Sarah Hyland has clapped back at a social media troll who claimed she had a spray tan for the 2020 Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards.

The Modern Family actress looked stunning in a floral Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini gown, which featured a high-low skirt, at the celebrity-studded ceremony on Sunday night.

Sarah paired the outfit with silver heels and had her brunette hair slicked back into a chic low ponytail, and while posing for photographers on the red carpet, showed off the deep tan that she had topped up during a holiday to Mexico earlier this month.

The 29-year-old shared a series of snaps of her at the event on Instagram and joked that she had a blanket on hand if she got cold.

“If my legs got cold, I had an extra built-in blanket. Thanks to the village that put all of this together I felt like a goddess last night,” she wrote.

However, one irate follower threw shade at the star, and blasted her for allegedly faking her tan.

“The spray tan is way too much,” they posted.

The comment promoted Sarah to quickly reply: “I’ll tell the actual sun to go easy on me next time I see it…”

However, her fiance, former The Bachelorette alum Wells Adams, had no complaints about her show-stopping look, and simply commented, “Dear lord”, alongside a drooling emoji.

“Just. Every. Thing,” Sarah’s longtime friend and fellow actress Vanessa Hudgens wrote, while Brandi Cyrus added: “Soooo gorgeous!!!!!!!”

Sarah Hyland has been tapped to front a new campaign for No B.S. Skin Care.

The Modern Family actress takes serious measures when it comes to her health, having been diagnosed with kidney dysplasia as a child and undergone two kidney transplants.

Now, Sarah has teamed with bosses at skincare brand No B.S. Skin Care to educate people about the importance of using clean, non-toxic formulas.

“Staying healthy is important to me, and that means taking control of what I put in and on my body. My lifestyle detox started with clean eating, but when I realised how many toxins were hidden in the products I used every day, I knew I had to make a big switch,” she said. “No B.S. resonated with me because their products are made with good-for-you ingredients that actually improve skin health. My No B.S. regimen has four powerful basics you can use every day to clean up your skincare game. My hope is that everyone who tries it will feel so good in their skin that they don’t mind going make-up-free.”

As part of her daily regimen, Sarah uses No B.S. Skin Care’s Gentle Foaming Cleanser, Purifying Facial Toner, Vitamin C + E Serum, and the Day + Night Hyaluronic Cream.

All of the formulas are made without harmful ingredients like parabens, phthalates, sulphates, synthetics, and toxic petrochemicals.

Accordingly, Diana Briceno, chief executive officer of No B.S. Skin Care, is thrilled to have the 29-year-old promoting the brand.

“Sarah’s story really resonated with our team and our brand because like so many of our customers, she realized that what she ate, drank, and used on her skin could contribute to toxins building up her body,” commented Diana. “At No B.S., we love sharing stories like Sarah’s to bring awareness to the importance of clean beauty ingredients and products.”

Taylor accessorised with Misahara hoop earrings and rings by Irene Neuwirth, VRAM, and Emily P Wheeler.

“If you’re out there and you’re being really hard on yourself right now for something that’s happened, or messing up or feeling embarrassed, it’s normal. That’s what going to happen to you in life. No one gets through unscathed. We’re all going to have a few scratches on us,” she said.

Sarah Hyland has responded to fans comparing photos of her and Emily Ratajkowski in similar dresses.

The Modern Family actress took to Instagram on Monday to post a side-by-side snap of herself in a black dress with cutout detailing which was taken over a decade ago, and a picture of the actress/model sporting a near identical version made by Michael Kors to the 2019 Tony Awards.

“The sisterhood of the travelling Tony dress. Spotted on Sarah Hyland in 2007. @emrata Spotted in 2019 wearing it 100000 per cent BETTER,” she captioned the snap.

While Sarah meant for the post to be playful, a number of Instagram users began making comparisons between the two women, and she was later forced to add to her caption.

“I can’t believe I’m editing this. I’m NOT comparing. This is supposed to be a funny post. PLEASE do NOT say anything rude about ‘who looks better’ It’s not even the same dress,” the 28-year-old wrote.

Accordingly, a number of the star’s followers showed support for her statement, with one user writing, “Welcome to 2019 where we have to explain our jokes. Ohhh what a time to be alive,” and another commenting, “You just both look amazing #womensupportingwomen.”

A third added: “You both look gorgeous!”

In addition, Emily also caught wind of the post and noted in the comments section: “You look amazing,” along with a string of red heart emojis.

This is not the first time Sarah has had to defend an Instagram post. Last year, she was accused of appearing too thin in a bikini selfie by several trolls, and later took to her Instagram Stories to highlight how she abides by a healthy diet and actually eats a lot of carbs.

“I’ve been reading some of your DMs (direct messages) and so many of you are like, ‘Girl, you fine but like, eat some bread!’ So I would like to put in a request for anyone who is concerned about my bread consumption to send to (boyfriend) Wells Adams, because he is the sole person who knows about how much bread I consume on a daily basis. Thanks!” she insisted.

Carrie Underwood went for beaded glamour as she extended her lead as the most honoured CMT Awards artist at Wednesday night’s prize-giving.

Taking home her 19th and 20th awards at the annual country music bash, winning for Female Video of the Year and Video of the Year, Carrie made sure all eyes were on her in a short, embellished dress by Michael Cinco.

The fully beaded outfit featured a low-cut neckline and long sleeves, with the Love Wins singer matching it with sparkly Rene Caovilla shoes.

Her fellow country star Kelsea Ballerini opted for full-on glitz in a white shimmering gown by Blumarine, which she paired with Jimmy Choo shoes, Simone Rocha earrings, Beladora and Djula rings, and an Edie Parker clutch.

It wasn’t just the country stars who turned out for the 2019 CMTs, held at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville; Hollywood actresses Kate Bosworth, Sarah Hyland and Michelle Monaghan also graced the red carpet.

Still Alice star Kate turned to one of her favourite designers, Prabal Gurung, to dress her. She stunned in a green sequin number, which was reminiscent of old Hollywood glamour. The strapless gown fell to the floor and featured a bow to cinch in the waist. She added drop earrings by David Webb to finish the look.

Modern Family’s Sarah went vampy in a chest-baring black mini by Redemption, with exaggerated shoulder ruffles, while Michelle looked sleek in a red and black design by Peter Dundas’ namesake label.

Sarah Hyland used to shun skincare advice because she didn’t think it was necessary.

The Modern Family star made the comments during an interview for People magazine, and confessed that she only started caring for her skin and paying attention to what she put into her body in recent years.

“I never really paid attention to skincare at all,” the 28-year old revealed. “I didn’t think that it was necessary because it wasn’t at that time. But as I got older, you start to be like, ‘Oh, I should probably be taking care of myself more and eating more greens than fast food and using moisturisers instead of not and really investing in myself’.”

The star has tackled her fair share of health problems, and has spoken publicly about her endometriosis struggle and her kidney dysplasia, a condition in which the organs do not form properly while in the womb, diagnosis.

Speaking with the publication, the actress reflected that she uses workouts and exercise to help maintain control in her life, and claimed that focusing on her physical health has helped her to boost her overall mental and emotional wellbeing.

“It really is this balance of mental, emotional and physical reality,” she shared. “So if you’re feeling mentally and emotionally drained, or if you are in a very dark space, you have to pull the string on the other side to lift you up out of that. (Working out) helps a lot.”

Sarah Hyland is clapping back at social media critics who took aim at her for wearing shape-shifting Spanx to a post Oscars bash.

The Modern Family star attended the Vanity Fair party following the Academy Awards on Sunday (24Feb19) in a magenta Zac Posen gown and shared an image of herself at the event on Instagram, revealing she was wearing two pairs of the slimming undergarment.

“#Funfact I’m wearing TWO pairs of Spanx,” she wrote on the photo sharing site on Tuesday (26Feb19). “Why diet? When you can just hide it!”

The candid disclosure sparked outrage among some of her followers, who slammed the 28 year old for trying to make her already thin frame appear smaller.

“You’re a size -00, why Spanx? I hope this is a joke,” one follower wrote.

“This is why so many girls starve themselves… saying ‘why diet?’ when you’re already super skinny? Way to go @sarahhyland,” shared another.

“I think she has a body image problem… for someone that is always in bikinis and understandably is underweight due to her illness… why is she wearing 2 spanx? Or even sharing it? So weird,” another comment read.

The actress later tweeted and then deleted: “When you have two kidney transplants and are on steroids for life get back to me.”

Since her surgeries, Hyland has had to take the drug prednisone, which causes swelling. Following the flood of responses to her Spanx post, one fan asked for advice about dealing with the body image issues that arise when taking the drug.

“I’m not going to sugarcoat it,” Hyland wrote back. “It’s something I deal with on a daily basis. The mood swings, watching my sugar intake, self confidence, etc. I have to actively rewire my brain to think positively because prednisone can really spread negativity in to every facet of your life.”
