The Euphoria actress opened the Italian fashion house’s fall/winter 2020 presentation at the Palais d’Iena wearing a bronze crushed satin dress and a dark grey tweed overcoat, with her braids shaped into a ’40s updo.

“Wow. Wow. Wow. Today I walked in my first fashion show. Not only did I walk, but I opened the show. In Paris. For @MIUMIU. Insane right?!?” she gushed. “Thank you to the whole @miumiu team and (stylist) @kegrand for not only allowing but trusting me to do this. I always felt like I could walk in a show, and (creative director) @jasonbolden told me to be patient, and I’m so glad I was. We did it J! This is something that will be etched in my mind and heart forever. XO.”

Storm received praise from celebrities in the comments section, with her A Wrinkle in Time co-star Mindy Kaling writing, “Wow wow wow!! You are (fire) Storm!!” and Janelle Monae posting, “Gooooo stormie !!!!!” with a fire emoji.

Adut Akech has opened up about her struggles with anxiety and depression over the past year.

The South Sudan-born model achieved a lot of success with her fashion career during 2019, landing campaigns for the likes of Valentino and winning the Model of the Year award at The Fashion Awards 2019 last month.

However, in a new Instagram post, Adut shared how she hit a low point in her personal life after losing some family members.

“I started becoming numb to everything. It got really hard for me to express any emotion and the people around me started noticing,” she wrote. “It became really hard to express my excitement and gratitude for all the amazing things happening with my career.”

Adut went on to explain that she soon reached out for professional help and began sessions with a therapist. But she continued to experience panic attacks every night, and in the end, decided to take two months off to spend time at home in Australia.

“I felt depressed to a point of wanting to end it, but for my family and myself I had to fight what I could say was the hardest battle of my life. Every day was a struggle but I did everything I could to get a better mental state of mind. I started feeling better and I started seeing things clearer,” the 20-year-old insisted. “Biggest lesson I learned after all this, is the importance of letting go of all things toxic. Don’t hold on to toxic relationships because of comfort, or how long you’ve known the person or the type of relationship ya’ll have. Always put yourself, mental wellbeing, peace and sanity first.”

To conclude, Adut explained that she wanted to share her story so others battling the same issues will know “they’re not alone”.

Accordingly, the star’s post attracted comments from many of her celebrity friends, including actress Storm Reid, models Naomi Campbell and Lily Aldridge, and writer Janet Mock.

Storm Reid is reportedly the top choice to play Idris Elba’s daughter in the new Suicide Squad movie.

Editors at film publication The Wrap have claimed that the 16-year-old is being eyed for role in the upcoming The Suicide Squad, though a deal has yet to be reached. Specific details about the part Reid could potentially play are being kept secret, with little known about Elba’s character either.

Should the 16-year-old sign on for the movie, she and Elba will join John Cena among the new castmembers of the follow-up to 2016’s supervillain film.

Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, and Jai Courtney are reportedly set to return as DC Comics characters Harley Quinn, Rick Flag, and Captain Boomerang, respectively, while Oscar winner Viola Davis will also be back as Amanda Waller.

Reid has enjoyed a steady rise to fame in Hollywood, and recently appeared in HBO’s new show Euphoria, alongside Zendaya, and reunited with A Wrinkle in Time director Ava DuVernay for her critically-acclaimed Netflix series, When They See Us.

The starlet will reportedly finish filming on The Invisible Man remake, with Elisabeth Moss, before beginning shooting the comic book movie.

Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn is taking charge of the project, simply titled The Suicide Squad, with production expected to begin in September, ahead of an August 2021 release.

The first movie, directed by David Ayer and co-starring Will Smith, Jared Leto and Cara Delevingne, was critically mauled but went on to make almost $750 million (£600 million) at the global box office.

Elba was originally cast as Deadshot, effectively replacing Smith, although it was reported soon after the news was announced that the 50-year-old Oscar nominee was disappointed the British actor did not get his blessing before accepting the role.

According to editors at Collider, Elba and Gunn then created a new part in the movie for the Golden Globe-winning actor, but details are still under wraps.

Reese Witherspoon pulled out all the stops for the A Wrinkle in Time premiere on Monday night (26Feb18).

The actress led a parade of celebrities at the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles to celebrate the launch of Ava DuVernay’s new fantasy-adventure film, which follows a young girl on a quest to find her father.

Reese, who portrays astral traveller Mrs. Whatsit in the flick, posed up a storm in a dark red one-shouldered gown from Michael Kors and topped off her look by having her blonde hair styled into loose waves.

She was joined at the event by Storm Reid, who takes on the lead role of Meg Murry. Storm, 14, looked lovely in a blue dress with sequin-studded tiered skirt which was custom made for her by Coach.

Oprah Winfrey and Mindy Kaling, who play astral travellers Mrs. Which and Mrs. Who, also turned heads at the event. Oprah looked elegant in a dark blue dress with gold detailing which she complemented with bedazzled gold and black glasses as well as a braided hairstyle that took two hours to complete, while Mindy, who gave birth to her daughter Katherine in December (17), wowed in a purple Greta Constantine dress with a structured neckline.

Fellow star Chris Pine sported a blue three-piece suit from Giorgio Armani, Gugu Mbatha-Raw rocked a white gown with multi-coloured drapery by Vionnet, Bellamy Young looked like a princess in a white Azzi & Osta Couture ballgown, and director Ava stood out in a fuchsia dress from Cushnie et Ochs, which she accessorised with Stuart Weitzman shoes and H. Stern jewellery.

A number of other Hollywood names turned up to show their support for the movie, with Eva Longoria putting her growing baby belly on display in an olive green dress and black jacket, and Tracee Ellis Ross making a statement in a strapless floral dress from Michael Kors.

Laura Dern, Ellen Pompeo, Tessa Thompson, Yara Shahidi, Bianca Lawson and Anthony Anderson were also in attendance.
