Prabal Gurung has scrapped the location of his New York Fashion Week show in protest over President Trump supporter Stephen Ross.

Real estate mogul Ross is the chairman and founder of Related Companies, the firm that owns the Hudson Yards mixed-use complex in New York City.

Gurung was in negotiations to hold his 10-year anniversary show at Hudson Yards’ Vessel – a sculpture of interconnecting flights of stairs – during New York Fashion Week in September.

However, a backlash erupted after Ross announced he was hosting a fundraising luncheon at his Hamptons home for President Donald Trump’s re-election campaign for 2020.

People have called for a boycott of businesses and properties tied to Ross – including Equinox gyms and SoulCycle – in protest of his support of the controversial Republican, and now Gurung has taken a stand.

The designer took to Twitter to announce he was pulling out of the show at Hudsons Yards, and told his followers that he was prompted to make the decision due to the “turbulent and dangerous” political and social climate in the U.S.

“This is about choosing between two sides, the right or the wrong sides of the history,” the 40-year-old stated, before adding that he was simply questioning “these individuals whose motivation seems to be nothing but $$$”.

Gurung said that he was keen to partner with the Hudson Vessel for his show, but once he found out about Ross’ fundraiser for Trump, he had no choice but to pull out.

“Removing our brand and selves from this is my choice and that is my decision. I am not expecting anyone else to do it, however it was the right thing to do, for ME, and I do want to speak out to create transparency and awareness,” he concluded.

Spring Studios remains the official venue for New York Fashion Week, which kicks off 6 September.

Julianne Hough is gearing up to launch a dance-inspired exercise class.

The actress/dancer has risen to fame as a professional champion and judge on Dancing with the Stars, and is also a member of the America’s Got Talent panel.

Over the past few years, Julianne has contemplated creating a new exercise format like the “SoulCycle of dance” but she’s since developed the concept further, and is about to unveil Kinrgy.

“When I think about what I want to create, I want to help people connect back to their truest self,” she said of the project in an interview with U.S. Women’s Health magazine. “When that happens, they can relate to the people around them with no filter and experience the world how we’re supposed to experience it-in its most pure form, which I believe is love.”

The name Kinrgy was invented by Julianne and her team, and merges the words kinaesthetic and kin, as in family, as well as energy. While the star shared few other details about her “high-sensory activated dance method,” she did explain that she wants others to be able to move freely.

“Dance is my superpower, and it has been my whole life, but I didn’t even know it,” the 31-year-old mused. “I have no boundaries when I dance.”

Elsewhere in the chat, Julianne opened up about her battle with endometriosis, a condition where tissue similar to the lining of the womb starts to grow in other places, such as the ovaries and Fallopian tubes, and how she uses exercise and abides by a healthy diet to help with her symptoms.

“If I don’t move my body in the morning, I have a fine day,” she smiled. “If I move it first thing, I have an excellent day.”

Julianne will launch Kinrgy in the near future and already has plans to open a studio in Los Angeles.

The team behind the celebrity-loved workout brand SoulCycle has launched a size-inclusive line of activewear.

The first ever collection released exclusively as an extension of the popular exercise routine enjoyed by the likes of Lady Gaga and Selena Gomez has hit retailers ranging from Nordstrom to Lululemon – and will include items co-designed by bosses at the fitness staple.

SoulCycle’s Vice President of Retail Caroline Gogolak tells website Fashionista that the pieces were designed with SoulCycle’s various devotees in mind.

“Activewear is a very crowded space, so we’ve really positioned ourselves differently, building our brand in a reverse way,” shares Gogolak. “We’re building (the line) off of 12 years of understanding of what our customer wants, as well as feedback on what both instructors and riders want from a design and performance perspective.”

The range, tested by various instructors and riders of many shapes and sizes, will cater to a variety of body types, extending to

XXXL.

“Instructors are the voice and face of the brand, so they need to be confident when they’re up there on the podium,” Gogolak adds. “From the first road test, instructors were very vocal about their likes and dislikes, even when it came to aesthetic details like prints and decorative elements.”

The collection also offers fans a way to celebrate the fitness community dedicated to the company’s workouts.

Gogolak shares, “We’re one of the remaining brands that has a beloved community; it’s such a magical experience (riding) in the four walls, and the collection is a way of giving a piece of the brand to those who don’t have a SoulCycle in their own city.”

Kiernan Shipka suffered from “angry skin” while shooting the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

The actress, known for her performance as Sally Draper on AMC series Mad Men, has successfully made the transition from child star to leading lady by landing the part of Sabrina Spellman in Netflix’s new series, which is based on the comic book series of the same name.

While Kiernan was thrilled to play the half-witch teenager in the show, she has now shared that she had a terrible time with her skin when filming the episodes in Vancouver, British Columbia earlier in the year (18).

“I was having a lot of skin troubles when I moved up to Vancouver because A) I found out I was allergic to the cat on the show, so there were a lot of hive breakouts happening, and B) just adjusting to the new pollens,” she told Byrdie.com. “Plus, I think lack of sleep and the physical and mental stress of taking on this giant job made my skin angry.”

The skin flare-ups caused Kiernan to reassess her skincare regime and try out new products. Accordingly, her daily routine now incorporates a variety of different formulas from Marie Veronique, Beautycounter and Tata Harper.

“I landed on a brand called Marie Veronique, and I swear my skin has never been clearer. I think they make it here in L.A., and it’s freaking amazing. Their cleanser, their face oil, and their retinol serum are so good. I also love me some face masks,” the 18-year-old noted.

Apart from skincare, Kiernan stays grounded by taking yoga or SoulCycle classes. She also shops up a storm at local farmers’ markets too.

“(I eat) a lot of root vegetables and warm foods during the fall and winter. We could get into the sort of Ayurvedic aspect of it-like grounding foods. Top-favourite vegetable is cauliflower, for sure. And have you ever done roasted celery? It’ll change how you look at celery,” she smiled.

Kaley Cuoco constantly changes her workout routines so she doesn’t get bored.

The Big Bang Theory actress often uploads details of her exercise sessions on social media, with some of her favourite workouts including lifting weights, yoga and indoor cycling classes.

But Kaley is adamant that the key to sticking to a regimen is lots of variety.

“If I get a little bit bored, I’ll switch over to SoulCycle, which I love too,” she said in an interview with U.S. Women’s Health magazine. “It’s all or nothing. I’m hot or cold. I’m not a grey area. So, if I’m doing yoga, we’re doing it every day this week…Then I’m like, ‘Oh my god, I have to switch.’ Then I’m going crazy on SoulCycle… ‘Okay, I have to switch.’”

Playing sport has always been a big part of Kaley’s life too, as she was a regionally ranked amateur tennis player until she stopped playing at the 16.

In recent years, the blonde beauty has developed a passion for riding horses, an interest she shares with her equestrian champion husband Karl Cook.

“Cut to nine horses later, showing all over the country, having my own barn…it’s totally changed my life, for so many reasons,” the 32-year-old smiled.

Shortly after marrying Karl in June (18), Kaley underwent surgery on her shoulder, which took 12 weeks to recover from. As she continues to heal from the operation, the star has employed a personal trainer from Proactive Sports Performance in California and she’s thrilled with the results.

“This place has been a major refuge for me in many ways,” she recently wrote on Instagram. “Their entire team has been incredibly instrumental in rehabbing my shoulder and having me fall back in love with the gym and personal training. Staying in shape is hard and it takes work, so when you find a programme that works for you, don’t let it go!”

Amy Schumer’s new movie I Feel Pretty will be released sooner than expected, having received a positive reception online.

The film was originally scheduled for release on 29 June (18) but STXfilms announced on Wednesday (14Feb18) that it will now hit cinemas on 27 April, claiming the studio’s decision to bring the film forward stems from the promising response to the trailer.

The YouTube video has had over four million views since it first dropped on 8 February, and STXfilms added that a successful test screening of I Feel Pretty also contributed to their decision to change the date.

Amy, 36, plays the lead role in the comedy flick, about a woman called Renee who struggles with feelings of inadequacy until she has a fall in her SoulCycle class and wakes up believing she’s the most beautiful woman in the world.

The comedian will star alongside Michelle Williams, who plays Amy’s boss in the film, as well as co-stars including Emily Ratajkowski and Rory Scovel. Screenwriting duo Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein, whose wife Busy Philipps also stars in the film, have co-written the movie, which will also mark the pair’s directorial debut having previously written for romantic comedies such as Never Been Kissed and He’s Just Not That Into You.

The Trainwreck star was also lined up to play Barbie in the live-action Sony/Mattel collaboration scheduled for release in 2020, but eventually had to turn down the project due to scheduling conflicts, with the role being re-cast to Oscar winner Anne Hathaway. However, Amy has previously shared that she’s more than happy with her replacement.

“Hathaway smathaway jkjk she’s perfect (sic)!!” the actress captioned a selfie she posted online. “Can’t wait to see it!”
