Meghan, Duchess of Sussex will reportedly guest edit the prestigious September 2019 issue of British Vogue.

The British royal will join editor-in-chief Edward Enninful to preside over the big fashion release, widely considered to be the most important issue of the year, according to editors at Us Weekly.

“Meghan will be writing an opinion piece of her own as well as bringing a selection of female change-makers on board to write their own personal essays,” an insider told the publication.

The source also claimed Meghan, who welcomed her first child, son Archie, with husband Prince Harry on 6 May, will pose for a special photoshoot on the grounds of the couple’s Frogmore Cottage home in Windsor, England next week.

British Vogue officials have yet to comment on the report, which emerges three days after Meghan joined Harry and other members of his family at the Trooping the Colour parade in London on Saturday to publicly celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s 93rd birthday.

The event marked only the second time the former Suits actress has appeared in public following the arrival of her baby son.

She and Harry, who wed in May 2018, previously introduced the newborn to the world at a special photocall at Windsor Castle two days after giving birth.

In the past, Meghan delved into the world of fashion, beauty and travel with her lifestyle website The Tig.

The project, in which the 37-year-old also profiled inspirational women and spoke to health and wellbeing experts, garnered over three million fans on Instagram, though she closed the website in April 2017 when she made her relationship with Harry official.

Katherine Heigl celebrating Mother’s Day with charity fashion sale

Katherine Heigl is celebrating U.S. Mother’s Day by selling some of her most loved looks for charity.

The actress and her mum Nancy have joined forces with the online shopping platform Poshmark for Posh Closet for Charity, in which they will list 85 items from their closets for fans to purchase. Proceeds will go towards the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation, named after Heigl’s late brother, which works to protect animal welfare and help animals in shelters receive medical care.

For Heigl, the cause allows her to enjoy one of her favourite activities – organising her clothing.

“I’m incredibly ruthless when it comes to cleaning out,” she tells People. “If I haven’t worn something for a long time or have never worn it at all, it goes. Of course, now that I’m seeing it all beautifully photographed and up for sale on Poshmark, I’m second guessing my decisions!”

Among the pieces the Suits star is offering up are three pairs of Valentino Rockstud flats, which she she has been unable to wear since welcoming son Joshua in 2016.

“I was forced to let go of all my beloved Valentino flats because my feet grew half a size after pregnancy, but I used to wear them all the time!” she says. “They were my go-to shoe for every look and outfit and it still breaks my heart to let them go!”

Nancy has also found it difficult to let go of a few items that spark happy memories.

“A lot of these clothes and shoes are from our special mother-daughter shopping days. When we were having a great year and wanted to splurge, we would plan a day at Bergdorf Goodman in New York City and would start out at the top floor, have lunch, and then slowly head down,” Nancy tells People.

Heigl’s mother also notes that the venture represents her family’s love of lending a helping hand to others.

She adds, “For generations, our family has always believed in supporting causes we are passionate about, have always been huge animal lovers, and believe we all need to do whatever we can to improve the world we live in.”

Anna Wintour has been impressed by the stilettos Meghan, Duchess of Sussex has worn throughout her pregnancy.

The former Suits actress and her husband Prince Harry are currently expecting their first child, with Meghan thought to be due to give birth at the end of the month (Apr19).

Previously, U.S. Vogue editor-in-chief Anna has praised Meghan for “bringing modernity” to the British royal family, and in a new video for her series Go Ask Anna, she shared that she was impressed by the 37-year-old’s ability to walk in very high heels while expecting.

“I’ve been very taken by the way Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has been dressing. Throughout her pregnancy, her heels actually seem to be getting taller every time I look at a picture of her,” she commented. “When pregnant, I think it is very important to continue wearing your own personal style. I never understand why women suddenly decide they want to hide their pregnancy. Why not celebrate it? It’s an incredibly joyful time in a woman’s life. And it’s nothing to be hidden or be ashamed of. Much better, in a way, to flaunt it.”

Anna went on to name Kate Moss, Cara Delevingne, and Lupita Nyong’o as her “modern” style icons, because the three women “always look exactly like themselves”.

In addition, the editor commended politician Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s personal style, but noted that she wishes more people would focus on what the U.S. Representative has to say.

“I do personally love the red lipstick and the hoop earrings,” the 69-year-old smiled, referring to the young politician’s signature look. “I think it’s wonderful to have a young woman in the political arena that is obviously not frightened to say what she means, that represents another generation that is independent thinking, that isn’t falling into line with the conventional wisdom of what a woman in politics should be or how she should look or how she should conduct herself… So, good for her. I’m looking forward to seeing where she takes us.”

Edward Enninful: ‘I want Duchess Meghan on the front of Vogue’

Editor Edward Enninful is keen to get Meghan, Duchess of Sussex on the cover of Vogue.

Prior to becoming a royal in May 2018, when she wed Britain’s Prince Harry, Meghan was a regular on the pages of glossy magazines thanks to her role in TV show Suits.

Since leaving her acting career behind, Meghan has kept to royal protocol and stepped away from the celebrity circuit, but British Vogue editor Edwards would “love” her to feature on the front of his magazine.

“I am so into the young royals,” he declared to the London Evening Standard. “Meghan is an example of how far we’ve all come.”

Asked who has better style, Meghan or her sister-in-law Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, he diplomatically answered: “They are different, it’s all fun and games. I’d love them both to be on the cover of Vogue.”

Catherine previously posed for the magazine in 2016, while Harry’s mother, the late Princess Diana, was the cover star in 1991.

Edward has been at the helm of the British publication since long-serving editor Alexandra Shulman stepped down in 2017, with the Ghanaian’s appointment marking a new chapter for Vogue.

And he’s made it his mission to include more diversity in the pages of the fashion bible.

“I want to change the face of fashion to make it more inclusive. When we say diversity it’s not just race. We’re looking at religion, age, size,” he stated. “This year I’d like to continue to use my voice to normalise the marginalised.

“If you’re a child living in a village in Devon you might not know what a trans person or a black person looks like and so to see them in a magazine is so powerful and can give you empathy. Growing up and seeing images that looked like me and my friends made me think I could get into this industry.”

Jason Wu: ‘American fashion is in a weird place’

Jason Wu is concerned the U.S. fashion industry is in a “weird place”.

The New York-based designer is known for merging American sportswear elements with timeless classics, with his fans including Diane Kruger, Emma Stone, Julianne Moore as well as Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.

Wu recently announced that he will be taking a two-season hiatus from runway shows to work on expanding and streamlining his business, and he has now admitted that the overhaul is necessary in order to keep up with the changing landscape of fashion.

“American fashion is in kind of a weird place,” he said during a chat held at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, according to WWD. “It’s very challenging and New York Fashion Week is going through its own period of self-evaluation and everyone is looking at the business differently.”

Wu went on to explain that the clothes business is entirely different since he launched his own brand in 2003.

However, he was thrilled to participate in a programme in which he mentored 15 students at the Otis College of Art and Design, and he ended up learning a lot from the aspiring designers too.

“I’m happy to be able to do something for the generation after me so aspiring fashion designers can be armed with as much information as possible before they leave school,” the 36-year-old insisted. “Also, it’s really interesting to tap into how that generation thinks and it also keeps me very current. It’s really important to know what’s going on and be a part of culture.”

During the chat, Wu touched on some of the outfits he has created for this A-list clients and made a special mention of his relationships with new royal Meghan and former U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama.

Meghan stepped out in a dark green crepe dress from the designer during an appearance in Fiji earlier this month (Oct18) as part of her and Prince Harry’s first royal tour together, and Wu could not be happier to see the former Suits actress in his garments.

“Meghan is very inspiring and wears the clothes beautifully and has great poise,” he smiled.

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex’s go-to designer Roland Mouret never dreamed he’d be dressing royalty.

Since she began her romance with Prince Harry, former actress Meghan’s clothes and style have become a global fascination, with the secrecy surrounding her wedding dress one of the most talked about topics in the lead up to her nuptials in May (18).

French designer Mouret, who helms his namesake label, has been dressing Meghan for years, and the pair have formed a close friendship. Many thought he was a shoo-in to create her special dress, but in the end the honour went to Givenchy’s Clare Waight Keller – though Mouret attended the wedding as a guest.

“I never imagined I would be dressing royalty, no. Twenty years ago, designing in my kitchen, I would have said never,” he admitted to the Telegraph.

The two first met in a hotel lift in Istanbul, Turkey, and the designer quickly told the ex-Suits star he’d love to dress her.

Asked about his friendship with the 37-year-old American, Mouret remained tight-lipped.

“Oooh, it’s personal. It’s my relationship with my friend,” he said. “But I treat her the same I have the same relationship with every woman who is a client.

“The moment someone wears my clothes, for the price I sell them at, they should expect the opportunity of a private moment with me. From the customer in the shop, to celebrities, to royalty, I deliver the same service.”

Karlie Kloss is taking wedding inspiration from recent royal bride, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.

The model announced her engagement to boyfriend Joshua Kushner in July (18), sharing a photo of the happy couple vacationing in Italy.

Karlie has been the dating 33-year-old businessman, the brother of U.S. President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, since 2012, and looking forward to the big day, she hopes she looks as happy as the former Suits star did when she married Prince Harry in May.

“(Meghan) looked gorgeous on her wedding day,” the 26-year-old gushed in an interview with Refinery 29. “I feel it’s a day that you want to just feel happy, beautiful, and not stressed. I think what makes someone most beautiful, especially on their wedding day, is when that glow comes from the inside.”

When it comes to the rest of her look, Karlie is adamant that her hair will be styled in an up-do “so you can dance and have a good time,” and she will most likely go for an understated natural make-up look.

While she admitted she’s “still kind of enjoying the engagement bliss,” the style star is preparing for a busy few weeks now that Fashion Month has kicked off.

And Karlie has already planned how she’ll spend her time once all spring 2019 presentations have concluded.

“When I have some time off, especially after a lot of travel, I really take the time to unplug and just completely ignore my devices,” she explained. “I sleep in, read, eat nourishing and delicious food, and spend time with my loved ones. It’s going into hibernation mode and really resetting.”

Stella McCartney selling replicas of Meghan, Duchess of Sussex’s reception dress

Stella McCartney is offering customers a chance to buy a replica of Meghan, Duchess of Sussex’s iconic wedding reception dress.

The British designer was praised for the elegant white halterneck she created for the royal bride’s evening event last month (May18), and as the dress has proved so popular with the public, she’s decided to create 46 versions of the outfit which she will sell in her flagship London store.

Created as part of the label’s Made with Love capsule collection, half of the gowns will be made in white, while the other half have been manufactured in black fabric.

While the former Suits star’s outfit was fabricated from silk crepe, the copies will instead consist of a sustainable viscose McCartney has developed.

All will retail at $4,626 (£3,500), but due to the small quantity available to purchase, potential buyers are required to email the Old Bond Street store directly and receive confirmation of an invite from McCartney before collecting the royal replica.

According to The Telegraph, these exquisite gowns will not be displayed on the shop floor and will instead be stored “in an exclusive exhibition area within her boutique”.

However, there is some consolation for the customers that miss out, as a spokesperson for the brand informed the publication that the fashion mogul intends to extend the Made with Love capsule into a special wedding collection for spring 2019.

The 46-year-old daughter of Paul McCartney had the privilege of dressing Meghan for two engagements before she married Prince Harry on 19 May, and recently shared that she was “very proud” to have been given the honour, and “thrilled, obviously” by the positive response to the dress.

“I think it was the last moment that she could reflect sort of the other side to her: the joy and the human within her,” she told the BBC.

Princess Diana refused to wear Chanel after her divorce

Princess Diana refused to wear Chanel after her divorce as the interlocking double C logo reminded her of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles.

Camilla, who went on to marry the British royal in 2005 and become the Duchess of Cornwall, dated Charles before he married Diana in 1981, with the pair also embarking on an affair during his time with the late princess.

And in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar Australia, designer Jayson Brunsdon has revealed that Charles and Camilla’s relationship was the reason why Diana declined to wear a pair of shoes from the luxury French label when they worked together in 1996.

“She came out holding like handfuls of shoes and bags and just dumped them all down on the couch,” Jayson recalled. “Then said, ‘What do you think?’, so I went through them all and I found a pair of Chanel shoes, and I said, ‘Well these would look great with the Versace,’ and she said, ‘No, I can’t wear linked Cs, the double C.’ So, I asked why, and she said, ‘It’s Camilla and Charles.'”

Diana and Charles’ divorce had only been finalised a few months before she flew Down Under, for her final visit to the country before her tragic death the following year.

On Saturday (May19), Diana’s youngest son, Prince Harry, will marry American actress Meghan Markle at Windsor Castle in England.

It’s not yet known who has designed the Suits star’s wedding dress, though some are speculating it could be David Emanuel, who created Diana’s gown, after he was spotted in Windsor on Thursday.

Speaking on a recent Fox TV special about the royal wedding, David also shared what he’d go for if he were the dress designer.

“What would I put Meghan in? Something sleek and clean, quite bodied with a long train, and I’d put her in a clinging silk crepe,” he stated, adding: “But, you know, she can’t be the sex bomb on her wedding day. She can look smouldering and wonderful, but it’s got to be regal.”

Meghan Markle has proved she’s not afraid to recycle wardrobe favourites after attending a pre-wedding afternoon tea with Queen Elizabeth II in a familiar ivory bodysuit.

Prince Harry and his bride-to-be were photographed arriving by car at Windsor Castle, England, on Thursday (17May18) as they joined the groom’s grandmother at a welcome event for immediate family members and select guests ahead of the royal wedding on Saturday (19May18).

And, according to style experts at People.com, the fashionable pussy-bow top Meghan chose to wear for the gathering was the same silk crepe bodysuit from Tuxe Bodywear that she stepped out in back in February (18), when she and Harry attended the Endeavour Fund Awards Ceremony at Goldsmith’s Hall in London.

The former Suits actress teamed the sleek look with a pair of Snowstorm Diamond Earrings in white gold from Birks, the same Canadian fine jewellery brand behind the yellow gold and opal earrings she selected for the pair’s official engagement announcement photos back in November (17).

Prince Harry’s brother and sister-in-law, Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, were also pictured en route to Windsor Castle for the afternoon tea, where guests included Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, and close friends Jessica Mulroney and Benita Litt, whose daughters have been chosen to serve as royal bridesmaids.

The celebratory gathering took place hours after Meghan issued a statement confirming that her father, Thomas Markle, will not be attending the high-profile nuptials after undergoing heart surgery on Wednesday (16May18).

“Sadly, my father will not be attending our wedding,” read the statement. “I have always cared for my father and hope he can be given the space he needs to focus on his health.”

She added, “I would like to thank everyone who has offered generous messages of support.”

Thomas had been due to walk his daughter down the aisle at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.

It is not known who will take his place, although her mum Doria is said to be a favourite to fill in for her ex-husband, as she will already be accompanying the bride in the car ride from Cliveden House Hotel, where mother and daughter will stay on the eve of the nuptials, to the ceremony.
