Sylvester Stallone has ditched the jet-black hair dye and finally embraced his natural grey hair.

The 73-year-old debuted the new ‘do in a video on Instagram on Tuesday and showcased his silver hair and beard while delivering an empowering message to his 11.7 million followers.

“Keep punching my friends,” Stallone said while travelling in the back of a car. “Sometimes I wake up I feel like doing nothing. Just relaxing. Just very true. If anyone says different, they’re lying – it’s human nature. Then you roll over, get a little mad at yourself, and realise to get anywhere you’ve got to make a deposit in the GOAL BANK. So, I’ll go back to my favourite phrase and do it!!”

Stallone originally planned to follow in the footsteps of his hairdresser father before he became a Hollywood star, and hairstylist Michelle Pugh told People back in 2017 that The Expendables star has even coloured the hair of his three daughters.

“He coloured Sistine and Sophia’s hair blonde when they were younger, and Scarlet had some lightening he had done on her a few months back. He is very much the stamp of approval on whether or not we’ve done a good job,” she shared.

Fans were supportive of Stallone’s hair transformation, with one commenting: “Proud of you with the silver hair,” while another wrote, “Stay true to the grey!! Looks good on ya!”

Sylvester Stallone is planning to make a new action thriller in Hong Kong.

The action star’s latest movie, Rambo: Last Blood, debuts on Friday and he has another instalment in the Rocky/Creed franchise on the way.

However, the 73-year-old told Variety that he’s already lining up his next major project – a Blade Runner-style thriller set in Hong Kong.

“I may be doing a movie in China soon. Top secret. A big one,” he explained, adding that his character would be “definitely an out-of-sync, two-generations-behind, definitely-wouldn’t-use-Alexa (Amazon’s virtual assistant) kind of guy.”

China has become a lucrative market for Hollywood movies, with filmmakers increasingly looking to shoot blockbusters in the nation.

Sylvester added that he wanted to bring a more cerebral approach to his new project than the action-packed franchise movies set there.

“Right now, a lot of guys go over there to do action movies, but I think you could do more than that – do more suspense, more of a story,” the star said. “I think I’ve found the combination. It’s more like a Blade Runner, because when you’re dealing with the two mixed cultures at the same time….I don’t want to tip it off, but it’s f**king cool.”

Sylvester Stallone is taking his new Rambo film to Cannes to give film festival attendees a first glimpse of the franchise’s fifth instalment.

Rambo V: Last Blood marks the legendary actor’s final outing as John Rambo, a character he began playing in 1982’s First Blood.

According to Deadline, Sylvester will debut exclusive images from the new movie during a special screening at the Palais des Festivals on 24 May. There will also be a video montage honouring the 72-year-old’s five-decade film career and showcase the world premiere of Ted Kotcheff’s First Blood in 4K at the Grand Theatre Lumiere.

Based on David Morrell’s 1972 novel of the same name, about John Rambo, a troubled Vietnam War veteran and former U.S. Army Special Forces Soldier, the film helped cement Sylvester’s status as Hollywood’s leading action man, after the success of his first two Rocky films in the late ‘70s.

Like the Rocky franchise, the Oscar nominee co-wrote all of the Rambo instalments.

He was last seen as the Vietnam vet in 2008’s Rambo, which he also directed.

Rambo V: Last Blood, directed by Adrian Grunberg, will see Rambo go up against a Mexican cartel. It also stars Paz Vega and Oscar Jaenada.

Last year the star bowed out as his other famous alter ego, Rocky Balboa, in Creed II. He is rumoured to be returning to The Expendables film series though, for the franchise’s fourth movie.

The Cannes Film Festival runs from 14 to 25 May.

Jennifer Flavin Stallone has inspired husband Sylvester Stallone to embrace skincare products.

The actress and model is in the process of unveiling her new Serious Skincare line via the home shopping site Evine, and she reveals her family enjoys using her products.

The 50 year old, who has been married to the Rocky star, the father of her three daughters, for 21 years has encouraged those in her household to use items like face masks to solve skincare problems and enhance a healthy glow.

“Somebody always has a green or white face mask on in our house,” she tells Us Weekly. “We are always walking around like that and it’s funny because I have a product called Dry Lo that helps dry out pimples and every night everyone is walking around with pink dots all over their faces and no one questions it. It’s just the normal thing in our house.”

She also shares her husband is surprisingly open minded when it comes to trying new products.

“Sly is always willing and ready to try any mask, eye cream, de-puffing or lifting cream. It’s a lot of fun because he’s all game,” she says.

The actor has also had a small role in the development of his wife’s new collection.

“He also helps out with naming some of our products, because obviously he’s a writer, so he comes up with great little names for some of the newest products we’re launching,” she notes.

The couple’s daughters have also had an input: “We are always talking about skincare and makeup ideas and it’s fun because I get to know the new and younger generation’s ideas of what’s popular and hip…,” she adds. “They (daughters) are always on the cutting edge of what’s out there and what’s working and what’s not.”

Michael B. Jordan keen to make more Creed movies

Michael B. Jordan wants to make more Creed movies in a bid to create a legacy similar to the Rocky franchise.

The actor reprises his role as Adonis Creed – the son of boxer Apollo Creed from the original Rocky movies – in Creed II, and he has now revealed that when he first discussed doing the 2015 movie, with Creed and Black Panther director Ryan Coogler, he envisaged working on a series of sequels.

Speaking at a Q&A held at the BFI Southbank on Wednesday night (28Nov18) alongside his co-stars Tessa Thompson, Dolph Lundgren, Florian Munteanu, Brigitte Nielsen, and Creed II helmer Steven Caple Jr., Michael shared that he is ready to do another instalment and would consider doing even more movies.

“I would do a Creed III,” he confirmed, when asked by the director if he was up for doing another flick.

“I mean do y’all wanna see a Creed III?” the 31-year-old then questioned the audience, who burst into a round of applause.

Michael, a virtual unknown in Hollywood prior to the release of the critically acclaimed 2013 movie Fruitvale Station, then pondered the possibility of the film turning into a franchise like Sylvester Stallone’s hugely successful Rocky series.

“We hadn’t even started shooting Fruitvale Station yet – I think we were in pre-production for that. And Ryan was like, ‘Hey man, I’m thinking about doing this story about Apollo Creed’s son… do you wanna play him?’ And I was like, ‘Hey man cool let’s do it.’

“In my brain, I started thinking about it. I was like, ‘OK well how many Rocky films was there? Alright well, we could deal with a lot of Creeds if it works so it was something I thought about,’” the star admitted. “I knew that (if it was a) success it was something I would be willing to do. So yeah I’m down.”

Tessa, who plays Adonis’ musician girlfriend Bianca in the franchise, weighed in with ideas for a potential movie title too.

“Yes. Like Creed III – Redemption,” she joked, before teasing her co-star Michael’s idea for the title of Creed II. “It could’ve been Creed II: The Big Payback… It was a bad pitch.”

Michael B. Jordan has teamed up with designers at Nike to create a special clothing line in conjunction with his new boxing movie Creed II.

The Black Panther star teased the Nike x Adonis Creed Collection, named after his character in the Rocky franchise film, on Instagram on Monday night (12Nov18), when he posted a snap of himself wearing a sleeveless grey T-shirt with “Creed” printed across the chest, and Nike’s red swoosh logo on the left breast.

“Power. Legacy. Purpose,” read the caption. “Amidst all of my Training, I kept this in mind and wanted to give you a piece of that.

@NikeTraining x Adonis Creed collection.”

The new line is set to launch on Thursday (15Nov18), ahead of the release of Creed II next week (21Nov18).

The movie is the follow-up to 2015’s Creed, in which Jordan was introduced as the son of champion fighter Apollo Creed, played by Carl Weathers, who initially faced off with Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky Balboa in the original Rocky release in 1976.

Apollo featured in each sequel until he was killed off in 1985’s Rocky IV during a bout with Dolph Lundgren’s Ivan Drogo, leading his son Adonis to avenge his death in the new Creed II, as he takes on Ivan’s kid, Viktor Drogo, played by Florian Munteanu.

The news of an official Nike range shouldn’t come as much of a surprise for fans of the franchise as sportswear giant bosses enjoyed heavy product placement throughout Creed, with Adonis often dressing head-to-toe in Jordan Brand apparel and Air Jordan sneakers – a style he continues to favour in the forthcoming sequel.

Sylvester Stallone has launched a new production company named after his most famous character, Rocky Balboa.

The 71-year-old is planning to develop a movie about Jack Johnson, the first African American heavyweight champion, under his new Balboa Productions banner.

News of his new venture comes after Stallone earned Johnson a posthumous pardon from U.S. President Donald Trump last week (ends25May18). The late athlete was convicted of violating the Mann Act, which made it illegal to transport women across state lines for “immoral” reasons, by an all-white jury in 1913.

Stallone led a campaign requesting Trump use his presidential power to exonerate the late sports star, who died in 1946, and the actor joined the President in the Oval Office on Thursday (24May18), as he officially signed the pardon.

Johnson is widely regarded as one of the greatest boxers of all time, as he held the heavyweight championship belt for seven years despite a string of white opponents, each dubbed ‘the great white hope’, attempting to dethrone him. His 1910 fight against former champion James Jeffries was once dubbed The Fight of the Century.

The sportsman served 10 months in prison following a conviction many view as racially motivated – as his success, extravagant lifestyle and marriages to white women caused uproar at the time.

It is unclear when the film will go into production with Stallone currently busy filming Creed 2.

Meanwhile, Stallone has entered Balboa Productions into a multi-year deal with bosses at Starlight Culture Entertainment to develop feature films.
