Lucy Hale and Nicholas Gonzalez will lead the upcoming survival thriller Borrego.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Pretty Little Liars actress has signed on to play a young botanist who relocates to a small desert town to study an invasive plant species. While she’s out doing research, she comes across a downed plane and goes to investigate, only to find herself taken captive by an inexperienced drug mule who forces her to lead a trek across the sweltering desert to his drop.

The Good Doctor actor Gonzalez, who also had a recurring role in Pretty Little Liars, will play a local sheriff, who is drawn into the hunt as his rebellious daughter sets out to find the missing botanist, all the while being pursued by a local drug receiver.

Narcos actors Leynar Gomez and Jorge A. Jimenez and relative newcomer Olivia Trujillo round out the cast.

Jesse Harris, making his feature film directorial debut, will helm the project from his own script. He will also produce alongside Hale.

“Can’t wait to go make my film with this dream cast and producing team,” he wrote alongside a screengrab of the casting news on Instagram. “Thanks to everyone who’s been a champion of this project over the years. @lucyhale @eltexmex @leynar.gomez @jorge.a.jimenez.oficial @oliviatrujillo @greglauritano @dtucci27 @tiziano.tucci.”

Borrego will also be produced by Black Magic’s Greg Lauritano, who recently worked with Hale on upcoming comedy-drama Big Gold Brick, as well as Tucci & Company’s Damiano and Tiziano Tucci.

“So excited about this! Running it back with @lucyhale,” Lauritano added on Instagram, and the Katy Keene actress shared the post on her Instagram Stories.

Troian Bellisario had ‘extreme anxiety’ over royal wedding look

Troian Bellisario had “a nightmare” trying to find a fascinator to wear to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding.

The Pretty Little Liars actress wore a blush pink Temperley London dress with a matching mesh veil fascinator to attend the royal wedding in Windsor, England with her husband Patrick J. Adams, Meghan’s former Suits co-star, in May 2018.

In a new interview with Australia’s Stellar magazine, Troian admitted she had a hard time finding a formal headpiece that was the right size and had “extreme anxiety” that she would get it wrong and be criticised by the press.

“They look ridiculous unless you’re in the 1930s. You could get one that is an absolute piece of art, but then are you being too vain and trying to call too much attention to yourself? Or if you get a fascinator that’s very small, are you not going for tradition?” she confessed. “I’d never needed a fascinator in my life, and here I was trying to walk this tightrope of ‘don’t go too big, don’t go too small’. It was a nightmare.”

She called up her stylist Annabelle Harron before she was due to leave for the service to get some reassurance that her choice of fascinator wasn’t breaking any royal rules.

“I was like, ‘Annabelle, this is not a full hat.’ And she said, ‘It’s fine, you have a veil, you have a head covering.’ And I was like, ‘If the British press tears me apart, I can never forgive you for this.’ And she said, ‘Trust me, I’m an Aussie. I’ve got you!'” she recalled.

Besides her fascinator nightmare, the 34-year-old was also convinced that her outfit would give away the fact that she was pregnant with her daughter Aurora, who was born that October.

“I was trying to conceal the fact that I was five months pregnant. I was absolutely positive that it was going to be revealed,” she added.

Lucy Hale honoured her pet dog with a sweet new tattoo.

The Pretty Little Liars star debuted the meaningful ink with two black-and-white images on Instagram on Monday, and revealed that she also had a touching design dedicated to her sister’s three young children.

Lucy’s new additions were done by Los Angeles-based tattoo artist Winter Stone, with one design in the crook of her elbow that simply reads “Elvis” after her beloved Maltipoo, who regularly features in pictures and posts on the star’s social media.

The second design on her inner forearm reads, “14 16 20,” and is a sweet tribute to the birth years of her sister’s three children, Glenys, Lula, and Oliver.

“For my loves – thank you @winterstone,” the 31-year-old captioned the photos.

The Katy Keene actress has 13 other tattoos, including her grandmother’s handwriting on her forearm, a vintage lightbulb on the back of her left arm, and an elephant on the inside of her elbow that she picked up during a trip to Cambodia.

Back in March, she revealed that her smallest tattoo, a lowercase ‘a’ on her left index finger, which was inspired by Pretty Little Liars, was in fact, one of the most painful to get.

“It’s one of my favourite ones but it actually hurt the most!” she told Wired.

Chloe Grace Moretz has teamed up with her trainer Jason Walsh to offer fans a series of home workout sessions.

In a bid to help fans stay fit during the coronavirus lockdown, the actress, who is a regular client of Jason’s, took to her Instagram Live channel for the first instalment of their #saferathome workout series on Tuesday.

“We will share with you guys what we do with minimal equipment to stay strong and healthy during this quarantine,” she explained before the session. “We will be using two exercise bands, a towel, small dumbbells, a medicine ball, yoga mat and something that substitutes for a bench!”

Chloe added: “If you have none of those, no problem, all the exercises we are doing can be completed with body weight only and just doubling up the reps!”

Elsewhere in fitness broadcasts, Pretty Little Liars actress Troian Bellisario is partnering with celebrity trainer and health and wellness coach Amy Rosoff Davis for an online workout session on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, soccer star Rio Ferdinand and his wife, British reality TV star Kate, will share the latest in a series of workouts on YouTube on Wednesday morning, using common household items in place of weights and gym equipment.

They will continue to premiere new videos every Wednesday and Sunday.

Ashley Benson has taken her love of French fries to the next level by getting a tattoo tribute to the potato snack.

The Pretty Little Liars actress and her friend Tara paid a visit to tattoo artist Jonathan ‘JonBoy’ Valena’s parlour in New York on Wednesday night and she documented the trip on her Instagram Stories, revealing that she was planning on “gettin a few (sic)” new additions to her body art collection.

She shared footage of JonBoy etching the word “Pommes Frites”, the French translation of French fries, in small capital letters on the inside of her right forearm, just underneath the crease of her elbow, and then posted a close-up snap which showed Tara got the same word on the back of her upper arm, just above her elbow.

“I love pomme frites so does Tara thanks @jonboytattoo,” she captioned the picture.

The 30-year-old, who is dating model/actress Cara Delevingne, didn’t stop there – she also got cursive script on her back. It isn’t clear what word she got tattooed, but she captioned the photo: “California Girl”.

Ashley is a regular visitor to JonBoy’s parlour and has accumulated more than 10 minimal line drawing tattoos, including a heart containing a wave, the word “muggsy” and the number three on the same arm as her new Pommes Frites piece.

She also has the roman numerals for the number 89, a quote from Alice in Wonderland, and the initials CD, a reference to her girlfriend, on her ribcage and a “H” on her finger, a nod to her Pretty Little Liars character Hanna Marin.

After she got her two new tattoos, Ashley then became the tattoo artist and etched the word “t**ty” on JonBoy’s right thigh.

Shay Mitchell is the new face of Cacharel Parfums’ Yes I Am fragrances.

The Pretty Little Liars star is one of the busiest women in Hollywood, and not only juggles acting gigs, but recently established her lifestyle brand Beis and welcomed her daughter Atlas last October.

Now, Shay has been tapped as Cacharel Parfums’ latest brand ambassador, with company bosses praising the multi-tasking new mother as a perfect fit.

“Shay Mitchell is a multi-talented creative force as an actress, producer, entrepreneur, author,” a brand representative commented. “Shay Mitchell is in a league of her own at establishing herself as a leading force in the new age of social media by not only boasting an impressive social media following, but also by producing a YouTube lifestyle channel and creating clothing and jewellery lines.”

Launched in 2018, the Yes I Am fragrances are centred around a unique signature accord called the Spicy Cremoso. It’s described as a combination of a creamy accord and a powerful, spicy cardamom.

“Yes I Am echoes the challenges that drive these young women. Hyper-connected, independent, bold and unapologetic, they no longer see beauty as a diktat (order) but as a confidence-booster,” they added. “Their approach to femininity serves to meet their own desires, rather than those of others; they are breaking the code and bringing new messages of feminist: claiming women independency!”

Lucy Hale struggled with reactions to her changing body while playing a high school student on the hit show Pretty Little Liars.

The 30-year-old is best known for playing Aria Montgomery on the U.S. teen drama series from 2010 to 2017, during which time her body changed, and Lucy has confessed that she struggled with the negative reaction on social media to her slight weight gain.

“Looking back on it now, it’s like, Oh, that was really tough. You did feel like you had to uphold some sort of image,” Lucy explained to U.S. Cosmopolitan magazine. “I’ve always been very petite, but over the course of eight years, my body changed. I gained a little bit of weight, and seeing how people reacted to that really messed with my head.”

And as the show became more popular, her low confidence took a further hit when she began getting breakouts.

“I started getting all these stress-related, hormone-related breakouts. They had this specialty light for me,” she recalled.

Now, Lucy shared her regret at the time she’s spent worrying over her looks, especially as it was out of her control.

“I look back and I think of all the minutes and hours I’ve wasted upset over how I looked or something that was out of my control,” she shared. “I wish I could get that time back, although it has led me to where I’m at now.”

The Katy Keene star celebrated the return of her confidence when she hit 30 by chopping her brunette hair into a chic shoulder-length bob.

“It feels nice to just not give a f**k about certain things,” she said of her decision. “It was the most liberating thing I’ve ever done.”

Lucy Hale is undergoing laser surgery to remove six of her old tattoos.

The 30-year-old has been adding to her collection of body art consistently over the years and has a bunch of around 14 small and delicate tattoos on her body, mostly in places that can be hidden by clothing.

However, in a cover interview for U.S. Cosmopolitan magazine, Lucy revealed she was in the process of having six tattoos removed, including ones that depict an elephant, a light bulb, and a Bible verse.

“I got it done out of the country and it was not done well,” the Pretty Little Liars star said of the elephant design, before adding that she was “over” the light bulb.

Regarding the Bible verse on her rib cage, she noted, “I’m not religious by any means at all anymore”, and explained how the “thick” font isn’t in keeping with the single needle art she has on the rest of her body.

However, there are several pieces of body art that Lucy has decided to keep, including “I love you” written in her grandmother’s handwriting on her arm, an evil eye, and a quote from the Instagram poet Atticus which reads, “Love her but leave her wild.”

In an interview with Refinery29 last July, the brunette beauty explained that she was removing some tattoos due to their outdated style.

“It’s not that I don’t like them, it’s just the style of them is so different now,” she shared. “I got them when I was like 17. Things are different, times have changed. I love a lot of mine, it’s just like (I) look back on some, and I’m like, ‘What was I thinking?”

Shay Mitchell has completed three workouts in one day as part of her goal to get back into shape after welcoming her daughter Atlas.

The Pretty Little Liars star gave birth to her first child with boyfriend Matte Babel back in October, following an intense 33-hour labour, and has been documenting the first few months of the tot’s life on Instagram.

On Monday, Shay gave fans an insight into her fitness regime now she’s a new mother, and the 32-year-old stunned her followers when she revealed that she does three separate workouts on a daily basis.

After finishing a spin class, she also trained in the gym, before doing a stair run outside with her daughter in a baby carrier, remarking it’s “so much harder with this much weight on me”.

“Alright, here we are. Spin class, trained, and now we’re doing stairs,” the actress told the camera.

Shay wore a black sports top and matching jacket for her fitness session, styled her hair back, and wore a pair of dark shades for the mega workout, all while baby Atlas was strapped to her chest.

The brunette beauty was joined by celebrity trainer Nichelle Hines for the spin class and gym session, who couldn’t help but heap praise her client.

“I was going to give her trash because she hasn’t been here since she had a baby, but can you even tell she had a baby,” she gushed in one of the clips shared to Shay’s Instagram Stories.

Shay also met up with Lawrence Longo for her outdoor session on the stairs, before the duo headed for a burger.

Ashley Graham and Shay Mitchell have candidly spoken about their struggles with depression during pregnancy.

The model is expecting her first child, a son, with husband Justin Ervin later this month, while Pretty Little Liars star Shay welcomed her daughter Atlas Noa with boyfriend Matte Babel back in October.

The pair recently took part in a discussion about the highs and lows of pregnancy during an episode of Ashley’s podcast Pretty Big Deal, and the 32-year-old confessed she could’ve been dealing with a form of prenatal depression.

“I want to talk about this, because I can’t say definitely that I went through it, but I can say that I might have gone through something like it,” Ashley began, before revealing that she and Justin were surprised by her pregnancy because they weren’t trying for a baby. “Then all of the sudden, my emotions, my mind, my body, things that I always had control over are now totally out of whack. I can’t talk to anybody about it, my husband doesn’t understand but he’s trying to be as supportive as possible. My mom is like, ‘Oh you’ll be fine.’ I think I was spiralling a little bit and I was crying a lot.”

Shay, who had gone through an intense 33-hour labour before little Atlas was born, agreed with Ashley, and revealed she also suffered something similar.

“I mean every single thing that you just said is exactly what I went through,” the actress recalled. “My mom said the same thing, and I’d be crying to her and she’d be like, ‘You’re just emotional, it’s just the hormones.’ And O.K. cool it might be, but you don’t want to hear that. Like, yes, it is. If it is the hormones, I’m still feeling that way. It doesn’t take away from this feeling, and it’s completely isolating.”

Finding common ground in their shared experience, Shay, 32, urged other pregnant women to talk about their feelings with loved ones.

“I heard so much about postpartum which is also a real thing, but I’d never heard about prepartum depression,” she added.
