Sarah Hyland has defended Ariel Winter after her sheer dress was harshly criticised by online trolls.

The duo, who play on-screen siblings Haley and Alex Dunphy on Modern Family, posed for pictures at a bash celebrating the end of filming the U.S. sitcom, and Hyland later shared them on Instagram.

In the pictures, Winter can be seen wearing an off-the-shoulder see-through sheer black dress, with her black bandeau bra and high-waisted pants on show, while Hyland rocked a black bodycon dress with spaghetti straps.

Followers of the actress were quick to criticise the 22-year-old’s revealing outfit, forcing Hyland to defend her on-screen sister.

“Come on, girl. Why would you want to dress like that in front of a bunch of people who literally watched you grow into a young woman?” one commenter wrote. “It’s weird.”

“That she’s a sexy and confident woman,” Hyland fired back in the comments. “Everyone that is making a negative comment about my sister can back the f**k up because I will not tolerate it.”

And the actress came to Ariel’s defence once again when another critic commented: “What’s up with Ariel Winters outfit tho (sic)?”

“You (mean) that she’s (fire emoji)?? I KNOW,” Hyland retorted.

Hyland, 29, shared several snaps of her castmates, including Sofia Vergara, Nolan Gould and Ty Burrell, at the party, and joked in the caption of the slideshow that she and Winter had spent so much time together that they were now wearing practically the same clothes.

“I love these people with all my heart. 11 years together is proof (that) you and your TV sister will start wearing the same outfit, siblings for life will be made, and you’ll forever fight over the same professor. We’ll always be Dunphys and we’ll always have each other,” she wrote.

Dolce & Gabbana has served up safari chic for its spring/summer 2020 collection.

Founders Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have largely steered clear of the spotlight since they were forced to cancel their runway show in Shanghai, China last November after critics accused them of ridiculing Chinese culture in an Instagram campaign.

However, the Italian fashion designers staged a quiet comeback at the Metropol theatre as part of Milan Fashion Week on Sunday night, with their presentation drawing in the likes of Sofia Vergara, Monica Bellucci, Kitty Spencer, and Toni Garrn.

With the backdrop decorated with floral foliage, ferns, and a leopard print runway, the pair made no secret of the theme, with Gabbana commenting to Vogue.com, “(It’s the) Sicilian jungle…We enjoy making something glamorous, and we love the sense of happiness, summertime. It’s our philosophy.”

The spectacle opened with a parade of models sporting khaki safari jackets and cargo pants, with the looks paired with green accessories, gold jewellery, headscarves, and leopard print separates.

A number of garments containing animal imagery followed. One dress had a large giraffe motif across the front, while another depicted a cockatoo perched on a branch.

Referencing their Sicilian roots, Dolce and Gabbana interspersed the collection with figure-hugging black cocktail dresses and flowing numbers with deep-V necklines and lush jungle prints, and also dropped in a few miniskirts, bikini tops, and crochet dresses.

Highlights of the range included a translucent overcoat printed with delicate jungle foliage and tropical animals, a giraffe print dress, and a two-piece ensemble dotted with pineapple motifs which was paired with a dark green feathered overcoat.

To conclude, Dolce and Gabbana unveiled a line of evening dresses, mostly featuring prints of parrots, bird of paradise flowers, and dark green plants.

Sofia Vergara is adamant two readily available products are the secret to clear skin.

The Modern Family actress and fashion entrepreneur always pulls out all the stops whenever she steps out onto the red carpet, with people around the world constantly curious about her skincare regime.

But now, Sofia has divulged that she is a big fan of using drug store favourite Cetaphil’s cleanser and eye make-up remover to keep her complexion flawless.

“I try different ones all the time, because people recommend me stuff, especially in this business. But the basic stuff works best for me,” she told Who What Wear, before adding that she likes Supergoop!’s sunscreen products. “For sunscreen, I’m using Supergoop! and it’s been really good. I also use a calming serum – that’s my go-to.”

Sofia went on to explain that she now abides by a very simple routine, as her skin has suffered from years of wearing heavy make-up for TV appearances. She also has rosacea, a long-term skin condition that typically affects the face and can result in redness, pimples, swelling, and small and superficial dilated blood vessels.

“I’m going to be 47 this July, and, unfortunately, because of the high-heat lamps on sets (and I live on a set), I’ve developed rosacea. I’ve been struggling with that for six or seven years. It’s hard because I get really red, so I’ve realised that I’ve had to treat my skin like sensitive skin, where I didn’t before. I used to love products and would try anything. You name it-you tell me to put cement under my eyes, and I’d try it. But unfortunately, now all the fun is gone for me. I can’t really wear rich moisturisers or rich oils,” the star commented.

When it comes to cosmetics, Sofia uses Too Faced’s Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara.

Sofia Vergara is launching a line of “revolutionary” shapewear for women.

The Modern Family actress joined forces with entrepreneur Renata Black in late 2017 to unveil subscription underwear service EBY, with 10 per cent of the proceeds from sales going to the Seven Bar Foundation, which provides small loans to women around the world to help them start their own business.

Now, Sofia is expanding the brand’s offerings to include Comfort Shape shapewear garments, with the range currently featuring a brief and thong silhouette.

“Excited to officially announce my launch of Comfort Shape with @joineby,” she captioned a snap of the designs on her Instagram page. “We’ve heard from so many women that they want to be shaped and supported, but also feel comfortable. So we listened and I’m so excited to finally share with you the launch of Comfort Shape – revolutionising shapewear.”

Aligning with EBY’s size-inclusive strategy, the undergarments are available in a wide range of sizes. Pieces are currently only available in a nude colour, though black versions will be introduced soon.

Regarding the concept, Sofia also shared in an interview with People.com that she and Renata worked on the product for nine months and did over 30 fit tests until they settled on the perfect cut and fabric.

“It’s super comfortable. You don’t feel like you’re in a girdle or anything like that… It holds everything in without making you feel like you want to throw up!” the 46-year-old insisted. “Underwear is something that really makes you or not in an outfit. If you have the wrong underwear, it can really damage the look. So, I will always really appreciate a good underwear.”

A monthly subscription box with one pair of underwear costs $16 (£13), while the three-pair box is $45 (£36) every three months.

Sofia Vergara named her latest denim designs after the women in her family.

The Modern Family actress recently unveiled a new size-inclusive clothing line with Walmart, with the range called Sofia Jeans by Sofia Vergara.

Comprised of 100 pieces, the collection includes a variety of jean fits, including the Gloria flare and the Paula jogger, with Sofia now sharing that she paid homage to those closest to her with the names of the items.

“The women in my family are exactly the people (who) shop at Walmart,” she told StyleCaster. “So, I convinced them to let me use their names in each of the designs of the jeans, because they’re all so different, and I wanted to make a jean that would fit everyone.”

Sofia’s fashion line also contains denim jackets, dressy tops, and graphic T-shirts.

Yet, it was most important for the brunette beauty to have all of her pieces priced at $40 (£30) and under, as she knows affordability is key for so many shoppers.

“I am a big shopper. I love clothes. I love shoes. I love make-up—hair,” the 46-year-old said. “And many times, I think, oh, this is super expensive, and I know that this could be a lot cheaper or more affordable.”

Walmart executives plan on unveiling new products each season, and will continue to offer sizes ranging from U.S. 0-20 (U.K. 2-24) in jeans, skirts, and shorts, and extra-small to triple extra-large in tops.

And Sofia is thrilled with the line, especially because she practically “lives” in jeans anyway.

“From going to the store, or to a business meeting, or to a night out partying, jeans are a must-have item for women,” she said in a statement. “I wanted to design a line of great-looking jeans, perfect for daytime casual or dressed up for (a) night, and fun tops, that are comfortable and affordable.”

Sofia Vergara insists high heels and her drive are what husband Joe Manganiello finds sexiest about the actress.

The couple make sure to keep its three-year marriage as romantic as possible with regular date nights and the Modern Family star admits her man loves it when she dresses up for him.

Sofia insists she doesn’t have to try too hard – a sexy pair of heels is more than enough to turn Joe on.

“I love high heels,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “If I go to work at five in morning, I wear a pair of jeans with a cute top and flip-flops, and then, when I get in the car again at five o’clock and I have to go to dinner, I just change into a high pair of heels and feel ready to go.

“To be honest with you, for me, putting on heels is not an effort. It’s an effort not to wear them.”

The actress, who launched a new denim line on Friday (01Feb19), reveals Manganiello also loves his wife’s work ethic: “He loves that I love to work, that I love to be creative, that I’m always planning my ventures, that I’m always excited about work and about business,” she explained. “He loves that.

“I think the important thing that I have learned about balancing work and family is that you have to learn how to delegate. You can’t do everything yourself. You have to surround yourself with people you know can help you. To pay someone’s salary, it’s an investment so you can do more things, so you can trust people to help you do all the things you want.”

Sofia Vergara is thrilled that “things are changing” and the fashion world is becoming more inclusive for curvy women.

The Modern Family star is famous for her enviable hourglass figure, which she frequently shows off in jaw-dropping ensembles on the red carpet. Sofia also looks chic on her down days too, with jeans among her favourite casual items to wear, and has now used her fashion expertise to create a new denim line for Walmart, Sofia by Sofia Vergara.

The collection features nearly 100 items, such as jeans, denim jackets and T-shirts, and comes in sizes 0 to 20, or extra-small to triple extra-large, with prices no higher than $40 (£30).

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight about the range, Sofia explained that she is excited to have a part in making the fashion industry more accepting of a curvier lady.

“Things are changing for us. I think it’s great,” she smiled. “You have so many more options to look for different sizes and shapes that you know will work for you… It’s easier now, but I think it’s important to know your body and to know what makes you feel sexy and cute and comfortable.

“I think it’s important to always work with what you’ve got. Look at yourself in the mirror and realise what the best thing is that you have going on for yourself. If you have a great pair of legs, if you have a small waist, wear high-waisted jeans or skirts… Work with what you’ve got, and don’t focus on the other stuff that you cannot change, so you can find a balance and like yourself.”

Sofia was determined to include a range of sizes in the range, at a low price point, as social media enabled her to find out that’s what people want.

The 46-year-old also opened up about her own sense of style, telling ET: “I try not to be too crazy with fashion. I don’t have to wear whatever’s on fashion right now, but I like to wear things that I feel go well with me, with my body type. Jeans are always the best choice for me. I think you can never go wrong with a good pair of jeans. I really like classic pieces.”

Stella McCartney has launched a breast cancer charity called Stella McCartney Cares.

The British designer has been a longtime advocate for awareness of the disease, having lost her own mother, Linda McCartney, to breast cancer in 1998. Now, McCartney is opening her own philanthropic platform registered in the U.K., and donating 1,000 of her Louise Listening post-operative mastectomy compression bras to women undergoing breast cancer treatment.

“It’s a cause so close to my heart and the reason I designed the Louise Listening bra is my experience of seeing someone that I loved go through such a traumatising operation, a mastectomy,” she said in an interview with WWD. “I found that the mastectomy bras available at the time were just another moment where (breast cancer patients) lost their femininity and they lost a sense of who they were as a woman. I wanted to create a product that really is still beautiful and still feminine and still celebrates the power of being a woman.”

The bras were introduced in 2015, before she modified the product in 2018 to include soft internal pockets for use with prosthesis, wide adjustable straps and an extended size range of small to extra large. These can be requested via McCartney’s official website.

In addition to launching Stella McCartney Cares online, the fashion mogul has also released a breast cancer awareness campaign short film called All Is Love, tapping Luther star Idris Elba to front the project.

Sofia Vergara is the face of the label’s annual Breast Cancer Awareness campaign, and wears a limited-edition Rose Romancing lingerie set, which McCartney hopes will serve as a reminder to keep healthy and get checked regularly.

Actress Sofia Vergara is showing off her assets in Stella McCartney lingerie to raise breast cancer awareness.

The Modern Family star, who is known for her curvaceous figure, is lending her support to the fashion designer’s annual campaign, urging her fellow females to pay close attention to changes in their bodies and to undergo regular health checks.

Sofia, 46, poses in a limited edition pink lace bra and brief set for the new ads, and she shared the first snap from the two-part campaign on Instagram on Monday (24Sep18).

“I am proud to support @StellaMcCartney’s annual #BreastCancerAwareness campaign wearing the ‘Rose Romancing’ lingerie set to remind and encourage everyone to get checked and as a woman, to love and celebrate our breasts,” she captioned the image.

The Rose Romancing items go on sale on 1 October (18), with proceeds split between three cancer screening facilities across the U.S. and U.K, including the Linda McCartney Centre in Liverpool, England, which offers some of the most advanced and innovative breast cancer treatments available. The building was named in honour of Stella’s photographer mother, who died from the disease in 1998 at the age of 56.

The Colombian actress, who successfully fought thyroid cancer when she was 28, has been outspoken about the need for regular breast screenings and last year (17), documented her mammogram on social media to show fans the procedure was nothing to be afraid about.

Vergara follows in the footsteps of singer Alicia Keys, who was tapped to front the 2017 Stella McCartney Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign. The cause is also one close to the Empire State of Mind hitmaker’s heart as her mother, Teresa Augello, previously overcame a battle with the disease.

Sofia Vergara hasn’t changed her makeup routine in 40 years

Sofia Vergara has applied her makeup the same way for decades after sticking with a tip she picked up long ago.

The Colombian beauty launched her career at Univision in the 1990s before becoming a household name on U.S. TV comedy Modern Family and her cosmetics practice has been the same since she first set out as an actress.

“The best advice I got was from the first makeup artist I started working with at Univision,” the 46 year old tells Health magazine. “She taught me that I should only wear colours that make me look good, you know? That I shouldn’t be a victim of fashion.

“She was like, ‘Just always stick to the colours that are good for you, and for the shape of your eye’.

“So for 40 years, I’ve been doing the same makeup! I have warm skin, so I look good with browns, and golds, and bronze; I don’t look good with greys or pinks.”

Sofia knows what’s best for her skin too and won’t use abrasive products after realising certain items caused more harm than good.

“I used to do masks and scrubs and rubs and things… but I’ve had to simplify as I’ve gotten older,” she explains. “I have (skin condition) rosacea – it’s redness and sensitivity. If you put on too much stuff, there is irritation, so I have to keep it very simple.

“I do the retinol thing that everybody does, but I have to do it in moderation. And I do vitamin C, also in moderation. But I still try (lots of different products) on my neck and my chest.”

Sofia is married to Magic Mike hunk Joe Manganiello and she admits she finds his toned-down approach to skincare and health maintenance very attractive.

“He’s fit and he’s good looking and everything, but he is very not into it – like, he doesn’t really know how handsome and big he is,” she says. “He works out for health and for strength, not for a six-pack. You never hear him talking about stuff like that. It’s all about health and strength.”

“And his beauty routine is very simple ‘ it’s a shower and combing his hair, and that’s it,” she adds. “I mean, he’ll get a sunburn, so I have to harass him and follow him around the house to put a little bit of cream on. It’s like I was putting poop in his face! You know? He is just a true guy.”
