Heidi Klum has encouraged her fans to participate in a “strutting” challenge while practicing social distancing amid the coronavirus crisis.

Following the launch of her new Amazon Prime Video reality TV series, Making the Cut, last week, the German supermodel and TV personality took to Instagram to share a video of her doing her best runway walk while wearing a red tracksuit and black thigh-high boots in her living room.

“While we’re all at home, I’d love to do this challenge with you guys. Please show off your best home couture and use the hashtag #StrutForTheCut,” she commented, before referring to her dog Anton. “Anton and I can’t wait to see what you will be wearing… and sending all of you lots of love!”

In the accompanying caption, Heidi asked her seven million followers to show off their “social distancing home couture”.

“Whatever you want to wear – whether that means your favourite flannels, going all out glamorous sexy and chic, or pairing your sweats with thigh-high boots (as I did). Now I want to see you strut! I will repost my favourites,” the 46-year-old noted.

Meanwhile, Heidi also announced that the team behind Making the Cut will be donating approximately $600,000 (£483,000) to the World Health Organization (WHO) in aid of hospitals and health workers around the globe fighting the Covid-19 pandemic.

Following their exit from Project Runway in 2018, Heidi and co-host Tim Gunn unveiled the fashion competition show Making the Cut on 27 March.

Judges include Naomi Campbell, Nicole Richie, Carine Roitfeld, Joseph Altuzarra, and Chiara Ferragni.

Paris Hilton has never been tempted to undergo cosmetic surgery.

The socialite-turned-businesswoman is proud of her all-natural appearance and credits advice from her mother Kathy Hilton for helping her to maintain her youthful looks.

When asked how old she feels in an interview with U.K. Cosmopolitan magazine, she replied, “21 forever… And I’m all-natural. I feel so lucky that my mum always told me to stay out of the sun. I feel lucky I haven’t had to resort to what most people do in this town (Los Angeles).”

Although the 39-year-old doesn’t think too much about ageing, she told the outlet that she wants to find a way to live forever.

“I’m trying to figure out a way – freezing myself or inventing the fountain-of-youth pill – so people could live forever, like that movie Death Becomes Her,” the reality star shared, referencing the 1992 movie featuring Goldie Hawn and Meryl Streep as women who become immortal when they drink a miracle cure which prevents ageing.

Elsewhere in the interview, Paris insisted she helped make “Juicy Couture, Dior and Louis Vuitton monograms, camouflage print, (and) Swarovski crystals” trendy, and said she is always thrilled to see others wearing replicas of the silver chainmail Julien Macdonald dress she wore for her 21st birthday.

“I love seeing that look. I think every girl should wear that on their birthday. I think it’s the birthday dress now. I love seeing it come to life again on different people. My sister once wore it for Halloween,” she commented, adding that her and The Simple Life co-star Nicole Richie always get a kick of seeing people wear Halloween costumes inspired by their 2000s reality show. “We laugh about it. All the costumes last Halloween were people dressing up as us, so we were sending each other photos of different outfits people were wearing.”

Nicole Richie has spent the past five years learning to embrace her naturally curly hair.

In the past, the TV personality and fashion designer has been quite the chameleon when it comes to her locks, trying a variety of hairstyles and a range of bold shades, including lilac and platinum blonde.

However, in a new interview with Good Morning America, Nicole recalled how one day she woke up and decided it was time to give her strands a break.

“I had dyed my hair a bunch of colours, and it was great and so much fun, but then it all fell out. I had to cut all my hair off and then I had to really be serious about growing it out. So, I had to do absolutely nothing to it,” she told the outlet. “So, in the process, I had to let my hair go curly. But this moment was really important to me because I would say in the past five years, being forced to not doing anything to my hair, really forced me to take a look at how much I was not embracing my curls and how much of that side of myself I really didn’t like without knowing it.”

Nicole went on to urge other people to consider ditching bleach and heated styling tools too.

“That was a really big moment for me because I was, like, ‘Wait, I like my hair,'” the 37-year-old insisted. “You’ve got to embrace the coils… you’ve got to do it!”

Elsewhere in the chat, Nicole spoke about her new collaboration with doll company Capsule Chix. The Great News star has dialled into her own unique sense of style to create 13 custom looks for the toys.

“You’re no longer having somebody say, ‘This is a doll, this is what you should look like, this is what you should aim to be,'” she shared of the partnership. “It’s really giving whoever’s playing with it the authority to decide what they think is beautiful.”

Sofia Richie is looking to make a splash in the fashion world with her own line.

The model and influencer, who is the youngest daughter of music icon Lionel Richie and his ex-wife Diane Alexander, has steadily been pursuing her own career and landed campaigns for brands including Tommy Hilfiger, Michael Kors, and Chanel.

Now, Sofia has announced that she is making her own clothing collection, to be named Sofia Stone.

“I finally feel like I’m at the point in my life where I have so many creative ideas that I want to share and I’m bottled up,” she said in an interview with WWD. “Over the years, buying so many clothes and seeing what I liked and didn’t like and being in the modelling industry, I was around so many designers and I always took notes and tips from them. It came easily and I knew all the little things I wanted and didn’t want.”

To create the line, Sofia has partnered with LA Collective – the company founded by Jaynee and Karl Singer in 2015 with the aim of building brands for individuals across the fashion and lifestyle arenas. LA Collective also oversees model Alexis Ren’s activewear label Ren Active, Los Angeles-inspired sportswear brand Vita LA, and reality TV star Morgan Stewart’s clothing line TLA by Morgan Stewart.

A teaser image of one of Sofia’s designs depicts a model sporting a pair of wide-legged tailored trousers with a crop top, with the 11 other items in the range to include bodysuits and suits.

And while the 20-year-old, who is dating TV personality Scott Disick, comes from a stylish family, with her adoptive sister Nicole Richie having launched her House of Harlow 1960 in 2008, she credits her clothing designer mum Diane for inspiring her to pursue the idea.

“We all have very different styles in my family, but she definitely was the person that made me interested the most in fashion,” the starlet shared of her mother.

Pieces from the Sofia Stone line will be priced under $80 (£60) and are set to be available to buy in August (19).

Rachel Zoe is gearing up to make a return to reality TV with a new fashion competition series.

The designer and stylist, known for her boho-chic aesthetic and work with celebrities such as Nicole Richie, Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Garner, and Kate Hudson, starred in her own Bravo show, The Rachel Zoe Project, for five seasons between 2008 and 2013.

Now, Zoe has announced that she has teamed with TV producer Mark Burnett and executives at MGM Television on a fresh project, which aims to find undiscovered designers.

“This is the show I have always wanted to make,” she said in a statement. “The show will spotlight some of the most talented designers from around the world, and I am thrilled to be able to highlight their work. I have the utmost respect for Mark Burnett and the team at MGM – this is my dream partnership.”

The TV show, which is currently untitled, will bring together an array of design talent from around the world. Competing designers will have to work on original creations, with part of the format seeing the items put up for sale online after each episode has aired.

Sean Kelly and Steve Hughes of Shaggy Entertainment came up with the concept, and will serve as executive producers alongside Zoe, Burnett, and Barry Poznick.

Regarding the concept, Burnett, chairman of MGM’s Worldwide Television Group, commented that he was thrilled to be collaborating with Zoe.

“I love fashion and have wanted to do a show in this space for quite some time. We are thrilled to have Rachel Zoe on board for this epic global fashion showdown that will bring trendsetting designs to your doorstep. Rachel is the epitome of style and fashion,” he shared.

Zoe’s new show comes after Project Runway has undergone a shake-up for season 17, with Karlie Kloss taking over as host from Heidi Klum and Christian Siriano succeeding Tim Gunn as a mentor. Klum and Gunn are currently working on a new fashion competition programme for Amazon Video.

Nicole Richie is introducing swimwear to her House of Harlow 1960 x Revolve line.

The reality TV personality first launched her company in 2008 with a jewellery range, and has since gone on to expand into eyewear, accessories, footwear and apparel.

Nicole’s fashion collections are currently available to buy via the Revolve website, and she has now confirmed that she is gearing up to launch swimwear pieces.

“Swim is a strong category for Revolve definitely with the top three peak months, so it just made sense for the progression of the brand,” she told WWD of the concept. “We, last resort, came out with great footwear styles so this is more about completing that story.”

A teaser image for the swimwear collection shows a model posing in a brown two-piece with knotted detailing and a crossover strap.

Other key pieces are set to feature stripes and crochet, and will all align with Nicole’s own boho-chic aesthetic.

“It’s still very House of Harlow, really beautiful cover-ups to go with the swimwear so that it can transition into ready-to-wear,” the 37-year-old commented.

The first collection of 16 pieces will begin to drop on the Revolve site in January (19). Items will be priced from $68 to $198 (£54 – £157).

In addition to swimwear, Nicole is looking to add more categories to her business. And in an interview with Forbes in June, she explained that she was pleased to work with executives at online retailer Revolve, because that is where her target audience prefers to shop.

“This business has changed. The world has changed over the past 10 years, which is how long I’ve been in this,” the former The Simple Life star noted. “For me, this was a pretty simple decision because that’s where my customer is. You have to know where your customers are. And online is where they are.”

The go-to nail stylist for stars like Julia Roberts and Greta Gerwig has unveiled a brand new product collection.

Mazz Hanna, a nail art specialist who also counts Nicole Richie among her roster of clients, has become known for her Crystal Healing Manicure, which focuses on the mood of whoever she is styling – and now she’s taking her good vibes to the masses.

She tells Us Weekly magazine that manicure session begins with a chakra reading – the act of determining ones thoughts and feelings based on their mental, emotional, physical or spiritual state.

Hanna, who is also a crystal healer and aromatherapist, routinely includes a two-hour self-care session that includes the burning of sage in order to create a meditative space and free the mind. And she is looking to offer a similar feel of self-expression with her new products, The Mazz Hanna Beauty Collection.

The line features cuticle oil comprised of jojoba and hemp seed, the Magnifier Quartz-Infused CBD (Cannabidiol) Essential Oil Blend, containing CBD hemp extract that relaxes tight muscles, and the Alignment Elixir for Face and Aura, a hydrating aloe and lavender facial cleanser. Each product is available via the nail guru’s official website.

Roberts sported nail art by Hanna in September (18), when she appeared on the red carpet at the Toronto Film Festival in Canada to promote her new film, Ben is Back. Roberts’ midnight blue manicure received significant attention after the star defended the design in a social media exchange.

“Julia is wearing ugly black nail polish,” one user wrote on Instagram.

The actress responded: “In case you would like to edit your comment from ‘ugly black nail polish’ to ugly navy polish with garnet crystals. Just sayin.”

Saint Laurent has dished up a series of rocker-inspired outfits for its latest collection.

The French luxury fashion house, helmed by creative director Anthony Vaccarello, unveiled its spring/summer 2019 line outside the Eiffel Tower as part of Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday night (25Sep18), with celebrities such as Cindy Crawford, Kate Moss, Amber Valletta, Carla Bruni, Nicole Richie, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Salma Hayek and Lindsay Lohan all in attendance.

With a line of palm trees set up beside the water-covered runway, the show opened with a model sporting a black tuxedo, unbuttoned white shirt and snakeskin boots.

A number of androgynous ensembles followed, including a waistcoat and trouser combination and a white pinstripe blazer that was paired with a denim shirt and black leggings.

Vaccarello evoked a rocker chic vibe with the inclusion of denim shorts, black minidresses with plunging necklines, belted tunics, silk blouses and felt hats.

The collection was heavy on black and white garments too, though towards the middle of the presentation, the fashion star introduced some colour, such as a red velvet jacket, a strapless cobalt blue minidress with silver star appliques and floral print minidresses with plunging necklines and exaggerated shoulders.

Highlights of the line included a gold chainmail cape, a black sequin romper with frill detail and a black chiffon gown.

Kaia Gerber rocked the runway in a pearl white blazer, black shorts, round sunglasses and white platform heels, while other models sported body suits made out of leopard print or sequin fabric.

To conclude, Vaccarello presented a parade of elegant black looks, with the spectacle ending with a model wearing a black suit with a long tuxedo-style jacket featuring satin lapels.

Paris Fashion Week continues on Wednesday with shows from Mugler, Dries Van Noten and Kenzo.

Rocker Joel Madden would rather go into hiding than inject his face with Botox.

The Good Charlotte star, who is married to fashionista Nicole Richie, turns 40 next year (11Mar19), and as the age milestone looms, concerns about fading looks are beginning to flood his mind.

However, Joel has pretty much shut down prospects of cosmetically enhancing his features, swearing off wrinkle-blasting injections like facial paralysis drug Botox.

“I have trouble trusting the idea of that stuff. It scares me,” Madden revealed on the High Heels and Hangovers podcast earlier this week (ends10Aug18). “If it’s (ageing) that crazy that I feel like I need to change my look just because people are scrutinising it, I don’t know. I’d rather just move away and live in privacy.”

“I’d rather go and just move to a farm somewhere and live out my days,” he added.

The Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous hitmaker, who has another fashion forward star Cameron Diaz as a sister-in-law, admits he is slowly coming to terms with getting older and he is leaning towards not caring whatsoever about his physical looks as he climbs towards his Golden Years.

“I’m going to be 40 in March and I look like c**p right now. I’m jet lagged and I was up late last night, but, I mean for me, ageing is whatever. Why fight it?” he mused. “I’m not trying to fight it. I mean, what am I going to do? I’m married with two kids. I’m not trying to be anything but what I am.”
