Ciara has teased a possible shoe collection after receiving advice from Gianvito Rossi.
The Goodies hitmaker was recently bestowed with the Style Icon Award at the 2019 ACE Awards, and in a new chat, has hinted at a future collaboration with the women’s shoe designer, who is the son of revered Italian footwear master, Sergio Rossi.
Ciara commented that she had met with Gianvito for breakfast, and the pair have been in touch over the past few months.
“It was a sweet morning,” she recalled to Footwear News. “We’ve both been getting to know each other more and I’m a huge fan of his work. It was really fun to talk, and he showed me his next collection.”
The mother-of-two officially graduated from Harvard University’s prestigious four-day intensive Business of Entertainment, Media and Sports course earlier this month, and is looking to evolve her style through her own line in the future.
“You have to know who you are when it comes to fashion and expressing yourself as an artist because that’s a huge part how people remember you,” the 33-year-old insisted. “You want there to be a visual when they think of you.”
And the singer has plans to conquer the fashion world, following in the footsteps of Rihanna and her hugely successful Fenty range.
“I have plans to do a lot in the fashion space. It’s all about timing, but I have been taking meetings, getting mood boards together. When the time is right things will roll out. I can’t wait to get my feet wet and start expressing myself through clothing and fashion,” she explained.
