More than 260,000 people have signed an online petition to shutdown Paris Jackson’s new movie.

The independent drama Habit sees the 22-year-old play an incarnation of the Christian holy figure, alongside co-stars Bella Thorne and musicians Gavin Rossdale, Jamie Hince and Alison Mosshart.

Religious groups have denounced the film as “Christianophobic garbage”, and the petition has attracted more than 266,000 signatures.

According to a plot synopsis, former Disney Channel star Bella will play a party girl “with a Jesus fetish” who gets mixed up in a violent drug deal, and masquerades as a nun to avoid repercussions.

It also says Paris’ “gender-bending take on the religious figure” will include “a nose ring, tousled waves and a traditional robe”.

The petition on Change.org names Warner Bros. and Lionsgate studios as its targets, and alleges that Paris will be playing the role of a “lesbian Jesus” – a claim that has not been confirmed.

“A new blasphemous Hollywood film is predicted to come out soon depicting Jesus as a lesbian woman,” the petition states. “Distributors haven’t picked it up as of yet, so let’s please spread awareness and wake people up to the Christianophobic garbage that is spread nowadays.”

The project, which was announced back in April, previously sparked an online petition from the U.S. organisation One Million Moms, which claimed the film was “sacrilegious and “ridicules people of faith”.

Paris Jackson has tattooed her own foot while spending time at home during the coronavirus lockdown.

The actress/singer, who is the daughter of late music icon Michael Jackson, already has an extensive body art collection, with her tattoos including a pair of feathers behind her right ear, an image of a stag’s head on the back of her right forearm, colourful chakra motifs down the centre of her torso, and a tribute to rock band Led Zeppelin on one arm.

However, Paris has now decided to test out her own skills, and on Tuesday, uploaded a snap to her Instagram page showing herself using a tattoo gun while drawing a small design just below her right little toe.

The 22-year-old didn’t share any further details about the meaning of the inking, though did post a close-up of the tattoo to her Instagram Stories.

And Paris isn’t the only celebrity to experiment with tattoos during the Covid-19 pandemic, as model Kaia Gerber revealed last month that she had given herself a stick-and-poke tattoo while at home during self-isolation.

Unlike traditional tattoos, simple stick-and-poke designs don’t require any electric tools, and typically involve using a tattoo-grade needle and ink, which can easily be applied to the skin.

“I think I have a newfound appreciation for tattoo artists. It’s not easy,” the 18-year-old admitted during an interview with Glamour magazine. “I didn’t get too ambitious. I gave myself a dot, just so I could be like, ‘All right, I got a tattoo this month, I’m cool.'”

Paris Jackson will “never forget” making her runway debut at Jean Paul Gaultier’s final couture show.

The French designer announced his retirement plans earlier this month and went out with a bang by holding a star-studded party-like fashion presentation during Paris Couture Week last week.

Models such as Irina Shayk, Gigi and Bella Hadid, and Karlie Kloss took to the runway at the Theatre du Chatelet, but the most surprising member of the catwalk line-up was Paris, who rocked a ’60s-inspired bohemian chic look which was comprised of a printed robe with a long train, a psychedelic patterned top, colourful snakeskin trousers, and wedge platform sandals.

Speaking to Miss Vogue about the experience, the actress/musician confessed how nervous she was during the casting process and just before her walk.

“I was very nervous during the casting, but once I had the final look on it felt pretty natural,” she explained. “I had been doing a few walks for Jean Paul when he said, ‘I’ll see you tomorrow.’ I almost screamed out of excitement, as that was his way of letting me know I got it. The whole experience is one I’ll never forget.

“I was very nervous during the moments leading up to the walk, but once I stepped out there, all the anxiety faded away. The rush I got afterwards was similar to the one I get when I get off stage after performing with my band.”

Paris, who is the daughter of Michael Jackson, shared that she hopes to do more catwalk shows in the future and will always be grateful for being part of such an epic fashion moment.

“I’m truly grateful to have been a part of such a memorable and legendary night that will most definitely go down in fashion history,” the 21-year-old added.

Paris Jackson made her runway debut at Jean Paul Gaultier’s final show during Paris Couture Week on Wednesday night.

The French fashion designer shocked fans last week when he announced that his Paris Couture Week presentation would be his last haute couture runway, and he made sure he went out with a bang by turning the star-studded catwalk show at the Theatre du Chatelet into a party.

One of the most surprising additions to his line-up was Paris, daughter of the late Michael Jackson, who hit the runway in a ’60s-inspired bohemian chic look which was comprised of a printed robe with a long train, a psychedelic patterned top, colourful snakeskin trousers, and wedge platform sandals. She topped the look off with colourful beaded jewellery and a green headband.

The 21-year-old later shared footage of her walk on Instagram and wrote in the caption, “Absolutely honoured and deeply grateful @jpgaultierofficial.”

In the comments, Naomi Campbell gave her seal of approval by calling the look “beautiful”.

Burlesque star Dita Von Teese also brought a little celebrity glitter to the show, strutting the runway in a sexy outfit crafted from belts and a corset, while Culture Club singer Boy George performed during the finale.

Models including Gigi and Bella Hadid, Winnie Harlow, Irina Shayk, Karlie Kloss, and Joan Smalls all made an appearance, alongside Gaultier muses such as Karen Elson and Coca Rocha, who performed an Irish dance down the runway.

The event brought out many industry icons who wanted to catch Gaultier’s final fashion show too. Carla Bruni, Eva Herzigova, and fellow designer Christian Louboutin were among the famous faces in the audience.

Opening the show, the retiring Gaultier urged his fans to recycle their clothes, stating, “In my first show and this, my last, there are creations made with the jeans I’ve worn. It’s the most beautiful of materials. Like a lot of humans, it becomes even more beautiful as it gets older.”

Jean Paul Gaultier has concluded his 50-year fashion career with a star-studded runway spectacle.

The legendary French designer announced his retirement plans in a statement posted to social media last weekend, and on Wednesday night, staged his final catwalk show at the Theatre du Chatelet as part of Paris Couture Week.

The extravaganza drew in a number of celebrities, including Nicolas Ghesquiere, Christian Lacroix, Carla Bruni, and Christian Louboutin, but at the opening, Gaultier called for fans to embrace sustainability and recycle their clothes.

“In my first show and this, my last, there are creations made with the jeans I’ve worn,” he told the crowd. “It’s the most beautiful of materials. Like a lot of humans, it becomes even more beautiful as it gets older.”

As promised, Gaultier offered guests a party, with the presentation opening with Karlie Kloss standing in the centre of the stage and opening a black coffin, to reveal model Issa Lish standing in a frilled white minidress inside.

Lish then took to the catwalk and was followed by a parade of models in quirky ensembles, such as a white dress covered in gloves, a top made from a tuxedo jacket, and a black tulle dress with images of Japanese art attached to the front.

Many of the 67-year-old’s key motifs were also included, with one model sporting a jumpsuit that resembled the conical bra he created for Madonna in the 1990s, burlesque star Dita Von Teese posing in an outfit made from a satin corset and belts, Gigi Hadid in a sailor uniform-inspired look, Karen Elson in a corseted number, and Irina Shayk in a Goth-inspired black tulle ballgown.

The event also featured special appearances from Joan Smalls, Paris Jackson, who made her runway debut, Erin O’Connor, as well as Coco Rocha, who did an Irish dance on the catwalk, as she also did back in 2007.

To conclude, Boy George performed a song during the finale, with the models applauding Gaultier as he proceeded to take his bow.

Lucky Blue Smith has hit back at online critics who have accused him of spending little time with his daughter.

The model and his girlfriend Stormi Bree welcomed daughter Gravity Blue Smith in 2017, though the couple later parted ways.

In an Instagram post uploaded over the weekend, Smith took the opportunity to blast trolls who have claimed he isn’t fulfilling his co-parenting duties.

“I hate making posts like this, but I am beyond tired of seeing comments about me not being with my daughter. Just because I don’t blast my daughter on social media to the world does NOT mean I’m not with her,” the 21-year-old wrote. “Let’s get this straight so anyone who’s wondering or has ever wondered, I have 50 per cent legal AND physical custody of Gravity. When I travel for work, I make up the days that I have missed, as does her mother.”

Smith went on to note that social media platforms can be “extremely deceiving” and insisted that he won’t be posting pictures of his two-year-old any time soon.

“Social media can be extremely deceiving, so before you make assumptions KNOW your facts, and this goes for everyone not just me, you have no clue what people are actually dealing with and fighting for behind the scenes, so please don’t automatically assume something is happening the way it seems just because you see it on social media,” he concluded.

Bree has not yet responded to Smith’s post. However, the Utah native received plenty of support from his celebrity pals, including Rachel Zoe and Maye Musk, while Paris Jackson commented, “I’m so sick of people acting as though they know the people they follow so well, literally based off of social media posts. As if that’s enough to know someone. People forget that private lives exist. S**t like this p**ses me off so much. Keep your head up man.”

Tom Ford has kicked off New York Fashion Week with his signature brand of sexy sophistication.

The designer unveiled his spring 2019 collection at the Park Avenue Armory on Wednesday night (05Sep18), with A-list guests including Hailee Steinfeld, Elizabeth Debicki, Paris Jackson, Henry Golding, Cardi B as well as Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson.

Regarding the collection, Ford explained in his show notes that he wanted the clothes to empower the wearer to be their best selves.

“I became a designer because I wanted to make men and women feel more beautiful and to empower them with a feeling of confidence,” he commented. “A feeling of knowing that they looked their best and could then present their best selves to the world. I wanted to make clothes that were flattering. That make one look taller and slimmer and more beautiful or more handsome.”

Rising model Kaia Gerber rocked the runway in a mauve tasselled gown with matching jacket made from an alligator-look material, Joan Smalls donned a bronze tasselled skirt and leopard print bodice and coat, while Gigi Hadid concluded the show in a black gown with a flowing cape.

New York Fashion Week continues on Thursday with shows from Pamella Roland and Jeremy Scott.

Zayn Malik and Paris Jackson are fronting the pre-holiday ’18 campaign for Philippine retailer Penshoppe.

Popstar Zayn has been posing for the brand since his days in One Direction, though budding actress Paris is a new addition to the impressive list of Penshoppe’s international ambassadors.

Previous stars to work with the label include Zayn’s girlfriend Gigi Hadid and her model sister Bella, fellow catwalk stars Kendall Jenner, Kaia Gerber and Cara Delevingne, and actor Ian Somerhalder.

Some of the new campaign images have been shared on Penshoppe’s Instagram page, with Zayn and Paris both modelling next season’s must-have pattern, stripes.

“Always a treat for the (eye emoji)! Shop @zayn’s look through the link (in) our bio! #PenshoppePreHoliday2018 #ZaynXPenshoppe,” a snap of Zayn was captioned.

In the close-up photo, the 25-year-old Brit stares away from the camera wearing a navy sweater with green and cream stripes on. His hair is cut short and bleached blonde, while his neck tattoos are on full display.

A second picture features Zayn perched on a bicycle wearing a heavily patterned blue short-sleeved button-down shirt.

Paris’ images are equally as brooding, and in one she stands holding a baseball bat on her shoulders in a red blazer with white stripes, teamed with a matching chequered crop top and tailored trouser set.

The 20-year-old also poses on a railway track and like Zayn, on a bike.

“Fronting the #PenshoppePreHoliday2018 campaign is #TeamPenshoppe’s newest member, Paris Jackson,” reads one caption.
