Cindy Crawford and Irina Shayk are among the stars who feature in Carine Roitfeld’s new T-shirt calendar.

For the 2020 edition of the CR Calendar, the former editor of Vogue Paris decided to ditch the traditional paper version in favour of creating 12 recycled cotton T-shirts which each feature a model striking a pose to represent their associated star sign.

Shot by Brianna Capozzi, the project features Cindy underwater for Pisces, Irina as Capricorn, Doutzen Kroes under a waterfall for Aquarius, Stella Maxwell in brown thigh-high boots as Taurus, and Candice Swanepoel in a complex yoga pose for Libra.

Carine told WWD that she wanted to create the T-shirt calendar for 2020, as opposed to a traditional paper one, in an effort to be more sustainable.

“We have to change, no? We have to make surprise,” she explained. “We did two already and did so many before with Vogue Paris so we decided to do a T-shirt because, first of all, less paper, so it’s more eco-friendly.”

All of the models posed for the calendar for free and 100 per cent of the proceeds from sales of the T-shirts will go to their chosen charities.

Roitfeld explained she was drawn to using star signs for the unique calendar because horoscopes are a big deal in the fashion industry.

“In fashion, people really ask it,” the 65-year-old shared. “Even Riccardo Tisci, one of the first things he asks someone when he meets them is ‘what is your sign.’ People are very excited to know the sign of the other one. It’s a way to break the ice.”

She also believes that working with a people who have a specific star sign is the key to success.

“Twenty-five years working with Tom Ford. He’s a Virgo. I’m a Virgo. 10 years with Karl Lagerfeld. He was a Virgo. I’m a Virgo,” she mused.

Emily Ratajkowski and Teddy Quinlivan slam models attending Saudi Arabia festival

Emily Ratajkowski and Teddy Quinlivan have blasted the models who agreed to take part in a controversial trip to Saudi Arabia.

High-profile models including Winnie Harlow, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Stella Maxwell joined the likes of Armie Hammer, Ryan Phillippe, Sofia Richie, and Scott Disick in the country’s capital of Riyadh for the MDL Beast Festival.

Members of the Saudi government allegedly gifted the all-expenses-paid tours to celebrities and Instagram influencers to improve the country’s reputation and spark an interest in their tourism industry, despite their track record of human-rights abuses.

According to editors at news outlet Insider, Richie shared a picture on Instagram from Riyadh’s opulent Ritz-Carlton hotel, which was reportedly the same hotel that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman used to detain a number of prominent people under the guise of anti-corruption charges.

In light of the issue, Ratajkowski released a statement to moderators at fashion commentary website Diet Prada and told them she had turned down the trip.

“It is very important to me to make clear my support for the rights of women, the LGBTQ community, freedom of expression and the right to a free press,” the 28-year-old stated. “I hope coming forward on this brings more attention to the injustices happening here.”

While Quinlivan took to Instagram to share her disgust at her fellow models and urged her followers to be “conscious” of their actions.

“As a LGBTQ+ rights activist, supporter of human rights and equality of the sexes, I felt it was important I speak on this issue specifically on this platform,” the 25-year-old, who came out as transgender in 2017, wrote. “We all have to be conscious of what we are supporting and what we lend our platforms to.”

Martha Hunt also turned down the trip to MDL Beast Festival.

“I stand in solidarity with the repressed people of Saudi Arabia and refuse to be used as a campaign to cover up those suffering from injustice,” she said.

Journalist Jamal Khashoggi was assassinated by Saudi operatives at the nation’s consulate in Istanbul, Turkey in October 2018. The Saudi royal family has denied ordering or sanctioning the killing. In addition, women’s rights activist Loujain al-Hathloul was arrested in May 2018. She remains in prison pending the next court session.

Naomi Campbell will be selling her designer clothes at a pop-up store to benefit Fashion for Relief.

The supermodel, who founded the charity in 2005, has curated the pieces to be sold at a temporary boutique in London’s Westfield shopping centre. The store will include bespoke and limited-edition pieces from fashion brands such as Vivienne Westwood, Gucci and Alaia, and items from her own wardrobe.

“It’s truly a pleasure to be partnering with Westfield London again to launch our fourth Fashion For Relief designer pop-up store,” the 49-year-old said in a statement. “This is a unique opportunity for everyone to get their hands on some really special fashion pieces at accessible prices.

“Whether you are shopping for Christmas presents or just treating yourself, you can do so here knowing that the money is going to help improve the futures of young Londoners.”

The pop-up will run in the Atrium from 27 November until 8 December and will raise money for Fashion For Relief 2019’s charity partner, the Mayor’s Fund for London.

“I’m delighted that Naomi and Fashion For Relief have chosen to support the Mayor’s Fund for London,” London Mayor Sadiq Khan said back in September. “We share the belief that all young people, regardless of their background, should have the opportunity to fulfil their potential.”

Up-and-coming designers will also be presenting collections at the pop-up store, as well as pieces donated by Naomi’s celebrity friends.

The supermodel recently staged a star-studded catwalk show to benefit Fashion for Relief during London Fashion Week, with Naomi walking the runway alongside models including Stella Maxwell.

Liam Payne spent 90 per cent of his time in the gym over the past year to prepare for his Hugo Boss shoot.

The Strip That Down hitmaker recently shot a sizzling partially nude ad campaign for Hugo Boss underwear, something the 26-year-old had dreamed of to motivate himself while in the gym.

“Before we landed the deal with Hugo I’d gone into my gym and said, ‘I’m going to get an underwear commercial.’ I just wanted to do it; I knew I could do it. And then it actually happened! And I worked my a*s off and I’m still hitting the gym: I didn’t realise once you get on that thing you can’t really turn it off,” he told GQ Hype magazine.

The father-of-one revealed that he was at the gym for “90 per cent” of his time in an effort to look super ripped for the shoot with model Stella Maxwell, and the results have given him more self-confidence.

“It’s been a lot of training and being an athlete and working out – it became 90 per cent of my job for the best part of a year leading up to that shoot, which was crazy,” he explained. “Come 2019 everyone’s a lot more open about body image and I wanted to get in shape. Not to show off my body to anyone else, I just knew that’s what would give the confidence on set. I didn’t want to arrive not ready and not looking like I’d worked hard to get there.”

The former One Direction singer also opened up on his decision to go sober for a year, confessing it was hard on his social life.

“I was the biggest recluse on the planet. I would get up at 5am and go running in the park, but at night I would be in bed by 7pm. Is that a way to live your life?” he candidly shared.

Stella Maxwell and Liam Payne have stripped off for a racy new Hugo Boss underwear campaign.

Former One Direction star Liam was announced as a celebrity brand ambassador for the German fashion house back in May, and a short time later, unveiled his debut Hugo x Liam Payne line.

Now, Liam has teamed up with bosses at Hugo on another campaign, this time to promote a range of bodywear, with the imagery shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.

One snap shows the singer lying on a bed in just his underwear with Stella behind him completely nude, with just a sheet protecting her modesty, while another photo depicts Liam naked with the topless model on top of him.

And the British singer has admitted he required a little liquid courage in preparation for the risque photoshoot.

“There was a lot of tequila involved for this shoot,” he said in an interview with GQ Hype magazine. “(The photoshoot) ended up being a lot more naked than I thought it was – and for her as well. She was also naked. And I was just, you know, ‘Don’t look!’ She was naked behind me and I was thinking, ‘Liam, don’t look whatever you do.'”

However, Liam also confessed that his mother wasn’t immediately pleased when she first saw the provocative pictures.

“It was a lot of fun to shoot but my mum wasn’t best pleased. There’s this really raunchy shot of me and Stella, and I showed my mum,” the 26-year-old smiled. “She took one look at it and gave me a clip round the ear. All I was thinking was, ‘I better not tell her about the London buses!'”

Stella Maxwell has been granted a restraining order against a man who has allegedly been sending her threatening messages.

The Victoria’s Secret regular recently filed for protection from Ruben Velazquez, who she claims has been showing up at her house uninvited and sending her messages via social media.

Maxwell alleges he sent her a creepy photo of himself just a few feet from her house.

According to the legal documents, obtained by TMZ, Velazquez also sent messages claiming to be her husband, threatening to shoot her and “leave you lame”.

The 29-year-old also alleged that the last message she got from him read: “I’m going to be a serial killer” and “I (will) leave you in a wheelchair.”

Velazquez has been ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from Maxwell at all times. He has also been charged with criminal threats and harassment.

However, Maxwell isn’t letting the restraining order keep her from making appearances. On Thursday night, she stepped out at Drake’s Halloween party, where she channelled Britney Spears’s iconic look from the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards. Wearing a green bra top and denim shorts, the model also posed with a real snake at one point during the night.

Sharing a clip of her outfit on Instagram, she wrote, “Halloween 2019,” to which model Irina Shayk responded, “It’s Stella b**ch,” and Elsa Hosk added: “Yezzzz.”

“My personal style is laidback, eclectic, and comfortable. I love mixing current trends with vintage pieces in my closet to create a new look,” she said of her signature style.

The range also features romantic florals and embroideries in a colour palette of neutral tones, dusky pinks, emerald greens and mustard yellows.

Jeremy Scott has paid tribute to Pablo Picasso for Moschino’s spring/summer 2020 collection.

The fashion designer unveiled his latest line for the Italian label as part of Milan Fashion Week on Thursday night, and true to form, offered up an extravagant spectacle.

Honouring the life and artwork of the Spanish painter and sculptor, the presentation opened with a model walking the runway in a brightly coloured dress which evoked Picasso’s early Fauvist-inspired art.

Brightly coloured printed suits and graphic coats with sharp shoulders followed, with dresses resembling the flowing curves and abstract shapes of the icon’s first Cubist pieces.

Referencing Picasso’s heritage, one model sported the red cape and black hat of a matador, along with blue leggings and shiny gold jewellery, while another carried a black purse with the words “Bull chic” splashed across the front.

Joan Smalls rocked a red and gold dress inspired by the embellished outfits worn by bullfighters, and another model showed off a red polka dot dress with ruffled sleeves, similar to the worn of flamenco dancers.

A highlight of the collection was a black gown dotted with sequin flower appliques, with the look worn by Stella Maxwell, as was a black velvet dress with architectural shoulders that was dotted with blue and green beads and had pink lining in the skirt.

Yet, somehow Scott managed to turn the theme up another notch towards the end of the presentation, having Kaia Gerber walk the catwalk in an outfit shaped into a guitar, as influenced by Picasso’s still life paintings, another model donned a sequin dress which referred to the artist’s groundbreaking 1907 work Les Demoiselles d’Avignon, and others sported pieces that looked like actual gold Baroque picture frames.

To conclude, Bella Hadid rocked a pink and blue sequin jumpsuit which alluded to Picasso’s paintings of harlequins, Irina Shayk dazzled in a gold and black dress with violin motif, and Gigi Hadid was Moschino’s “bride” in an over-the-top white dress with huge veil and dove motifs attached to the front.

Adwoa Aboah has opened up about her ongoing battle with acne and breakouts in a candid social media post.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, the British model bravely published photos she had taken of her skin over the last two to three years, and in the accompanying caption, wrote about her struggle to maintain a clear complexion.

“Only ever meant for my eyes in order to obsessively scrutinise over my up and down battle with my skin,” she shared of the snaps. “Some days it was acne, some days it wasn’t too bad, then mass breakouts followed by clear as day skin. It was exhausting never knowing what your skin was going to look like from one day to another, it was even more exhausting caring so much, about what work thought or if people noticed.”

Some days, Aboah was so ashamed of her breakouts that she apologised to make-up artists on photoshoots.

“Constantly apologising whilst sat in front of a mirror for something that was out of my control, obsessing over my skin to a point that was very unhealthy at the best of times,” the 27-year-old added.

Aboah, who is the founder of Gurls Talk, posted about her skincare battle to promote her social media theme for September, which will be focused on skin and body.

“This month, as much as I can, I will be posting those photos, not because my skin is the worst you’ve ever seen but because it feels time to let that s**t go, time to join forces with a community who bare their pimples for the world to see,” she concluded.

Aboah’s post quickly drew the attention of her celebrity friends, with Stella Maxwell, Arizona Muse, and Paloma Faith all praising her honesty.
