Taylor Swift rocked an eye-catching rainbow Versace outfit as she was honoured at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday.

The 29-year-old wore a colourful top, shorts and matching blazer in the Italian fashion house’s vibrant hibiscus print, along with Kat Maconie lace-up neon orange sandals, to the outdoor ceremony in Hermosa Beach in California.

Taylor accessorised with Misahara hoop earrings and rings by Irene Neuwirth, VRAM, and Emily P Wheeler.

The You Need to Calm Down hitmaker gave an empowering speech as she accepted the show’s first-ever Icon Award, telling her fans it’s “normal to make mistakes” as she clutched onto her custom surfboard award, which was emblazoned with pictures of her three cats, Meredith, Olivia, and Benjamin.

“If you’re out there and you’re being really hard on yourself right now for something that’s happened, or messing up or feeling embarrassed, it’s normal. That’s what going to happen to you in life. No one gets through unscathed. We’re all going to have a few scratches on us,” she said.

Zendaya, who scooped the Choice Summer Movie Actress prize for her role as MJ in Spider-Man: Far From Home, opted for a casual look on the blue carpet, and wore a yellow checked shirt and pastel green shorts by Jacquemus as well as white Le Silla heels.

Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale, who co-hosted the show, rocked a red leopard print minidress, Modern Family’s Sarah Hyland wore a cute pink scallop two-piece by Teresa Helbig with Loriblu shoes, and singer Halle Bailey, who is to portray Ariel in Disney’s live-action remake of The Little Mermaid, stunned in a chic Jonathan Simkhai cutout bodysuit with Zimmermann pants.

Lili Reinhart wowed in a pink sequin dress at the 2018 Teen Choice Awards on Sunday night (12Aug18).

The Riverdale star stepped out at the celebration held at The Forum in California, where she picked up the prize for Choice Drama TV Actress, while her show won a number of other awards including Choice Drama TV Show.

Lili walked the red carpet separately from her co-star and boyfriend Cole Sprouse, who won Choice Drama TV Actor, and certainly made a style statement in a number from Monique Lhuillier. The 21-year-old matched her ensemble with pink satin Olgana Paris shoes and jewellery from EF Collection.

“Moody sultry Elle Woods meets Vogue,” she captioned a snap of the look on her Instagram page, referring to Reese Witherspoon’s character in 2001 movie Legally Blonde.

Among the other Riverdale castmembers to dress up for the night included Madelaine Petsch, who sported a Giambattista Valli top and trousers featuring a floral print, while Camila Mendes looked stunning in a blush pink Fendi dress with strappy Sophia Webster heels.

In addition, 13 Reasons Why star Katherine Langford dazzled in a black lace Alberta Ferretti dress and Sergio Rossi shoes, Nina Dobrev rocked a lemon yellow minidress and Anna Kendrick opted for a pink and silver minidress as well as silver Giuseppe Zanotti high heels.

Meanwhile, Lucy Hale went all out in a striking Mary Katrantzou dress with plunging neckline which she complemented with Jimmy Choo pumps, Kat Kim bling and an Edie Parker clutch. To top off her eye-catching look, the Pretty Little Liars actress had her make-up artist Kelsey Deenihan give her a slick of green shadow on her lids.

“Poison ivy… we WENT for it tonight,” she wrote alongside a snap of her beauty look on her social media pages.

Other celebrities at the bash included Joey King, Chloe Grace Moretz, Bebe Rexha, Storm Reid and Meghan Trainor.

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex is in the running for the Style Icon prize at the 2018 Teen Choice Awards.

The event is due to take place on 12 August in Los Angeles, and the former Suits actress faces stiff competition from the likes of Blake Lively, Zendaya, Chadwick Boseman, hip-hop trio Migos, as well as last year’s winner, Harry Styles.

Meghan is the first member of the British royal family to ever receive a nomination for a Teen Choice Award, and her chance of winning the accolade is now left in the hands of voters between the ages of 13 and 19.

The 36-year-old’s style choices have proved to be extremely popular with fashion lovers since she went public with her relationship with her now-husband Prince Harry, and her Givenchy bridal gown designed by Clare Waight Keller, as well as her Stella McCartney halterneck evening dress, were widely praised when the couple tied the knot in May (18).

Her shopping habits have also had a huge impact on the fashion industry as a whole and triggered a phenomenon which has been dubbed the Meghan Effect, whereby clothes she’s been photographed wearing – such as the white belted coat by Line the Label she sported the day her engagement was announced – have subsequently sold out in a matter of hours.

Meghan’s influence means she has become a favourite client of many top designers, such as Spanish shoe mogul Manolo Blahnik, whose BB pumps she has showcased on multiple occasions.

“It is a great honour and joy to have my shoes worn by such a beautiful young lady,” Blahnik shared, according to Footwear News. “Meghan is well on her way to becoming a style icon of the 21st century.”
