Reese Witherspoon has jokingly scolded her pet bulldogs after she found them attempting to eat her shoes.

The Morning Show actress took to her Instagram Stories on Thursday to share a clip of her dogs Lou and Pepper looking innocent while surrounded by a bunch of slides and sneakers.

“Which one of you guys ate all the shoes?” Reese asked the two dogs, as they sat with an array of footwear behind them. “Pepper, was it you? Lou? Did you eat the shoes?”

Beneath a photo of the mischievous pups, the star also posted a poll and asked her Instagram followers, “Who do you think ate all these shoes?”

Most users thought Lou was the mastermind, and they were right, because Reese later posted a video of the dog wearing a festive sweater while snoring loudly on a dog bed.

“Shoe coma,” the 43-year-old wrote in the caption.

Reese adopted blue-eyed bulldog Lou in June, almost two months after the death of her dog Nash. She is also the owner of French bulldog Pepper and a Labrador named Hank.

But this is not the first time Lou has given her a little grief. Previously, she shared a snap of the canine sitting on a blue rug after she spotted him chewing on it.

“Guilty,” she commented, adding: “But I forgive him…”

In addition to her pet dogs, Reese has had two donkeys named Honky and Tonky on her farm, as well as two pigs, three goats, one horse, and 20 chickens.

“They’re actually miniature donkeys, we call them ‘donks,'” she said during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2018. “We had a friend who had a donkey and we thought it was really cute, so we got some donkeys.”

Laura Dern wants older women to know that younger men still find them sexy.

The Big Little Lies star has opened up on style and beauty in an interview with InStyle magazine and revealed that she’s still lusted after by the younger generation at the age of 52.

“There is an American female myth that younger men don’t find older women sexy. That is a myth. Take it from me!” Dern laughed.

The actress is reportedly single after divorcing musician Ben Harper in 2013.

Elsewhere in the interview, the Dern said she and her Big Little Lies co-stars, including Reese Witherspoon, Zoe Kravitz, and Shailene Woodley, all share beauty tips and treatments while at work on the HBO show.

“We talked a lot about skin care. Reese and I even share a facialist. It’s a group of women working together for months, and we all want to take care of our skin and have tried different fads,” she explained. “Zoe turned me on to a face mist that was so beautiful. And I’m always looking for organic makeup and companies that are doing good things for the planet, which Shailene knows all about.”

And as for the vital piece of advice that she gave her co-stars? Take a bath.

“The one tip I bring to all of my friendships is that baths are the ultimate game changer,” the actress stated. “If I’m at a hotel and have eight minutes before I have to run somewhere, I’m in a warm bath with lavender. It’s my meditation and can totally change my energy.”

Kim Kardashian asked for Reese Witherspoon’s approval before wearing her Legally Blonde-inspired look for Halloween.

The reality TV star is following in her late attorney father Robert Kardashian’s footsteps by training to become a lawyer, and last Thursday, decided to transform into Witherspoon’s bubbly sorority girl-turned-Harvard Law School student character Elle Woods for a bash.

Sharing several snaps on her Instagram page, Kardashian donned a pink dress and blonde wig, and also uploaded a video showing her parodying Woods’s famous Harvard admissions video essay.

The look was met with acclaim from fans, as well as Witherspoon, who commented, “Elle Woods forever,” adding the 100 emoji.

And speaking to Entertainment Tonight Canada, Witherspoon revealed Kardashian actually reached out to her for her blessing before debuting the costume.

“She actually wrote me and said, ‘I’m gonna do it.’ And I was like ‘Go for it!'” The Morning Show actress said. “It turned out great. She did a great job.”

“I’m impressed with that!” her co-star in the Apple TV+ series, Jennifer Aniston, added.

Aniston hadn’t yet seen the clip, but after her pal gushed over the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star’s project, she enthused: “That’s incredible, you have to show me that!”

Meanwhile, a third Legally Blonde movie is currently in the works, with Witherspoon hoping co-stars Jennifer Coolidge, Luke Wilson and Selma Blair will return for the flick.

Reese Witherspoon is hoping to reunite with her original Legally Blonde castmates on the upcoming third movie in the popular franchise.

The actress will reprise her role as Elle Woods, a naive sorority girl who tries to win back her ex-boyfriend by enrolling into Harvard Law School, in the reboot.

Reese’s flick will follow on from the 2001 original and its 2003 sequel, and a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, she speculated over which fan favourites may return for the feature.

“It’s just a development project right now, so we’ll see,” she told reporters at a screening of her new Apple TV+ series The Morning Show at the Paley Center in New York on Tuesday.

“I love Jennifer Coolidge and Luke Wilson and Selma Blair and so there’s so many great characters that people love,” Reese continued, naming Elle’s onscreen pal Paulette, her boyfriend, Emmett, and on/off friend Vivian, respectively.

She added: “If we end up doing it, hopefully they end up all being there.”

Earlier this year, Reese revealed during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that she was still working on the project.

“We’re definitely talking about it…,” the 43-year-old said. “I mean it’s sort of about women being underestimated and I think it’s a good idea… Things have changed, but not that much has changed! I love playing that character. She’s so amazing.”

MGM executives previously indicated they are looking to release the third instalment in May 2020.

Jennifer Aniston has credited intermittent fasting with helping her to stay in shape.

The Friends actress abides by the 16:8 fasting diet, meaning she goes without food for a whopping 16 hours and only eats in a strict eight-hour period.

“I do intermittent fasting, so no food in the morning. I noticed a big difference in going without solid food for 16 hours,” she told Radio Times magazine.

Jennifer went on to explain that she starts her day at 9am, and when she’s not fasting, she has celery juice for breakfast. The 50-year-old will then meditate before heading out for a rigorous workout.

Intermittent fasting, also known as the eight-hour diet, is said to assist weight loss, control blood sugar levels and boost brain function. No foods are off-limits during the eight hours you’re allowed to eat, but followers of the diet insist that no junk food is consumed and urge people to be careful of binge eating.

Most devotees of the diet choose to skip food in the mornings and eat protein-rich meals from 12pm until 8pm daily.

Jennifer’s The Morning Show co-star Reese Witherspoon is also a fitness fanatic – hitting the gym up to six times a week – and recently revealed she often turns to her pal for advice on nutrition.

“I just have a green juice and a coffee in the morning. Jen knows so much about health and fitness that I always defer to her. She’s great at wellbeing advice,” Reese gushed.

Scarlett Johansson would be interested in starring in a Dolly Parton movie, after the country singer suggested the actress play her in a biopic.

When she was interviewed recently about a potential movie adaptation of her life, the country music legend was asked who she’d want to see play her in the project, to which she replied either Scarlett or Reese Witherspoon.

The actress was asked about the prospect by Entertainment Tonight as she attended the Elle Women In Hollywood Awards on Monday, and admitted she wouldn’t rule it out.

“Those are big shoes to fill,” she replied. “Or, probably not. They are probably very tiny, dainty, sparkly fabulous shoes.”

While Scarlett has “never found a biopic that I felt compelled to try my hand at,” she added she’d be interested “just for the costumes alone!”

“She is quite a woman,” she said of the 9 to 5 star. “She’s a hard-working woman and she embodies everything that is fierce independence. So, I’m sure it would be a lot of work but it would be good work. So, maybe!”

The Avengers star is currently being kept busy in all aspects of her life, with work, motherhood and planning her wedding to Colin Jost. Of how she’s managing to balance it all, she smiled: “It’s very imbalanced. I think that is a rumour. There is no balance.”

Noah Hawley originally turned down directing Lucy in the Sky because he thought the real-life inspiration for the story wasn’t interesting enough.

The film follows the story of astronaut Lucy Cola, played by Oscar winner Natalie Portman, who begins to lose touch with reality and her sanity as she embarks on a devastating affair with a fellow officer, portrayed by Jon Hamm, after she returns to Earth following a long trip into space.

It was based on the real-life story of NASA astronaut Lisa Nowak, who drove across the U.S. to try and kidnap Cathleen Shipman, the new girlfriend of her lover, William Oefelein, back in 2007.

However, when it was pitched to Hawley, he wasn’t interested in Nowak’s story, so ultimately passed on the project, but it was producer Reese Witherspoon that convinced him to come back onboard.

“I wasn’t terribly interested in a literal telling of the story, and so it kind of fell off my radar,” he told Deadline. “Then Reese Witherspoon and Bruna Papandrea brought in another writer, John-Henry Butterworth who did a draft that began to introduce the magic realism and the more psychological elements and it became less of a literal telling and more of a fictional examination of the story of an astronaut who goes to space and has this explosive experience and a very hard time kind of re-fitting back into her life when she comes home.”

Hawley is full of praise for his leading lady, and said the mother-of-two was “remarkable” playing tormented astronaut Lucy Cola.

“I mean, Natalie’s performance of course is the real headline of this movie and the transformation that she goes through and the sort of bravado and assuredness and the charm and the swagger that she carries through this film and then the kind of degradation of her character as she begins to degrade when she loses control,” Hawley gushed. “It really is such a remarkable performance that Natalie gave.”

Natalie Portman felt “so lucky” to work with Reese Witherspoon on her new movie Lucy in the Sky.

The film, directed by Noah Hawley, follows the story of astronaut Lucy Cola, who begins to lose touch with reality and her sanity as she embarks on a devastating affair with a fellow officer after she returns to Earth following a long trip into space.

It was loosely based on the real-life activities of astronaut Lisa Nowak, who drove across the U.S. to try and kidnap the new girlfriend of her lover, William Oefelein.

Portman opened up about how she felt working with fellow Oscar winner Witherspoon, who produced and kickstarted the project.

“Reese was very involved, she helped develop the script so I am very grateful to her for helping create this character and working on details of it with Noah during the development… it was so lucky,” she told Entertainment Tonight.

Witherspoon was originally set to star in the movie, alongside Jon Hamm and Dan Stevens, but eventually decided to step back and handed the leading lady reigns over the Portman instead.

“She’s such a powerhouse,” the Black Swan star gushed. “She’s producing and making work for a lot of us, so I’m very grateful and it was really lucky to get to have a friend to get to call up and be like, ‘What do you think about this? What’s your take on this? Why did you choose this?’ It was very lucky to have her insight.”

Lucy in the Sky is released in cinemas on 4 October.

Reese Witherspoon cried for three days after losing dream role

Reese Witherspoon was once so upset after losing out on a role, she cried “ugly tears” for three days.

The 43-year-old shared the emotional story in a heartfelt Instagram post on Tuesday, telling her millions of followers that despite all the success she’s had, there are still roles she wishes she could have played.

“When I first started as an actor, I went on an audition for a part that I wanted more than ANYTHING,” she wrote. “This was an incredible movie with a huge male movie star as the lead. I had three callbacks, then a screen test and one day my agent called and said, ‘You didn’t get the part, the lead actor liked working with the other actress more.’

“Oh boy, did I cry. Ugly tears. For 3 whole days.”

The Legally Blonde star also revealed casting agents frequently shot her down for parts she was desperate to get.

“Over the years, I lost as many parts as I got,” the actress added. “I was always considered TOO something. Too short. Too feisty. Too energetic. I once got told I seemed too smart to play a young female character. I’m not gonna lie, sometimes all the rejection would hurt my feelings, I would take it personally. I definitely cried in the shower a lot in my twenties.”

But the Oscar winner’s low points have made her tougher and stronger.

“What I didn’t know then was: rejection teaches you perseverance and how to get tough,” she shared. “And you also learn… not every path is right for you.”

Reese Witherspoon is teaming up with director Simon Kinberg on new sci-fi movie Pyros.

According to editors at Deadline, the Big Little Lies actress is attached to star in and produce the new movie, which will be directed by X-Men: Dark Phoenix filmmaker Kinberg, and studios are currently bidding on the project.

The film will be written by author Thomas Pierce, who is adapting his short story Tardy Man, which was published in The New Yorker last year. The story follows a group of people who have fire-retardant suits fused to their spines and work for a corporation that recovers objects for wealthy people when their houses are burning. They are forbidden from deviating from their salvage mission, even to help another human, but the protagonist decides to break this rule.

Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter will produce through their Hello Sunshine banner alongside Genre Films’ Audrey Chon.

The Oscar-nominated actress was recently seen onscreen reprising her role of Madeline in HBO limited series Big Little Lies, which she also produced. She has also completed filming Apple TV series, The Morning Show, alongside Jennifer Aniston and Steve Carell, and will star in TV series Little Fires Everywhere, both of which she is producing.

Witherspoon has a number of film projects in the pipeline too, including a voice role in Sing 2, Legally Blonde 3, in which she will play Elle Woods once again after a 16-year break, and a live-action Tinker Bell movie.

Her production slate also includes Natalie Portman’s space drama Lucy in the Sky, Penguin Bloom, with Naomi Watts and Andrew Lincoln, and a drama about singer Peggy Lee.

Longtime producer Kinberg made his feature directorial debut with Dark Phoenix earlier this year and is currently filming 355, a spy film starring Jessica Chastain, Lupita Nyong’o and Penelope Cruz, among others.
