Selena Gomez shared candid details of the mental health struggles she faced during lockdown.

The 28-year-old singer/actress said she’s learned a lot about herself while in self-isolation at home in the U.S. during the global Covid-19 pandemic.

“It’s not easy for anyone to be walking through what we’re walking through. It’s not normal, and it’s affecting people, specifically with mental health, and people who could have never thought about things they’re thinking about now. And it’s really confusing,” Selena explained, after being asked how quarantine had affected her.

“It was hard, but I tried to find what I needed to get me through it. I have great friends and I see a therapist and keep my mind positive,” the Wolves hitmaker shared. “I’ve learned so much about myself. I’ve learned more about my country than I ever have from school or anything. So I’ve been very grateful for that as well.”

The Hands to Myself singer made the comments while promoting her new cooking series, Selena + Chef, during WarnerMedia’s virtual Television Critics Association press tour.

And the former Disney Channel star said that the show, which will see her cooking dishes with the help of professional chefs, has given her some respite during the the tumultuous pandemic.

“I really thought this would be something lighthearted because I was getting, definitely, down. And I know that a lot’s going on,” Selena added. “Of course, there are more important things going on, but this was an opportunity to make something that could make people smile.”

Selena Gomez is excited to finally launch her new make-up line, Rare Beauty.

The actress/singer revealed that her debut cosmetics collection will be available from 3 September, and she’s overjoyed that her fans will be able to enjoy her “authentic” beauty products.

“I wanted people to feel like make-up is something you can enjoy,” the Hands to Myself hitmaker said in a video shared on Rare Beauty’s Instagram account. “It’s not something that you need. And I felt like that’s kind of who I am. I’m very authentic. I’m very real with my fans, so I’m excited that I got to venture into this.”

Alongside the candid clip, Selena said that she has had “so much fun” creating the collection, and hopes her fans love the products as much as she does.

While details of the products have not yet been revealed, she’s recently been wearing the line’s lipstick and eyeshadow colours, along with a liquid eyeliner.

Back in April, she teased the possibility of 48 shades of foundation, and a non-clumping mascara, in a profile by Amy Schumer for Interview magazine.

“People of my generation have all this pressure to look a certain way, and I wanted to make a line that took away a bit of that pressure. I use real people in the campaigns. I have 48 shades of foundation and concealer. It’s all very clean and easy. I wanted people to feel safe,” Selena explained.

The 28-year-old’s debut beauty brand is named after her recent album, Rare, and she explained that the word is about self-love.

“Rare is such a special word for me because it’s all about eliminating the need for perfection,” the Spring Breakers star shared. “There is so much beauty in imperfection and my hope is that all of you can see that.”

Selena Gomez production The Broken Hearts Gallery is set to be the first major studio release to hit cinemas once they reopen.

Most movie theatres around the world have been closed since mid-March due to the coronavirus pandemic, but over 500 locations have reopened in the U.S., with more permitted to follow this month.

It was expected that Christopher Nolan’s thriller Tenet, starring John David Washington and Robert Pattinson, would be the first major studio film to be released in reopened cinemas on 17 July, but it has now been announced that Sony’s The Broken Hearts Gallery, produced by Gomez, will debut a week before on 10 July.

The romantic comedy follows a brokenhearted New York museum curator who starts collecting objects connected to breakups and writes about it on her blog. It marks Natalie Krinsky’s directorial debut and stars Blockers actress Geraldine Viswanathan, Stranger Things’ Dacre Montgomery, Pitch Perfect’s Utkarsh Ambudkar, and models Suki Waterhouse and Taylor Hill.

“Hearing from more female writers and directors is very much needed. Natalie is a wonderful talent and I am happy to be a part of her debut film,” Gomez said in a statement. “I understand people’s concerns regarding returning to activities we all loved prior to Covid-19. I hope everyone will listen to scientists’ recommendations and consider others’ health and safety while enjoying the movie theatre experience.”

Sony’s Motion Picture Group president Josh Greenstein added, “Now more than ever, The Broken Hearts Gallery will resonate with audiences ready for a feel-good moviegoing experience this summer. We have faith in a theatrical rebound, and we look forward to being there right out of the gate with our exhibition partners’ anticipated reemergence, as – and when – state-by-state safety guidelines are met.”

The thriller Unhinged, starring Russell Crowe, it set to be the first post-lockdown cinema release, with a U.S. opening on 1 July, but The Broken Hearts Gallery is set to be the first major studio release.

Hailey Bieber struggles with the constant scrutiny she receives for her marriage to husband Justin Bieber.

The model married the Yummy hitmaker in 2018, and in a recent chat for their Facebook Watch show, The Biebers on Watch, Hailey admitted it’s “not easy” to deal with the criticism she has received, especially in relation to “comparisons” between herself and Justin’s former partners – including singer Selena Gomez.

When one fan asked how they “manage to be a couple when everyone feels like they have a say in their relationship,” Hailey responded: “Justin knows that I’ve had a really, really hard go, and a really hard time with a lot of the things people say and a lot of the ways that I feel like people have made comparisons and just put me in a position where they’ve made me really feel like less of a woman.”

The blonde beauty went on to confess that always tries to be the better person, as she knows online trolls who criticise her are probably “going through something bad” themselves.

“I think when people have a lot to say or go out of their way to make people feel less than, it is because they are going through something bad. It helps to remind myself that that person is going through something themselves,” the 23-year-old explained.

Hailey also addressed the on-and-off relationship she had with Justin before they tied the knot.

“People think they know what happened between us and our relationship… there’s no possible way they could,” she added.

Hailey and Justin wed in a secret ceremony at a New York courthouse in September 2018, and held a star-studded bash in September last year to celebrate the nuptials.

Selena Gomez is gearing up to make a splash in the celebrity beauty market.

The Lose You to Love Me singer took to Instagram on Tuesday to announce that she will be unveiling Rare Beauty, in conjunction with executives at Sephora, this summer.

Rare Beauty shares the same name as Selena’s third solo studio album, Rare, which dropped last month.

“Guys, I’ve been working on this special project for two years and can officially say Rare Beauty is launching in @sephora stores in North America this summer!” the superstar wrote, alongside a short video introducing the line. “Follow @rarebeauty and become part of our beautiful community. Here’s a tiny sneak. There’s more to share AND I can’t wait.”

In the clip, Selena shows off her new eyeshadow, lipstick and blush, and experiments with make-up sponges.

“Being rare is about being comfortable with yourself. I’ve stopped trying to be perfect. I just want to be me,” the 27-year-old told her followers. “I think Rare Beauty can be more than a beauty brand. I want us all to stop comparing ourselves to each other, and just start embracing our own uniqueness. You’re not defined by a photo, a like or a comment. Rare Beauty isn’t about how other people see you, it’s about how you see yourself.”

Selena’s inspiring message appears to have connected with her 167 million Instagram followers, as within two hours of her announcement, Rare Beauty’s Instagram page had already amassed more than one million fans.

Selena Gomez has had the name of her latest album tattooed on her neck.

The singer released Rare, her third solo studio record, last week, with the album featuring tracks including Lose You to Love Me and Look at Her Now and receiving positive reviews from music critics.

On Thursday, Selena took to Instagram to share that she had decided to have the title inked in small cursive script on the side of her neck.

“Did it again,” she wrote alongside a still image of the tattoo as well as a video of herself looking at the design for the first time.

Selena credited Keith “Bang Bang” McCurdy and the Bang Bang Tattoo parlour in New York City for the body art. Speaking to E! News, Bang Bang explained that the 27-year-old was thrilled with the final result.

“I think she always had her neck in mind so we tried a few different spots but then decided on her neck right under her jaw. After we placed it there she instantly said she ‘loved it,'” he told the outlet. “She felt it would be an easy thing to cover if she ever did an acting job, it would only need a little spot of make-up to cover and that was her only concern with putting it in a prominent place.”

And while a few of Selena’s 166 million Instagram followers were surprised by her choice of placement, the majority had positive remarks about the tattoo.

“I love that tattoo! It’s so powerful and cute at the same time!” one fan posted, while another added: “I love everything about this.”

Selena is no stranger to body art. She also has a music note on her right wrist, the roman numerals for the number 76 on the back of her neck, and the word “sunshine” on her right foot, among others.

Selena Gomez and her younger sister wear “awkward” matching clothes during the Christmas holidays.

The popstar can usually be seen looking glam on the red carpet or in campaigns for her collaboration with sportswear giant Puma, but Christmas is all about keeping cosy and comfortable for Selena, who gets into the holiday spirit by finding matching outfits that she and her six-year-old half-sister Gracie can wear during the festive period.

“I always love knit sweaters – I’m totally that girl. I usually will just wear something comfy, maybe just a dress pant that’s loose,” she told InStyle. “Or, when I’m hanging out with my sister, of course, I want to put on cosy, matching, awkward Christmas stuff. I’ve already bought so many different outfits we can wear together. I feel it’s my time, because when I’m with my family at Christmas, it’s not like I’m not going out to huge fancy dinners or anything. It’s usually just us, tucked away and just having time for ourselves.”

The 27-year-old shared that she places a lot of importance in feeling comfortable and will pick a jacket that feels like a “safety blanket”.

“There are jackets I can almost wear with anything, and it’s like my go-to safety blanket. Whether it’s a nice sweater or a fluffy jacket, something that’s cosy. That tends to be recurring,” Selena joked.

Elsewhere in the interview, the Lose You to Love Me added that she always wears jewellery to complete a look.

“Whether I’m wearing anything from sportswear, to street, or red carpet, I feel like it’s nice to have a little bit (of jewellery). The earrings I have are cheap – not real gold, basically – but it always makes me feel like (I’m going) from casual to something nice,” she explained.

Hailey Bieber dislikes how social media is pitting women against each other and creating “toxic narratives”.

The model is no stranger to finding herself at the centre of headlines alleging she is at war with other famous women, such as her husband Justin Bieber’s ex Selena Gomez.

And in a new interview with British Vogue, Hailey insisted she wants to see changes made to sites such as Instagram and Twitter, to stop the negativity from affecting people’s lives.

“I think social media is a breeding ground for toxicity and people creating false drama between women and trying to put women up against each other and create these narratives that are just… toxic,” she commented. “I think that has to change and that has to stop.

“I think there needs to be more people with platforms coming together and saying to each other, ‘Let’s kill the conversation, let’s kill the fake drama, let’s squash all these things, let’s move on from stuff. Let’s not give people a reason to fuel fire and create drama and being rude to each other.'”

Elsewhere in the interview, Hailey discussed her recent second wedding ceremony with the Sorry hitmaker, calling it the “highlight of my year”.

“I honestly just felt so happy; I was so content. There’s nothing like marrying the love of your life. It’s an indescribable feeling,” the 23-year-old sweetly shared.

The pair have yet to head off on an official honeymoon, but Hailey said their frequent travelling means they’re almost enjoying a constant post-wedding celebration.

“I think we travel enough where it’s kind of a honeymoon all of the time,” she smiled. “Just being with each other, just getting to spend time alone can feel like that. We love to do little trips, we love to go away for the night or the weekend. I love to travel.”

Selena Gomez has unveiled her third collection of athleisurewear for Puma.

The star was named as a brand ambassador for the sportswear giant back in 2018 and has since gone on to release two apparel and footwear lines.

Now, Selena has dropped her latest instalment for the company, with the range featuring versatile gym clothes and sporty footwear.

“This collection with Puma was one of my favourite ones to design,” the 27-year-old said. “I think the final product is beautiful, I feel so confident wearing it and hope everyone does too.”

The Selena Gomez x Puma autumn/winter 2019 collection will be available to purchase around the world on 1 December from select retailers, Puma stores, and the label’s website.

Items come in a colour palette of navy, pink, silver and white, with key footwear pieces including the SR Runner and the updated Cali, an evolution of the classic Puma California.

There is also the roomy SG Woven Jacket, a rugby-inspired piece with simple SG graphics, the SG Woven Pant, leggings, hoodies, and shorts. Accessories include a beanie and backpack.

“Selena and the team had a timeless, scholastic mindset when designing the collection. Still, the main inspiration was Gomez herself, as she always looks for neutral colours, comfortable materials, and versatile pieces,” a Puma representative added.

In addition to her Puma project, Selena is also gearing up to release her third solo studio album. The record is set to be unveiled on 10 January and will include the singles Lose You to Love Me and Look at Her Now.
