Ariana Grande used her time during self-isolation to reveal her natural curly locks on social media.

The No Tears to Cry hitmaker is famous for her trademark high ponytail, and if it isn’t slicked back on the top of her head, her waist-length brunette hair is usually styled poker straight.

However, as the Grammy winner stays at home amid the coronavirus lockdown, she took to Twitter and Instagram to wow fans with her real dark curls, which can be seen tumbling around her face and shoulders in the smouldering picture.

“Get a load a dis (sic),” Ariana captioned the snap.

Her curly locks are reminiscent of old childhood photos Ariana has previously shared with her fans, and her mother Joan chimed in with a sweet note of support for her daughter.

“Beyond stunning. Your natural hair/curls is a world of its own… a magnificent beauty you are inside and out/made up or natural … I love you…” she commented.

More than five million followers liked Ariana’s post on Instagram, and the Thank U, Next hitmaker’s famous friends showed their adoration for the singer’s natural hair.

“Here for this covid curl,” Katy Perry wrote, while Lil Nas X commented: “Beautiful.”

Jessie J and Zoey Deutch were also among the celebrities sharing the love on Ariana’s post, as well as designer Zac Posen and Moschino creative director Jeremy Scott, who wrote: “BEEEEEAAUUTY.”

Ariana previously removed her signature ponytail and showed off her long straight locks for the covers of U.S. Elle and British Vogue magazines back in 2018.

Ariana Grande enjoyed a princess moment during the 2020 Grammy Awards on Sunday night.

The Sweetener hitmaker, who skipped the bash last year after a reported spat with producer Ken Ehrlich, made her long-awaited return to the annual prestigious music event, which was held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Ariana stunned on the red carpet in an extravagant strapless grey Giambattista Valli haute couture gown, which featured a huge tiered tulle skirt.

The 26-year-old completed the look with matching gloves, 30-carat Lorraine Schwartz diamond earrings, and had her hair scraped back into her signature sky-high ponytail.

Shortly after posing in the Giambattista Valli gown, Ariana then changed into a Schiaparelli creation, which was comprised of an embellished charcoal grey crop top and voluminous light grey skirt.

“So, here’s the thing – I did the carpet in a custom Giambattista Valli dress and I loved it, and then I didn’t do the interview, so I came back in a different dress, because I couldn’t decide,” she told CBS.

Ariana went on to explain that it was a “huge progress” for her being able to even walk the red carpet on Sunday due to her anxiety.

“I’m so lucky. I had two, very special custom looks made. And I couldn’t decide! I was indecisive, so I decided to do it twice. Which is really huge progress for me, because usually, I cannot come within three feet of a red carpet without having a nervous breakdown,” the superstar shared.

Ariana was up for five prizes at the Grammy Awards, including Record of the Year for 7 Rings, but lost out to Billie Eilish for her track Bad Guy.

Ariana Grande fears all her hair will fall out while she’s performing onstage one day.

Since launching her music career in 2011, the No Tears Left to Cry singer has rarely been seen without her signature high ponytail.

However, during a teaser clip for the upcoming third episode of her new Dangerous Woman Diaries docuseries on YouTube, Ariana shared that her hairstyle can actually be quite painful – and she worries that every single strand will eventually give up.

“My nerves in my scalp are just like, ‘Whatever.’ They’ve just given up at this point. I used to get headaches, now my scalp’s just like, ‘Good luck today,'” she said. “I have this vision of me being on stage and one day just me being like, ‘I’m gonna be all right.’ Then I turn and from the root, all of it just gives up. From the root, all of it, all of it. Not like, ‘Oh, her extension fell out.’ I have this vision of each root being like, ‘Weee!'”

Last month (Nov18), Ariana took to Instagram to show off a shoulder-length bob haircut, having chopped off much of her very long ponytail. And over the years, the brunette beauty has been honest about her use of hair extensions to create her full ponytail, previously explaining that four years of dying her hair red to play Cat on television shows Victorious and Sam & Cat left her tresses “completely destroyed”.

“I wear extensions but I wear it in a ponytail because my actual hair is so broken that it looks absolutely ratchet and absurd when I let it down,” the 25-year-old wrote on her Instagram page back in 2015.

In the first episode of Ariana’s docuseries, which was released last Thursday, she took fans behind the scenes of her life, and showed her working on her album Sweetener with Pharrell, how she invited a fan from Paris to listen to the record before anyone else, and how filming the video for song The Light Is Coming with director Dave Meyers was much more difficult than she had anticipated.

“I’m trotting around on some really, really thick, invisible, slippery roots,” she sighed of the late-night forest shoot. “I thought I saw the treatment and read it and came up with it… But then I got here and realised that’s not what we’re doing.”

Ariana Grande has released new merchandise to coincide with her latest album, Sweetener.

The Problem hitmaker’s fourth album, the follow-up to 2016’s Dangerous Women, hit shelves on Friday (17Aug18), with Ariana giving fans double the sweetness with a line of T-shirts, hoodies and sweaters to complement the new music.

The six-piece collection comes in a colour palette of black, white and lavender, and features photos of her and the Sweetener track list. One crewneck sweater also has a photo of a baby, presumably a young Ariana, splashed across the front – a reference to her calling the album her “fourth baby”.

Items are available on the 25-year-old’s online shop, with prices ranging from $35 (£27) for a tee to $55 (£43) for a sweater.

The drop follows on the heels of Ariana’s label mate Nicki Minaj’s new line of merch and album, Queen.

The two singers were both meant to release their records on Friday, though Nicki surprised fans by making her newest music available a week earlier.

For her new fashion line, Nicki teamed with designer Don C, who often works with Nike and Air Jordan, though the pieces are only up for grabs for a few days. Fans have until Friday to get their hands on the Queen embossed T-shirts, which come in colours blue, black, white, yellow, or green and retail at $35 (£28).

“Surprise!!!!! Nicki x Just Don collab ‘Pick A K’ available NOW on http://nickiminajqueen.com until Friday at 12AM EST!!! @chicagodonc @justdon,” Nicki announced on Twitter.
