Kim Kardashian has a replica of her Met Gala corset specially made after losing the original.
The 39-year-old reality star and beauty mogul wore a custom skintight Thierry Mugler gown for last year’s prestigious fashion event in New York, which was complemented by a bespoke piece by famous corsetier Mr. Pearl.
Kim took to Instagram to confess that she had misplaced the corset shortly after attending the star-studded event, so flew to London to get another one made to add to her extensive wardrobe archive.
“Just found this in my phone from my special trip to London last year to meet w Mr. Pearl,” she wrote alongside a short clip of her posing in a hotel room mirror wearing the waist-cinching corset.
“I wore a corset like this for the Met Ball for my @manfredthierrymugler Camp look but the corset was misplaced that night, and I want it so badly preserved for my archive that I flew to London to have another made for the archive,” Kim added, alongside a face plant emoji that seemingly described her frustration at losing the one-of-a-kind piece.
The KKW Beauty founder then teased her fans and followers, and revealed she and her team have been hard at work creating extravagant outfits for her upcoming 40th birthday celebrations in October.
“We also might have started making a few more looks including my special 40th bday look. Can’t wait to show you the LOOKSSSS we’ve been cooking up,” the mother-of-four added.
