Ruby Rose has teamed up with Crocs to launch a Pride-themed collection.

The Just Love capsule line consists of a pair of mismatched Classic Bae Clogs that are emblazoned with a multi-coloured marbling effect unique to each shoe, and also feature removable black laces embroidered with the word ‘Pride’, and a chunky 2.4-inch sole.

The Orange Is the New Black actress announced the news on Instagram, and also revealed that the team at Crocs will be donating to the organisation GLAAD, which works to promote and support the LGBTQ+ community.

“I’ve been incredibly excited these past few months to design another shoe with @Crocs! While Just Love is a collaboration celebrating Pride, the message of equality and acceptance is one that resonates across movements and communities,” Ruby wrote, alongside a snap of her sitting on a wall wearing the shoes.

“In honour of this partnership, we’ve made a donation to @GLAAD, a leading media advocacy organisation working to accelerate LGBTQ acceptance. Always lead with love and #ComeAsYouAre,” she added.

The shoes are available to purchase online, and are priced at $70 (£56).

Designers at Crocs have also launched a pair of rainbow-striped sandals and clogs as part of the 2020 Pride collection.

Back in October, Ruby teamed up with the shoe brand to release a pair of ’90s-inspired white clogs, which featured cassette tape and boombox charms.

Ruby Rose has unveiled a unique new buzzcut hairstyle.

While holed up at home amid the coronavirus lockdown, the Batwoman actress has been experimenting with all sorts of hairstyles, including tiny pigtails and a mullet.

However, she took to Instagram on Thursday to share that she had decided to shave her entire head, apart from one small braid on the right side of her head.

“Slipped.. fell on a shaver..,” she wrote alongside a selfie.

Ruby also uploaded a TikTok video showing her posing in front of a mirror with a short crop featuring purple highlights, before hitting a light switch and appearing with her new buzzcut.

The Australian star’s latest post quickly racked up over 260,000 likes and thousands of comments, with actress Lucy Hale and stylist Brad Goreski both offering their approval.

However, Ruby’s hairdresser Riawna Capri appeared to be a little surprised.

“You. Look. Stunning. But…now I’m legitimately double whammed out of a job,” she joked.

Elsewhere, another fan commented: “That must have felt so good to shave it all off. New beginnings- out with the old, in with whatever this next weird chapter holds for all of us,” and the 34-year-old simply replied: “Freedom.”

Ruby is no stranger to experimenting with her hair and previously shared in an interview with Allure that she regularly takes to the Internet to get inspiration for her looks.

“When I’m getting ready for an event, I literally just do this,” she shared. “I go onto my computer, I steal all the looks from my favourite people.”

Millie Bobby Brown has won an award from officials at People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) for her vegan-friendly beauty line.

The Stranger Things actress unveiled her Florence by Mills collection earlier this year, with the range of skincare and make-up products aimed at teenagers and young people.

All products, including the Zero Chill Face Mist, Swimming Under the Eye Gel Pads, and Like a Light Skin Tint, are cruelty-free and Vegan Action certified, and now, Millie has been awarded one of PETA’s Libby Awards in recognition of her advocacy of animal rights.

“Brown’s skincare and make-up line, Florence by Mills – whose products contain no animal ingredients and are never tested on animals – earned her the award for Best Side Hustle for Animals,” a PETA representative commented.

In addition, singer Billie Eilish was presented with the Best Voice for Animals award for her promotion of a vegan lifestyle and for posting about instances of animal cruelty on her Instagram page, and Fuller House actor Juan Pablo Di Pace was named as the Brightest Onscreen Star for Animals after he starred in a PETA campaign urging people to avoid circus performances involving animals.

“Billie Eilish, Millie Bobby Brown, and Juan Pablo Di Pace are showing the world how easy it is to help animals by making kind choices in what we eat, what we wear, and how we entertain ourselves,” added PETA senior director of youth programmes, Marta Holmberg. “PETA is recognising them for using their star power to make the world a better place for all species.”

Other 2019 nominees included vegan musicians A$AP Rocky and sisters Chloe and Halle Bailey, as well as Hollywood stars Ruby Rose, Kat Graham, and Harley Quinn Smith.

Ruby Rose has been tapped as the new face of clothing label G-Star Raw.

The Australian actress and TV presenter is known for her ability to effortlessly mix designer garments with high-street items, and always turns heads whenever she steps out onto the red carpet.

Now, Ruby has been announced as the latest brand ambassador for G-Star, the Dutch brand known for its raw denim and military uniform-inspired apparel.

“I’ve always been a fan of G-Star, their attitude really aligns with my passion and respect for our planet,” the 33-year-old said in a statement. “In this specific campaign, I love how G-Star motivates us to embrace who we are and feel confident in doing so. Denim has a magical way of attributing to that confidence.”

Ruby is fronting G-Star’s spring/summer 2019 campaign, which will officially launch on Monday (15Apr19). In the black and white images, The Meg star is seen posing in items including a raw denim jacket with high collar, black skinny jeans, and a lighter denim top.

Regarding the partnership, a G-Star spokesperson described Ruby as a natural fit for the brand.

“A notable name and the perfect embodiment of what G-Star stands for is Australian actress, model and presenter Ruby Rose,” they shared. “Understanding the missed opportunity in simply fitting in, Ruby teamed up with the denim brand to celebrate all those who know they were born to stand out. The campaign solidifies this feeling in their tagline, by inviting everyone to join and celebrate what sets them apart: ‘It’s you. Own it.'”

Ruby is following in the footsteps of former G-Star campaign stars including Liv Tyler, Jaden Smith, and Clemence Poesy.

Ruby Rose has invested in herb-powered drinks brand REBBL.

The John Wick: Chapter 2 actress will also be serving as an advisor to the beverage company, which is known for making organic, super herb elixirs.

Ruby joins REBBL on its mission to make adaptogens (plants or herbs that support your adrenal system) more accessible to all through nourishing, functional drinks.

“To me, it’s not only imperative that people grasp the efficacious and functional power of adaptogens and super herbs, but that they learn about REBBL’s impact story – discovering and understanding why, when, how, and where REBBL sources its certified organic ingredients from,” she said in a statement. “REBBL is far more than a company or a brand, it’s a human rights movement, and I am humbled to play a role in this journey.”

Together they will also co-create a future without human trafficking alongside REBBL’s non-profit partner, Not For Sale.

The 32-year-old Australian star, who is currently playing Batwoman in a new TV series, has been a fan of REBBL’s offerings since discovering the drinks at her local Whole Foods Market. She was so impressed, she contacted bosses directly to ask if she could get involved.

“Ruby is the perfect, most harmonious fit for our brand and company,” Sheryl O’Loughlin, REBBL chief executive officer, gushed. “Not only is she a plant-based super-herb-loving rebel, but she is an authentic advocate for social justice and is truly REBBL-hearted in her approach to work, philanthropy, and life. She is a savvy business person who wants to share her passion for the transformational power of plants with the rest of the world.”

A sequel for Jason Statham’s The Meg is in the early stages of development.

Directed by Jon Turteltaub, the sci-fi action thriller was released in August (18) and followed a group of scientists led by the British actor’s character as they encounter a 75-foot-long (23-metre) megalodon shark while on a rescue mission at the floor of the Pacific Ocean.

The Meg has grossed over $527 million (£409 million) at the worldwide box office, and in spite of mixed reviews from critics, executive producer Catherine Xujun Ying has indicated that a follow-up is in the works.

“That is definitely the plan,” she said of the potential for The Meg to be expanded into a franchise during a chat as part of the U.S.-China Entertainment Summit in Los Angeles earlier this week (begs29Oct18), according to Variety. “It’s still in the very early stages, but we’re working on it. We’re trying to keep it secret at this time.”

The original Meg film, also featuring Li Bingbing, Rainn Wilson, Ruby Rose, Winston Chao, and Cliff Curtis, was loosely based on the 1997 book Meg: A Novel of Deep Terror by Steve Alten.

There are several other stories in the novel series, with The Meg producer Belle Avery picking up the film rights to all of the books. In addition, filmmaker Turteltaub commented that he received a lot of negativity surrounding the film before it was even released.

“We were being laughed at by a lot of people for making this movie. Before it came out, the tracking was horrible. They were saying this is a huge mistake, Warner Brothers has blown it, China is done,” he sighed.

The Meg 2 is yet to be officially greenlit by executives at Warner Bros., or have any screenwriters attached.

Previously, Statham said that he would be up for a sequel if there was an appetite from moviegoers.

“I think it’s like anything in this day and age – if it makes money, there’s obviously an appetite to make more money,” he told Entertainment Weekly in April. “And if it doesn’t do well, they’ll soon sweep it under the carpet. But that’s the way Hollywood works. Everyone tries to make a good film, and it lies in the hands of the audience.”

Law Roach: ‘My clients have conviction in their clothes’

Stylist Law Roach’s A-list clientele don’t care what people say about their wardrobe choices.

Style trailblazers Zendaya, Celine Dion and Ruby Rose are all on his roster, with Law helping each star establish themselves as a force to be reckoned with on the red carpet.

Talking to The Guardian, Law explained of his approach to styling: “You want to play, and you want to take risks. My clients also don’t care what people say.”

Case in point is 22-year-old Zendaya’s 2016 Grammy Awards vibe.

“We went to the Grammys after David Bowie had just passed, and she wore a tuxedo and a mullet in homage. You’ve got to be a strong girl to do that on the red carpet,” he praised. “You have to have conviction to say, ‘I like this, and I think I look cool, and f**k you to everybody who doesn’t.’ I think all my girls have an element of ‘f**k you’ in them.”

Law is also the man behind The Greatest Showman star’s 2015 Oscars outfit, a look which prompted TV presenter Giuliana Rancic to comment that Zendaya, who wore a cream silk Vivienne Westwood dress and her hair in dreadlocks, looked like she smelled of “patchouli oil. Or weed”.

Giuliana’s throwaway remark led to a public outcry, which America’s Next Top Model judge Law is certain helped to change the conversation around black hair.

“What’s appropriate for black hair at the Oscars. What’s appropriate for black hair in the workplace. That story got billions of impressions, and I believe it did help to bring about change,” he said.

Actress Ruby Rose almost drowned while filming underwater scenes for new shark movie The Meg because her “cool” shoes kept pulling her under.

The John Wick: Chapter 2 star portrays a marine biologist in Jason Statham’s new sci-fi/fantasy thriller, but Ruby admits she had a close call during one rescue scene – and it’s all because of her choice of footwear.

“I had chosen these shoes with little holes in them, ’cause I thought it looked cool,” the Australian recalled on morning show Live with Kelly and Ryan. “So every time I was vertical (underwater), I would just sink because my shoes filled up with water, and I’m trying to get back on the boat…”

It didn’t help that Ruby chose to stay in character during the desperate scene as she thought it “could be a great take” – so filmmaker Jon Turteltaub was completely unaware that she was actually struggling to stay afloat in the giant tank.

“I’m screaming, like, ‘Help! Help!’ and doing the whole drowning thing (for the cameras) and the director just thought I was doing an amazing job and didn’t wanna cut!” she smiled.

It was only when Ruby started to really get pulled deep under the surface that divers had to be sent in to help.

“I literally had my last (shot), trying to hold on (to the boat), and then I just sunk,” she chuckled. “I drank a lot of that tank water… Then the divers helped me up and I got back on the boat and spewed (threw) up!”

The Meg, which also stars Rainn Wilson, opens in the U.S. this week (10Aug18).

Paris Jackson has dyed her hair a warm watermelon pink shade.

The Gringo actress is quickly building up a reputation for her bohemian-inspired personal style and often changes her hair colour, having previously rocked platinum blonde and peach tints.

Now, Paris has visited celebrity hairstylist Riawna Capri at Nine Zero One Salon in Los Angeles and opted for a much more dramatic red shade with some rose gold highlights.

“@ParisJackson rockin’ a new hue for Summer: #WatermelonShine #lovethischick #901girl #ninezeroone #cutcolorstyle #mereecapri,” the hair expert wrote alongside a photo of Paris posing in front of a concrete wall.

Paris, the only daughter of late music icon Michael Jackson, often drops by Nine Zero One when she’s in need of some fresh colour and visited the salon in April (18) for peach toned highlights and had her hair styled into beachy waves.

“This is not a filter, this is #PeachyParis looking like a Bali Sunrise#lovethisgirl @ParisJackson#CutColorStyle,” Riawna captioned a snap of Paris at the time.

Riawna has a number of celebrity clients and recently worked with Ruby Rose, Ashlee Simpson and Nina Dobrev.

In addition, she also transformed Julianne Hough’s ruby red strands back to her signature blonde colour last month.

Taking to social media, the hair colourist described the Dancing with the Stars judge’s new blonde as a “honeysuckle” shade and stated that she relied on Joico’s Colour Intensity Eraser to get the perfect look.

“Red to Blonde is an all-day affair, breakfast and lunch and hopefully not dinner. When you do a colour correction like this, focus on your client, book out the day for her. When you have time on your side, everything else is a breeze. 7 hours of great conversation and lots of laughs, Kinda makes me want to do colour corrections more!!! (SIKE!),” she commented.

Jon Turteltaub: ‘Ruby Rose is a tattooed sweetheart’

The Meg director Jon Turteltaub was pleasantly surprised with actress/DJ Ruby Rose when she showed up to shoot, because the Australian was nothing like he’d imagined.

The filmmaker feared the tattooed Orange is the New Black star would be trouble, but quickly learned you should never judge a book by its cover.

“Ruby is not what I thought she was like,” Jon tells WENN. “When your first impression is someone covered in tats in a female prison (Orange Is The New Black), you have a certain impression. Then I find out she’s gentle and patient and really kind and really sweet – but not at times, as we say of some famous people, all the time.”

And Rose had a blast working with the man behind the hits National Treasure and Phenomenon on the latest shark disaster movie.

“It was a blast,” she says, revealing the shoots really tested her swimming ability.

“I’m a fairly strongish swimmer but it does make a difference when you have clothes on and the wetsuit underneath it and shoes that filled with water… Every time I took my shoes off there was water in there and I realised that’s why it was so hard.

“For me, the diving training was the most tricky, because I have a mild fear of heights and when we got to the highest one (dive), that was terrifying… Also, the New Zealand weather was so unpredictable, we could go out in the boats and have terrible weather and not be able to shoot the scene.

“On one of the days that we insisted on going out on the ocean, there was this family of dolphins that just would not go away. They were doing this amazing display of jumping out of the water and being so beautiful. I’m like, ‘Isn’t this amazing?’, and Jon was like, ‘No! There aren’t supposed to be dolphins in the shot, because then we wouldn’t have the megalodon (shark)!’ Good point!”
