Neil Patrick Harris often compares his own personal style to that of Simon Cowell.

The How I Met Your Mother actor has a very different sense of style to his husband David Burtka and likes to keep timeless pieces in his wardrobe that don’t go out of fashion.

“I tend to wear grey a lot. It’s my favourite colour so I have all kinds of grey pants, grey V-neck T-shirts. I’m like the grey Simon Cowell in my own mind,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “My husband is much more Mr Porter – much classier. And so, we’ve just gone from T-shirts to Gucci, which is lovely.”

Harris is also a big fan of trousers that give him a four-way stretch, because he “jumps around a lot” being a father to his nine-year-old twins, Harper and Gideon.

“Otherwise, if I’m dressing up, I like to dress a little bit timeless, so if God forbid I see a picture of myself five years in the past, I don’t cringe,” the 46-year-old shared.

And the star is well-known for getting into the holiday spirit, and goes all-out celebrating Halloween and Thanksgiving. However, it’s Christmas that Harris is especially excited for, and he and Burtka like to dress the part.

“We really live it up. The fourth quarter is very exciting in the Burtka-Harris household… I’m excited by the holiday sweaters, because usually, we buy new ones every year just so we’re not having to dig out mothball-ridden things from the past,” he added.

Simon Cowell has lost 20 pounds (nine kilograms) since starting a strict new vegan diet.

The TV and music mogul was urged to ditch red meat, dairy, sugar, bread, and gluten by his doctor earlier this year, and now, he has revealed that the regime has transformed his health and his waistline.

“You feel better. My memory’s better, I feel better, so I didn’t find it difficult. I can still drink beer, so I’m happy,” Cowell told Access Hollywood, as he showed off his svelte figure in a tight-fitting grey shirt and black trousers at the filming of America’s Got Talent.

Back in March, the 59-year-old shared in a chat with Extra that after having blood work done, he was told by a “well-known” doctor that he had to overhaul his diet and lifestyle, and began changing the food he ate within 24 hours.

“I’m thinking, what about alcohol? That’s all I care about. And he said, ‘Maybe not quite as much as you had before,'” he joked.

And Cowell said his diet resembles that of his five-year-old son Eric, who he shares with girlfriend Lauren Silverman.

“It’s like the Eric diet because he actually, apart from ice cream, he actually likes water,” he deadpanned. “I mean, who likes water? And his raw vegetables. So I’m on like, the Eric Cowell diet.”

The X Factor judge decided to change his lifestyle following a scary incident in October 2017, when he fainted and fell down the stairs at his home in London during a bout of insomnia.

He was rushed to hospital and later explained that his fall was due to low blood pressure.

“It was a huge shock,” he told The Sun last year. “I have got to really take good care of myself to sort that out.”

Beyonce severs ties with shamed mogul Philip Green

Beyonce has severed business ties with retail mogul Philip Green after he was accused of sexual harassment, racism and bullying.

Last month (Oct18) the Topshop owner was named as the individual who had taken out an injunction against Britain’s Daily Telegraph newspaper to prevent them publishing a report alleging he had hushed up claims he sexually harassed and racially abused staff.

His firm owned half of Beyonce’s Ivy Park athletic streetwear brand, which was sold in Topshop, but after criticism from fans, her team has confirmed the superstar has bought out the shamed tycoon’s share of the business and cut ties with him.

“After discussions of almost a year, Parkwood has acquired 100 per cent of the Ivy Park brand,” a representative of her management company Parkwood Entertainment told Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper. They added that Topshop will fulfil customers’ existing orders. For the moment, the activewear line is still available to buy in store and via the company’s website.

Beyonce launched the Ivy Park line in 2016, two years after she helped Philip open Topshop’s flagship New York store.

“I could not think of a better partner as I continue to grow the Parkwood business,” the 37-year-old mogul said in a statement at the time. “I have always loved Topshop for their fashion credentials and forward thinking.”

The Formation singer was just one of a number of stars who found themselves in the disgraced retail magnate’s orbit – as Kate Moss also designed several collections for Topshop, and he owned a stake in Simon Cowell’s Syco Entertainment firm.

The X Factor supremo recently branded his former business partner a “toxic figure” who he should never have involved in his business.

In 2016, Philip was strongly criticised by U.K. politicians for alleged tax avoidance and for selling another of his retailers, BHS, when its pension fund had a deficit of $729 million (£571 million).
