Romee Strijd and her partner Laurens van Leeuwen are expecting a baby girl.

The Victoria’s Secret Angel announced she was pregnant with her first child on Instagram in May, and over the weekend, the couple hosted an outdoor gender reveal party to find out the sex of their baby.

She posted a video of their loved ones yelling a countdown in Dutch off-camera as her and Laurens stand in a green space, with Laurens holding a metal canister. At the end of the countdown, he pressed a button and pink smoke came billowing out of the canister, announcing they are having a little girl. The friends can be heard squealing with excitement while Romee giggles at their reaction and exchanges a kiss with her beau.

“We can’t wait to meet our little girl,” she wrote in the caption, followed by a love heart emoji.

The 24-year-old’s model friends celebrated the news in the comments, with Karlie Kloss writing “Can’t wait to meet her” with loved-up eye emojis, Devon Windsor simply writing “Amazing” with love heart emojis, and Shanina Shaik adding: “Omg!!!! Little girl!!!!! Congratulations babe!!!!!”

Sara Sampaio, Miranda Kerr, Josephine Skriver, Nadine Leopold, Elsa Hosk, and Chiara Ferragni also commented on the post.

When she announced her pregnancy news in May, the Dutch model revealed that she thought she wouldn’t be able to have a baby after she was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). “Two years ago, I got diagnosed with PCOS after not getting my period for 7 years,” she admitted. “I was devastated because being a mom and starting a family with @laurensvleeuwen is my biggest dream. I was so scared that I would never be able to because I got told it was harder to get babies in a natural way.”

Shanina Shaik gave up boxing classes after her figure started to become “too bulky”.

In a wide-ranging chat with Melissa Wood, creator of the MWH Method, for the latest instalment of her Wellness Wednesdays series on Instagram, the Australian model discussed her everyday fitness regime.

But while Shanina was a big fan of boxing at one point, having been inspired by fellow Victoria’s Secret Angel Adriana Lima to take up the classes, she has since found that other forms of exercise work better for her body type.

“It didn’t work for my body, I got bulky. It wasn’t working and I wasn’t happy. I thought, ‘I’m killing myself in the gym…’ and it plays with your mind again,” the 29-year-old shared. “And then, I learned about Pilates and slow and intense movements. Pilates just makes me super strong, lean, and like I said, it’s not about being skinny… I just like how my body looks when I do Pilates, I see definition, I feel strong.”

Shanina went on to admit that she still has some insecurities about her figure, especially as she does a lot of lingerie and swimwear modelling, but she is doing her best to avoid looking at social media all the time, as she can find looking at idealised images of other people to be triggering.

“You pick yourself apart. It’s not even about modelling, I think women in general, we compete. And social media has a big part of it as well. We look at other women and compare and then we just always think there’s something wrong with us,” she shared.

“We look at our phones and our laptops and we see what we have to do for the day or we compare ourselves. I’m guilty of it, I’m happy for my friends and my girlfriends, whoever it may be, (but when) you’re trying to attain something in life and you see what they’re doing… then you’re like, ‘S**t, I have to scramble to get there.'”

Shanina Shaik has finalised her divorce from DJ Ruckus.

The Australian model and American music star, real name Gregory Andrews, parted ways in June 2019 after one year of marriage, with Shaik filing for divorce a month later.

Now, according to legal papers obtained by TMZ, a Los Angeles judge has now signed off on their settlement, with Shaik and Ruckus to be legally separated on 23 January.

The 28-year-old cited irreconcilable differences in her divorce filing and requested spousal support. It’s not known whether her request was granted.

Meanwhile, Shaik took to Instagram in late November to share that she was dating again following her difficult split.

“Reflecting on this year… I will admit this was the hardest year of my life. I was dealing with the biggest heartache. So many things I wish I could share with all of you, but I choose to keep my personal stories close to my heart and heal. After dealing with a huge loss in my life, I GAVE UP ON LOVE (broken heart emoji). I didn’t want it or believed that a true love could exist,” she wrote alongside a black-and-white snap of her hand holding her new beau’s. “I was broken… You took me by surprise and made me believe that a BEAUTIFUL love exists! It’s kind, supporting, romantic and friendly. You’re my best friend! Throughout my heartache, you stood by me and I’m thankful for you. Thank you for making me believe in love again. I’m thankful I have you… to call you mine.”

Shaik did not name or tag her boyfriend in the message.

Shanina Shaik has poked fun at reflective New Year’s resolutions after a tough 12 months.

The Victoria’s Secret model parted ways with music star DJ Ruckus back in June after one year of marriage, with the Australian beauty filing for divorce a month later.

Yet, the 28-year-old was still able to take a playful dig at those who are sharing their typical New Year’s resolutions on social media, and took to Instagram to mock the reflective posts.

Sharing a meme which featured The Devil Wears Prada’s fictitious editor Miranda Priestley, played by Meryl Streep in the 2006 movie, looking unimpressed, the text read: “Let me guess? You’re going to cut all the toxic people out of your life, go to the gym, make more money, and focus on you in 2020?

“Groundbreaking,” it sarcastically concluded.

Following the breakdown of her marriage, Shanina’s year went from bad to worse when she broke the news that the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which she usually stars in, had been cancelled by bosses at the lingerie brand.

However, she’s been teasing fans on Instagram about a new mysterious man in her life, and previously opened up about how she felt she would never find love again.

“Reflecting on this year… I will admit this was the hardest year of my life. I was dealing with the biggest heartache. So many things I wish I could share with all of you, but I choose to keep my personal stories close to my heart and heal,” the brunette beauty wrote in November, before directly addressing her new beau. “I was broken… You took me by surprise and made me believe that a BEAUTIFUL love exists! It’s kind, supporting, romantic and friendly. You’re my best friend!”

Shanina Shaik has been rejected from casting calls in Europe because of her skin colour.

The model, who has Pakistani, Saudi, and Lithuanian heritage, was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia.

But while Shanina is now one of the most-sought after names in the industry, in an interview for the January 2020 issue of Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, she opened up about the prejudices she has faced since launching her career in 2009.

“I remember going to castings in Europe and getting turned away because of my skin colour,” the 28-year-old recalled. “That was only six years ago… There’s still some jobs I don’t book because I don’t fit into a certain category. I’ve had to bang down so many doors for people to understand and embrace me.”

The Victoria’s Secret Angel went on to explain that she’d had to convince agents and clients to book her for jobs, and even left her home country to try and land more work in New York because she “didn’t look like an average Australian girl”.

“They said I was never going to be a high-fashion model and that I’d never do runways,” she commented. “Agents, clients… they all told me the same thing. I would go to castings and never get the jobs that I wanted, and it really affected me – especially as so much of it was because I look so mixed.”

And while the brunette beauty acknowledges that the fashion business is “moving towards a better future”, she also insisted there is still a long way to go until everyone feels represented and included.

“The fashion industry has to find a voice. Look at Halima Aden – she’s had a huge impact. Beauty doesn’t just have to be one segment or category – it should be international. Why does it matter what colour your skin is? It should matter who you are,” the star added.

The Australian model and the American music star parted ways in June after one year of marriage, with Shaik filing for divorce a month later.

However, Shaik took to Instagram on Thursday morning to upload a Thanksgiving Day post, in which she revealed she is in a new relationship.

“Reflecting on this year… I will admit this was the hardest year of my life. I was dealing with the biggest heartache. So many things I wish I could share with all of you, but I choose to keep my personal stories close to my heart and heal. I’m thankful I have you… to call you mine.”

Shaik did not name or tag her boyfriend in the message. However, she indicated his name begins with the letter ‘P’, as she concluded the post with their initials and a red heart emoji.

The brunette beauty’s social media announcement quickly drew the attention of many of her celebrity pals, with Bianca Balti writing, “You guys are so beautiful together,” and Olivia Culpo adding: “Aw I’m so happy for you my love.”

Slick Woods attended the Puma x Balmain clothing launch on Thursday, shortly after it was revealed she was battling melanoma cancer.

The 23-year-old model, real name Simone Thompson, casually announced that she was undergoing chemotherapy on Instagram on Wednesday and reporters at The Shade Room subsequently claimed she had told them she was suffering from stage three melanoma cancer.

And Slick proved that she wasn’t letting her health battle get her down when she made a public appearance at the launch of fellow model Cara Delevingne’s clothing collaboration with Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing and sportswear giant Puma at Milk Studios in Los Angeles.

Dressed in black trousers, a baseball cap, sneakers and a denim jacket, she styled the look in an interesting way by securing the bottom buttonhole to the top button, exposing her shoulder, midriff, and green mesh vest top.

The launch was also attended by models Alessandra Ambrosio and Shanina Shaik and stars including Amber Heard, Eva Longoria, Bella Thorne, Machine Gun Kelly, and G-Eazy, who all sported pieces from the boxing-inspired collection.

The Savage x Fenty model referred to her medical treatment when she shared a photo of herself sticking out her tongue while out with her boyfriend Micky Munday and some friends.

“How I feel about chemotherapy, shout out to everyone that gotta go through it #atleastimalreadybald,” she wrote in the caption.

As fans expressed their shock at the news and sent their well wishes, Slick shared a picture of a pouting child and urged her followers to “stop treating me like a victim”.

Slick gave birth to a son named Saphir, who she shares with model Adonis Bosso, shortly after walking the Savage X Fenty show in September 2018.

Model Devon Windsor designed two new swimwear pieces to wear during her recent wedding weekend.

The 25-year-old tied the knot with Johnny Barbara, co-owner of fashion label Alexis, at St Bartholomew’s Anglican Church on the Caribbean island of St Barths on 16 November in front of guests including Olivia Culpo, Georgia Fowler, Shanina Shaik, and Cara Santana.

The day before the wedding, the couple hosted a party at a beachside restaurant and Windsor made sure she stood out from the crowd by wearing white pieces she had designed for her swimwear line Devon Windsor Swim, which she launched earlier this year.

“Being a new swimwear designer, I worked closely with my mother-in-law, now-husband, and sister-in-law to design the most intricate hand-embellished pearl and sequin swimsuit that took multiple days of just bead application alone at their atelier,” she explained to Bazaar Bride. “The coverup for my first look also had French macrame lace and French embellished lace trim all framed with pearls to tie in my swimsuit. The second look was an embroidered lace look with high-waisted bottoms that had a detachable skirt flowing down the back and a halter top. Both looks were all white and made me feel so, so special.”

For the ceremony itself, the model turned to Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad, who created a sheer, floral lace white gown and a veil with matching lace trim.

“I have always been obsessed with his couture and bridal gowns. His attention to detail is unlike anyone I have ever seen. My first gown was an off the shoulder, long-sleeved lace gown that had a long train,” Devon gushed.

The Victoria’s Secret star later changed into another Murad design – a delicate beaded dress – for the reception.

Devon Windsor is a married woman.

The 25-year-old tied the knot with fiance Johnny Dex Barbara at a church in St. Barths on Saturday, in front of guests including Olivia Culpo, Georgia Fowler, Shanina Shaik, and Cara Santana.

Devon wore a sheer, floral lace white gown by Zuhair Murad, which featured intricate detailing on her torso and chest, a long white veil, and her blonde hair in loose waves.

The newlyweds posed for photos with their guests after the intimate ceremony and smiled at the locals who had gathered outside of the church.

Devon later changed into a white one-piece embellished bathing suit for pictures with her new husband on the beach in St. Barths, before partying with friends and family.

The model posted a snap on Instagram confirming the news, showing her wearing a personalised white bikini that read, “MRS. BARBARA.”

Shanina shared videos from the big day on her Instagram Stories too, with one clip depicting the happy couple just about to cut their wedding cake, with Johnny carrying his new wife.

The Victoria’s Secret Angel later posted videos from the boozy bash, which featured the model doing tequila shots with Sports Illustrated beauty Olivia.

Devon and Johnny spent the days leading up to their picturesque wedding spending time with their loved ones on the Caribbean island, with the bride-to-be also finalising the details of the ceremony.

“So much joy seeing all my friends coming in for my wedding!! Thank you for coming all over the world for this weekend!” she wrote alongside a clip of her walking on the beach.

Devon became engaged to businessman Johnny in June 2018 after two years of dating.

Model Devon Windsor is set to wed this weekend in St. Barths.

The Victoria’s Secret beauty will tie the knot with her fiance Johnny Dex on the picturesque Caribbean island in the coming days, with guests expected to include a number of the model’s friends, including Shanina Shaik.

The bride-to-be has been documenting the run-up to her big day on Instagram, as she finalises the details of the ceremony with Dex.

“So much joy seeing all my friends coming in for my wedding!! Thank you for coming all over the world for this weekend!” she wrote alongside a clip of her walking on the beach.

Windsor then shared a video of the soon-to-be husband and wife driving to their wedding rehearsal.

“We’re on our way, don’t mess up!” the model laughed.

According to the New York Post’s Page Six, Windsor and Dex enjoyed quality time with their families in Guadeloupe before jetting to St. Barths.

The 25-year-old became engaged to the businessman in June 2018 after two years of dating.

He popped the question to Windsor in an elaborate proposal in the Bahamas, taking her on a plane ride over a private beach, where “Marry Me” was spelled out in rose petals on the sand.

Last week, she shared a sweet video of when she and Dex obtained their marriage licence. Beaming as they left a courthouse, Windsor was wearing a white blazer and matching miniskirt with a beaded headband, while her fiance looked dapper in a powder blue suit.

“First comes love then comes… marriage license!!! Step one, done! Next up…’, she wrote on Instagram, alongside bride and groom emojis.
