Paris Hilton lost 80 per cent of her designer handbags and clothes when she was targeted by the Bling Ring burglary gang.

Paris was among the celebrities who lost possessions during the Bling Ring’s reign in Calabasas, California during 2008-09, along with Rachel Bilson, Lindsay Lohan, Audrina Patridge, Orlando Bloom and ex Miranda Kerr, as well as Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green.

The socialite and businesswoman had her house broken into multiple times, and was left with very few possessions in the wake of the robberies.

“When the Bling Ring broke into my house, they knew fashion, so they basically stole almost every single one of (my Dior bags), all my Birkins, all my Chanel bags,” Paris told Elle Australia. “They took basically everything, so 80 per cent of those things are gone because those kids broke into my house seven different times. Every time they broke in, they’d take more of my pieces. So, a lot of my stuff is gone.

“(The clothes) are probably in their closets, or on eBay… who knows.”

The 37-year-old is now thinking about finally replacing her Dior Saddle bag collection, after current label head Maria Grazia Chiuri reintroduced the iconic design to the French fashion house’s autumn/winter 2018 collection.

“I need to buy more Saddle bags! They’re so hot,” she smiled.

She’s also never lost her love for Juicy Couture tracksuits.

“I’m so happy that I’ve kept all my Juicy Couture. I have an entire closet of it, literally dedicated to all my Juicy. That was my uniform back in the day – what I always chill in when I travel. I live for Juicy,” the blonde star stated.

Actress Rachel Bilson wishes all mothers had access to affordable fashion.

The former star of The O.C. is currently raising her three-year-old daughter Briar Rose, with ex Hayden Christensen, and feels that when it comes to looking and feeling good, accessible items are key.

“It’s hugely important,” she tells InStyle. “Speaking from a mother’s perspective, moms want to look cute, feel good, and be comfortable, but we know most things will get dirty.

“Every woman deserves to be able to buy what they want and feel good in what they’re wearing. Just to be able to afford clothes you actually want to buy is huge, and everyone should be able to wear the things that they love.”

Bilson really values dressing up, especially now she has found that taking care of a young child often leads her to neglect her appearance.

“I’m always dirty, but I honestly spill stuff on myself without my daughter; that’s a whole other thing,” she adds.

Motherhood has also taught the 37 year old the importance of a work-life balance – Bilson recently brought her little girl to the set of her series Take Two and frequently encourages her to view being a working woman in a positive light.

“At work, she had her own side of the trailer,” she shares. “It was really cute. I want her to feel comfortable, and comfortable in the workspace. Also, if you show that you love to work and you love what you do, it sets a good example so that she won’t look at it in a negative way.

“Every time I’m gone in the mornings when she wakes up, I leave a map with a little treasure for her to find. It’s a positive spin on it and a positive way for her to relate to work. I hope it will help her develop.”

Mischa Barton had to wear designer knock-offs during the first season of The O.C..

The actress played Marissa Cooper in the hit teen TV drama, which aired in the U.S. from 2003 to 2007. Centred around the dramas of the wealthy elite in affluent Newport Beach, California, Mischa famously carried designer bags throughout her scenes, but costume designer Alexandra Welker has revealed that there were many cost-cutting measures put in place during The O.C.’s debut series.

“We started with a little tiny budget, which was a challenge – because everything had to look super high-end,” she told Page Six. “There was absolutely no borrowing (from brands) involved either, because nobody had ever heard of us, so they were very leery of loaning anything. I’ll be honest: Those Chanel bags that she carried, those weren’t something I could have on my budget, but I found this amazing store in Downtown L.A. (Los Angeles) that sold the best-looking fakes I’d ever seen! So we used some really, really good knock-offs.”

Although Welker had to hustle at the start of the show, her hard work paid off – The O.C., which also starred Adam Brody and Rachel Bilson, became one of the most popular series on television.

“We had our heads down, hard at work – and all of a sudden, you’d pass a newsstand and every magazine would have an article about us,” she recalled. “I remember Rachel and Adam coming back from lunch one day, and they were like, ‘The weirdest thing just happened: We were just sitting there eating, and people came up to us asking for our autographs!’

“It was really cool and terrifying and exciting to be part of it as it was blowing up, and the fact that the show launched fashion trends is pretty fantastic.”
