaker debuted her new look in a series of photos and videos on her Instagram Stories and revealed that her cropped blonde fringe wasn’t her choice.
“PSA (public service announcement): This is not a haircut, it’s bleached breakages but I’m running with it,” the 24-year-old explained, noting that she had bleached her hair so much, it started to break off.
Dua was later spotted out and about in New York City, hiding her bangs from paparazzi, and posted snaps from the incident on Instagram, showing her putting her quilted Chanel bag in front of her face as she crossed the street.
“Please don’t talk to me while mercury is in retrograde,” she jokingly captioned the snaps.
The New Rules singer, who has rocked her two-tone blonde and black hairstyle since October last year, also teased her new album as she debuted her new look. “A new era! Thank you for your patience. See you soon #DL2,” Dua wrote at the time.
Her hairstylist Nicola Clarke was the mastermind behind the unique hair colour, and told W magazine last year that it is “a trend that can be made as extreme or subtle as you want and still have impact.”
The Grammy-winning singer is currently gearing up for the release of her new album Future Nostalgia, which drops 3 April, and the star will kick off her European tour on 26 April in Madrid, Spain.

Dua Lipa makes sure she selects outfits that won’t come out of her suitcase “super-creased”.
The New Rules singer, who is the face of YSL Beauty’s Libre fragrance, is always travelling the globe as part of her busy work schedule, and because she regularly lives out of a suitcase, she makes sure to buy clothes which don’t need to be ironed before she wears them.
“I like to play around with different styles,” Dua told Stylist magazine about her wardrobe. “If I like it, I’ll wear it. Fashion should be accessible. For me, that’s about experimenting and finding things that aren’t going to be super-creased, because I live out of my suitcase.”
When the reporter added that it’s a dream when something doesn’t need ironing, the 24-year-old replied, “That never f**king happens to me. It’s like things crease on purpose and I’m always like, ‘What the f**k?'”
In the interview, Dua also described her top beauty products, citing Glossier’s Birthday Balm Dotcom and YSL’s mascara as her favourites, and shared her skincare routine.
“I wash my make-up off every night with a rosehip cleansing oil by Pai, then use a cream cleanser and apply a probiotic serum and face cream by Esse,” the star revealed. “In the mornings, I use the cream cleanser again followed by a niacinamide serum from a dermatological brand called Synergy, then moisturiser and SPF.”
She added that she never used to use sunscreen on a daily basis but she’s trying to be better at protecting her skin.
“I used to use it but never every day. I get the importance of it when I’m in the sun, but now I’m trying to take care of my skin, so I wear it all the time,” she commented.

Dua Lipa has been tapped as Yves Saint Laurent Beaute’s latest brand ambassador.
The British singer-songwriter is no stranger to modelling, having previously joined forces with Adidas, Foot Locker, and Pepe Jeans.
Now, Dua is gearing up to make a splash in the beauty world after she was named the new face of the L’Oreal-owned cosmetics company and the star of the marketing imagery for an upcoming fragrance launch.
“The hardest secret to keep! So proud and excited to finally tell you all that I am the face of the new feminine fragrance by YSL. Thank you to the incredible @yslbeauty team for making me feel so at home,” she wrote on Twitter on Tuesday. “(And) for allowing me to play a small role in helping choose the final scent and for making my dreams come true on working with a brand I love so much.”
Dua also shared a snap from the campaign, which was shot by filmmaker Nabil Elderkin, with the photo showing her posing in a sharp black suit with a beautiful sunset in the background.
Little is known about the perfume the New Rules hitmaker is to promote, apart from that it will be released later in the year.
Regarding Dua’s appointment, a Yves Saint Laurent Beaute spokesperson described her as the “voice of her generation”.
“Dua Lipa embodies the values of independence and freedom, which have always been part of Yves Saint Laurent’s DNA,” said Stephan Bezy, international general manager of Yves Saint Laurent Beaute. “It is a great honour to collaborate with such a young and talented artist for our new feminine fragrance.”
The 23-year-old follows in the footsteps of Cara Delevingne and Jessica Chastain in headlining a fragrance campaign for the French luxury brand.

Dua Lipa is bringing her style to the masses with a collection she co-created with hot new brand /Nyden.
Dua has fast become one of the most exciting names in music, and as well as her catchy pop tracks, like New Rules, the 22-year-old is often lauded for her fashion sense.
Channelling a ’90s cool girl vibe in her onstage outfits, Dua is now giving fans the chance to emulate her style.
“My first love is music, but fashion also plays an important role in my life because I believe it’s so vital to self-expression,” the singer said in a statement. “I look for clothes that reflect strength and fearlessness, but also match up to today’s fast pace. So I’m excited to be co-creating with /Nyden on my designs – it’s going to be a collection that’s completely suited to me, both onstage and off, and for my fans.”
“What I really liked about working together and collaborating with /Nyden is the fact that they allowed me total creative leeway to create things that I wanted; to make something that I would want to wear, things that I think my fans would really like,” she added to British Vogue. “I just loved that creative freedom.”
Millennial targeted brand /Nyden, owned by H&M, dropped its first line in April (18). The name comes from Swedish words, “ny” and “den,” meaning “new” and “it”, with the slash symbolising the label’s co-creation ethos.
Other stars who have already been announced as co-creators include Swedish actress Noomi Rapace, tattoo artist Doctor Woo and footballer Jerome Boateng.
“Dua is one of the most renowned pop artists in the world today. Her strong and fierce attitude, not to mention distinctive style, make her a perfect fit for the /Nyden tribe and philosophy,” said /Nyden creative director Stina Force. “Dua’s inspiring outlook and style is why we have chosen to work with her and co-create multiple collections.”
Dua will be co-creating four drops in total, with the first one slated to drop in the fall.
