Stranger Things actress Sadie Sink was inspired to adopt a vegan diet after hanging out with clean-eating Woody Harrelson and his family.

The 17-year-old chose to give up meat at the age of 13, but it was only after working alongside The Hunger Games star in 2017’s The Glass Castle that she decided to ditch all animal products from her plate.

“We did The Glass Castle together and I was already vegetarian, but just kind of being around him and spending time with his family, I was just like, ‘You know what? I could do this,'” she explained on U.S. news show Access Hollywood Live.

Sadie added to Elle.com, “His daughter and I had a three-day sleepover, and the entire time I was with them I felt good about what I was eating, and not like I was missing anything.”

She has since tried to encourage her own loved ones to eat less meat by perfecting her recipe for a butternut squash and spinach lasagna.

“It’s my dad’s favourite thing,” she said.

Woody previously downplayed his influence on his castmate’s eating habits, noting that while he’ll share his insights if he’s asked, he refuses to be the guy who attempts to change his co-stars.

“I don’t find that people come around to my way of thinking,” he told WENN in 2017. “It’s very hard to talk someone out of a burger if they like burgers. I don’t try to do it but if people ask me about dairy I’ll go on a little dissertation, I’ll get on the stump.

“Otherwise I don’t think there’s any value in lecturing someone about what they’re eating even though I watch people who are literally eating themselves into an early grave and I just want to say, ‘You should not be doing that. Don’t put that into your mouth!’

June Ambrose has been slammed online for asking if the late Kate Spade was attending the 2019 Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Awards on Monday night.

The stylist and costume designer hosted the red carpet live stream for the star-studded event held at the Brooklyn Museum, and during a chat with influencer Hannah Bronfman, asked about her pastel floral-print dress from the Kate Spade New York label and whether the designer was present.

“Are you here with Kate? Is she here?” asked Ambrose, proceeding to look around the venue for Spade. “Did you come before her or did she skip by me?”

A stunned Bronfman then replied, “Well, the team from Kate is here, we’re four,” and referred to Kate Spade New York creative director Nicola Glass.

Spade, who founded her fashion and accessories brand in 1993, committed suicide in June 2018. She was aged 55.

Accordingly, several viewers quickly took to Twitter to criticise Ambrose for her flub and insensitive comments.

“This girl is hosting the CFDA live stream needs to be fired. How do you not know kate spade passed away like whattttt and she knows nothing about these people,” one user wrote, while another noted, “@juneAmbrose did you just ask Hannah if Kate Spade was present? What were you thinking!?”

A third added: “June asked Hannah if Kate Spade was coming to the #CFDAAwards – Maybe it slipped her mind in the moment?”

Representatives for Ambrose and the CFDA have not yet commented on the error. However, the host appeared to refer to the mistake during her sign-off at the conclusion of the live stream.

“It has been my honour and pleasure to host, screw up and cause chaos tonight on this carpet for you,” she stated. “I hope you enjoyed and learned as much as I did.”

Glass also outfitted Beanie Feldstein, Sadie Sink, and Molly Gordon for the event.

Finn Wolfhard has been unveiled as the new face of Saint Laurent.

The 16-year-old actor, who stars as Mike Wheeler in the cult-favourite Netflix series Stranger Things, has been snapped up to front the Fall/Winter 2019 campaign, the brand’s creative director Anthony Vaccarello announced on Instagram.

Wolfhard, who is also the frontman of indie rock band Calpurnia, appears in the slick campaign by photographer David Sims, dressed in a skinny two-piece suit styled with high-shine leather boots. In another image, the It star is seen wearing a striped shirt with a tie, leather jacket, and sunglasses.

The Canadian-born actor follows in the footsteps of Keanu Reeves and Travis Scott, who have both starred in campaigns for luxury French fashion house Saint Laurent, and joins the list of Stranger Things cast members who have been championed by the fashion industry since the show debuted in 2016.

Actress Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven in the show, appeared in several campaigns during Raf Simons‘ time at Calvin Klein, while her co-star Sadie Sink, who plays Max, walked in Miu Miu’s Resort 2019 show. And Dacre Montgomery, who stars as Max’s older brother Billy, was recently tapped to front H&M’s new Stranger Things collection – a line filled with nods to the sci-fi series.

Season three of Stranger Things will debut on Netflix on 4 July (19).

Emerging actresses Julia Garner, Sadie Sink, and Kiki Layne are headlining a campaign for the late Kate Spade’s brand.

The designer, who died in June (18), continues to make her mark on the fashion world as her legacy lives on with the help of Kate Spade New York’s Creative Director Nicola Glass.

Glass unveiled her first runway show for the label in September, and on Thursday (17Jan19) she debuted the first series of images from the latest collection.

Ozark and Dirty John star Garner appears in the ads, along with Stranger Things cast member Sink and If Beale Street Could Talk actress Layne.

The young women appear in colourful dresses, complemented by the company’s signature handbags.

“I was thrilled to work with Julia Garner, Sadie Sink, and Kiki Layne on our Spring 2019 campaign,” Glass tells InStyle magazine. “These three women are such talented and accomplished actresses, and truly embody our vision of optimistic femininity.

“As a brand, we encourage women to be the heroines of their own story, and these three women are truly the heroines of their own stories. The brand is a celebration of women across time zones, generations, and style creeds, who are living their individual lives to the fullest and believe that, together, everything is possible.”

In a fitting tribute to Spade, photographer Tim Walker, who worked with the designer in the 1990s, collaborated with Glass on the campaign photos. Walker has also signed on to shoot ads for the label for the rest of the year (19).

Spade’s work was also celebrated in November (18), when a pop-up shop dedicated to her accessories brand, Frances Valentine, opened in New York.
