Paris Hilton is launching a collection of merchandise which will help raise funds for coronavirus relief efforts.

On Monday, the socialite announced the release of the Sliving merchandise collection, named after the term – a portmanteau of slaying and living – that she coined and trademarked.

“Surprise! So many of you have been requesting for this! I am so excited to release my #sliving merch collection just for you guys! I hope you guys will love it as much as I do,” Paris wrote on Instagram.

In an accompanying video, the 39-year-old announced that some of the collection would help raise funds for coronavirus relief efforts.

“I’m really excited because this is my first time doing merch,” she said to the camera. “Proceeds from this merch are gonna go to charity, so it’s gonna be fun fashion for an amazing cause.”

Paris then stood in front of a rack of the merchandise and took fans through the clothing, which includes black, pink, and white T-shirts as well as hoodies and sweatshirts bearing her catchphrases – “sliving”, “loves it”, and “that’s hot”.

The hotel heiress then showed off the pink “quarantine hoodie”, which features an altered version of a poster for her 2000s reality TV series The Simple Life.

Under the title of the show, the word “Covid-19” has been added, while at the bottom of the poster, it reads, “This quarantine is not hot, b**ch.”

In the doctored poster, Paris and her co-star Nicole Richie are now wearing face masks.

A portion of the proceeds from the Covid-19 design will benefit Frontline Foods and go directly to local restaurants feeding frontline workers.

The merchandise store also sells black face masks featuring her catchphrases. For every mask bought, one will be donated to healthcare workers via a partnership with GetUsPPE.org.

Paris Hilton’s latest fragrance is inspired by her career as a DJ.

The 38-year-old heiress has just unveiled her 25th scent, which she insists captures the excitement of the nightlife scene.

”What I love most about being a DJ is the burst of energy I get on stage and bringing happiness to a crowd of people,” she told WWD. “I wanted to capture that feeling in a scent and celebrate the confident woman who is the life of the party.”

”Electrify was inspired by nightlife, me DJing, and just being on stage and performing in front of people and that amazing feeling I get where I feel like I’m electrified.”

Electrify features notes of apple, spring peony, magnolia, and Turkish rose.

The former The Simple Life star released her first fragrance in 2004, and now her huge perfume empire is estimated to be worth more than $2.5 billion.

And Paris admitted she is still in shock over how successful her lines have been.

“The first product I ever released was my perfume. It was such a huge success that I started expanding my empire. I now have 19 product lines, everything from skincare, make-up, perfumes, handbags, sunglasses, clothes, jewellery, lingerie, homewares – basically, every type of product you could think of,” the blonde star explained. “I have 25 fragrances. When I was a little girl, I always thought I would have one perfume. I had no idea I would have 25 one day.”

Nicole Richie is introducing swimwear to her House of Harlow 1960 x Revolve line.

The reality TV personality first launched her company in 2008 with a jewellery range, and has since gone on to expand into eyewear, accessories, footwear and apparel.

Nicole’s fashion collections are currently available to buy via the Revolve website, and she has now confirmed that she is gearing up to launch swimwear pieces.

“Swim is a strong category for Revolve definitely with the top three peak months, so it just made sense for the progression of the brand,” she told WWD of the concept. “We, last resort, came out with great footwear styles so this is more about completing that story.”

A teaser image for the swimwear collection shows a model posing in a brown two-piece with knotted detailing and a crossover strap.

Other key pieces are set to feature stripes and crochet, and will all align with Nicole’s own boho-chic aesthetic.

“It’s still very House of Harlow, really beautiful cover-ups to go with the swimwear so that it can transition into ready-to-wear,” the 37-year-old commented.

The first collection of 16 pieces will begin to drop on the Revolve site in January (19). Items will be priced from $68 to $198 (£54 – £157).

In addition to swimwear, Nicole is looking to add more categories to her business. And in an interview with Forbes in June, she explained that she was pleased to work with executives at online retailer Revolve, because that is where her target audience prefers to shop.

“This business has changed. The world has changed over the past 10 years, which is how long I’ve been in this,” the former The Simple Life star noted. “For me, this was a pretty simple decision because that’s where my customer is. You have to know where your customers are. And online is where they are.”

Paris Hilton has teamed up with Boohoo to launch a brand-new summer collection.

The line consists of 70 pieces inspired by the TV personality’s Beverly Hills home and reflects her favourite trends from the noughties. Animal prints, metallics and palm prints feature on ready-to-wear and swimwear pieces, as well as cheeky slogans such as Paris’ signature catchphrase – “That’s Hot.”

The 37-year-old told WWD that she discovered the UK-based online retailer on Instagram “and loved all their cute styles, designs and accessories”.

“I love working with them, everyone on their team is so amazing and passionate about the project we are doing together,” she added. “I had the best time on set shooting the campaign.”

The Boohoo x Paris Hilton collection is set to launch globally on 20 June (18) and has also paid homage to some of the star’s most famous outfits, such as the iconic silver chainmail dress she wore to her 21st birthday party.

And Natalie McGrath, vice president of marketing at Boohoo USA, insisted that the socialite took the lead when it came to the design process.

“It’s very Paris in terms of its design and aesthetic,” she explained. “We shared mood boards, she shared mood boards. She was very specific in terms of colourways she wanted, even down to the length of dresses and there were various iterations along the way. Someone like Paris has got a very credible, long-term career, so she wants to make sure everything is completely on brand, so she was involved heavily.”

As it stands, the collaboration is only intended for one season.

In addition to attending launch parties in Los Angeles and Paris, the former The Simple Life star will also promote the collection during her DJ events in Ibiza.

Nicole Richie refuses to compromise her personal style when it comes to public appearances.

The socialite rose to fame after appearing on reality series The Simple Life alongside childhood best friend Paris Hilton from 2003 to 2007. The show’s success meant that plenty of top talk shows were keen to have Nicole as a guest who, back then, struggled with how to present herself.

“I remember when I did my first round of press for TV right after the first season of The Simple Life and… for whatever reason, I felt like I needed to present myself in a certain way,” she shared in an interview with Paper magazine. “I remember thinking, for example, When I go on a talk show, I have to wear a dress and heels – this is the talk show attire. And that was something I always struggled with because it wasn’t me.”

The 36-year-old crafted her own individual look as she got older, and finally insisted she would only wear outfits she felt totally comfortable in.

“It’s little things, like I don’t wear red lipstick when I’m going to do a talk show,” she explains. “If I have to speak, it’s just not who I am. I just can’t do it. Also – I’m cold all the time, so if there’s an opportunity for me to throw a turtleneck under something or wear something that’s beautiful and long-sleeved, I will absolutely do it.”

The Great News actress also refuses to “hide behind a lot of hair or a lot of make-up” and is a big fan of bright colours and bold prints.

“It gives my 5’1″ soul a little bit of height to wear something that’s going to elevate my mood,” she laughed.

Nicole is also founder of her own fashion label, House of Harlow 1960, which celebrates its 10th birthday this year.
