Clint Eastwood wants to keep making movies well into his nineties.

The 89-year-old released new film Richard Jewell, which tells the story of the 1996 Atlanta Olympics bombing, late last year.

And in a new interview with U.K. TV show This Morning, Eastwood vowed that the feature will not mark the last time he steps behind the camera.

“I like doing it, it’s nice to be able to have a paying job,” he said, before noting that he originally began directing in the 1970s to ensure he could stay in movies once people tired of seeing him onscreen. “I like being in films, I like making films and I started directing films because I thought one day I’m going to look up onscreen and say, ‘That’s enough Eastwood, you’d better do something else.’ So, I thought, ‘If I direct, I can let other people be on screen.'”

The Dirty Harry star also opened up about the moment he knew he could direct – which came when he was shooting Western TV series Rawhide in the late 1950s.

“Years ago, I was doing a series called Rawhide,” Eastwood explained. “You have all these scenes on horseback, we’d ride in and pull up there right in front of the camera. When they’d yell ‘action’ the horses would just go crazy. I asked one of the directors, ‘Why don’t you just not say ‘action,’ why don’t you just say ‘go’ instead.’ And sure enough, they tried it and it worked.”

Elsewhere, Eastwood revealed he still owns the poncho he wore in 1964 western classic A Fistful of Dollars.

“I still have that, yeah… It’s sitting in a glass case. Never been washed,” he smiled.

Karen Elson was once nearly fired from a modelling gig for turning up late and hungover.

The British supermodel has opened up about a variety of “firsts” in a new video for British Vogue, and during the chat, revealed that she first experienced a hangover after a wild night out in Tokyo, Japan when she was there on a work trip.

“My first hangover was pretty fabulous, honestly. I was in Tokyo and I was 16 years old, modelling,” she recalled. “I had gone out and we drank sake all night, and absinthe, I think I tried. I had such a terrible hangover (the next day) and my agency almost kicked me out of Tokyo because I showed up an hour late to work. Fun though.”

The 41-year-old also remembered her first-ever modelling job, as a teenager sporting party clothes on British daytime show This Morning, and how the make-up artist drew lips on her that with three times with the size of her natural pout.

She then reminisced about her “I’ve made it” moment, which came when she was 18 years old in 1997 and had scored her first-ever magazine cover with Vogue Italia, in which she sported short red hair and thick semicircles of red paint above her eyes.

“The first ‘I’ve made it’ moment has to be my first Vogue cover, Italian Vogue cover, with Steven Meisel, Pat McGrath doing make-up, where she shaved my eyebrows off, and I cut my hair off and dyed it punk, bright red,” she said. “That was the first moment when I saw that cover where I pinched myself and went, ‘Oh my God, I’m on a cover of Vogue.’ It was just the most magical.”

Amanda Seyfried is open to a little cosmetic surgery as long as there are no needles involved.

The Mamma Mia! star has always been a natural beauty, but now she’s a mum in her mid-thirties, she’s beginning to look at methods to keep her youthful glow.

“I believe in looking your best naturally… but I am getting tempted,” she said during a recent appearance on U.K. TV show This Morning. “There’s things that seem to be getting less and less invasive. I don’t like needles, but maybe I could do that.”

But Amanda, who shares a two-year-old daughter with husband Thomas Sadoski, said she will never be a big fan of make-up, adding, “I feel really confident without make-up on. I don’t feel the most beautiful – but I feel confident.

“I don’t wear make-up on when I go to the airport and on planes, sometimes I am like, ‘I should put in a little more effort’, but I just don’t care, I feel confident.”

Elsewhere in the interview, the 34-year-old revealed she hated having light blonde highlights in her hair for Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again back in 2018 because it made her locks “straw-like”.

Amanda, who reprised her role as Sophie in the musical sequel, recalled the “horrible” experience and was relieved that her hair managed to bounce back and is now in great condition.

“I had to get highlights for Mamma Mia! 2 because it was taking place five years later as opposed to the 10 that actually went by. So, my hair had gotten darker over time,” she explained. “I was like, ‘You know what, we live on a Greek island, you would have sun-kissed hair, you’ve got to dye it.’ It was horrible. Because it gets straw-like.”

Victoria Beckham regrets wearing too much lip liner during her days in the Spice Girls.

The fashion designer, who recently launched her Victoria Beckham Beauty brand, was asked about her make-up fails during an interview with British talk show This Morning, and she pinpointed one look from the American Music Awards more than 20 years ago.

“There have been way too many! Way too much lip liner in the Spice Girls, way too much lip liner,” Beckham shared. “The American Music Awards was probably my worst ever make-up look. It was just a lot of everything. A lot of eye, a lot of lip, a LOT of blush but you know, it was the 90’s.

“I look back at those pictures and it makes me smile. It’s been a journey, it’s brought me to where I am and made me realise that quite often, you know, less is better.”

Elsewhere in the interview, the mother-of four revealed that she’s okay with growing older, and wants to look good for age, rather than trying to look younger.

“I’m fine with growing older. I’m not trying to look any younger at all. I just wanna look good for my age,” the 45-year-old explained. “I want to look like the best version of myself. I want to look after what I have. I don’t really want to change anything. And I’m okay with that. I like how getting older feels… I’m okay with how it looks, because it is what it is. Everybody is going to get older. (But) I don’t love how it sounds.”

Jean Paul Gaultier has divulged that he proposed to Madonna on three different occasions.

The fashion designer, known for his groundbreaking couture collections, was asked during an interview with British talk show This Morning on Wednesday if he’s always been a bit in love with the Vogue star, to which he replied, “I was kind of.”

Gaultier then went on to explain that he had even asked for his frequent collaborator’s hand in marriage, but she always turned him down.

“I asked her to marry me three times… and she said no,” the 67-year-old commented, before insisting they are still close friends.

Madonna first wore one of Gaultier’s designs to the premiere of Desperately Seeking Susan in 1985, and the Frenchman went on to create the iconic cone bra she wore onstage during her Blonde Ambition tour in the 1990s.

Since then, they have teamed on costumes for the pop singer’s Confessions tour in 2006, and her MDNA gigs in 2012, and even attended last year’s Met Gala together as each other’s dates.

The theme of the prestigious fashion event was Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination, and the Like a Prayer hitmaker turned to Gaultier to create her goth queen look.

Her black gown featured a fitted bodice and a sheer cross cutout, complete with a black veil and a cross-adorned crown.

At the time, the 60-year-old’s stylist told People that the mother-of-six considers Gaultier to be family.

“Madonna and Jean Paul have had quite a history together, so it was a wonderful family reunion and quite the fashion throwback,” Eyob Yohannes stated. “It was lovely to work with Jean Paul who has such a creative eye.”

Helen Mirren has an issue with the word “beauty”, and wants a new word for people to use as a compliment.

The 73-year-old Oscar-winning actress, who is an ambassador for L’Oreal, said in a recent interview that she wants others to focus on achievements – rather than looks – when giving out praise.

“Sometimes I clean up nice with a lot of help… So I want a new word instead of ‘beautiful,'” Mirren said during an appearance on British show This Morning. “I think ‘being’ is a good word. My ‘being’ tip is really to be curious and interested in other people and not think too much about yourself. Give your attention to other people and that has a way of making you, if you like, more beautiful in many ways.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Mirren confessed she sometimes cuts her own hair with the kitchen scissors, even before red carpet events.

“I do often cut my own hair,” Mirren shared. “I said to my brilliant hair guy here, Stefan, ‘The cut I have right now, Stefan, is something that I did with the kitchen scissors about a week ago in my kitchen. So you know, maybe you could clean it up a bit for me?’ So yes, I do cut my own hair.”

The British actress, who won an Academy Award for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II in 2006’s The Queen, previously revealed she hated going to the hair salon every six weeks, so took matters into her own hands.

“I only go about once a year,” she told Redbook magazine in 2014. “In between, I get out the scissors and do something, usually rather disastrously.”

Elle Macpherson is under scrutiny for suggesting people replace dinners with meal replacement shakes in a bid to lose weight.

The Australian is one of the most famous supermodels in the world and is renowned for her lithe figure, which even earned her the nickname ‘The Body’ in the late 1980s.

As a result, British daytime television show This Morning recently recruited Elle to bestow advice for healthy living as the weather hots up, but viewers were shocked to learn that the fashion icon skips meals and relies on liquid dinners in order to stay in shape.

“Sometimes I’ll use it (a shake) as a meal replacement in the evenings,” the 54-year-old shared. “If I’ve had a really strong breakfast or a strong lunch I can get away with having a protein shake for dinner.”

The mother-of-two insisted that this method is intended for targeted weight loss as opposed to a long-term diet plan but claimed meal replacement shakes provide a “really helpful” way to get bikini body ready.

However, viewers of the programme were stunned by the idea that women had to slim down in order to go to the beach.

“Why are @thismorning promoting ‘beach body ready’ with @ellemacpherson talking about how she sometimes replaces dinner with a protein shake? NO,” one Twitter user exclaimed. “The only way to be beach body ready is by putting on suncream and a swimsuit.”

While another described Elle’s presentation as a “ridiculous” segment of the programme.

The former Britain & Ireland’s Next Top Model host also shared details of the food she does consume, explaining that she decided to switch to a plant-based, alkaline diet when she turned 50.

“I realised there’s been such a change not only in the silhouette of my body but how I feel and my general wellbeing,” she smiled.
