50 Cent is worried people will “get fat” while they stay at home during the coronavirus crisis.
In a chat for The Wall Street Journal Magazine’s My Monday Morning column, the rapper urged his fans to abide by health officials’ guidance to practice social distancing and stay at home as the pandemic worsens around the world.
However, 50 Cent encouraged people to try and do some daily exercise too.
”Keep your social distance. Being conscious of that,” he commented. “But a lot of people are not making adjustments, so they’re just going to sit home and they’re going to get fat. They’ll get fat.”
As reported cases of coronavirus approach 382,000 around the world, governments are taking extreme measures to stop the disease from spreading further.
Currently self-isolating at his home in New York, 50 Cent also described his efforts to stick to a regular exercise routine without the help of a trainer.
”On Mondays, I trained with a trainer for a very long time. I’ve been doing it by myself recently, but I’m going to start training out with these really fit girls,” the 44-year-old stated, before going on to clarify that he meant he was working out with the help of online training videos posted by women on social media. “Yeah, on Instagram, stuff like that. For me, it’s something like, I don’t want to not be able to do it when it’s a girl telling me to do it. When you’re training legs, you should definitely train with women, because that’s all they train. After a while you’re like, ‘Yo, what is this?’ You know what I’m saying? Like, ‘What the f**k you all been doing in here?'”
During self-isolation, working out is not the only task keeping 50 Cent busy. He is currently producing a TV drama called For Life and is set to publish a self-help book, titled Hustle Harder, Hustle Smarter, in late April.
