Gisele Bundchen, Naomi Campbell and Gigi Hadid have donated items from their closets to a fundraising auction and pop-up shop.

The high-profile faces from the world of fashion, including Karlie Kloss, Bella Hadid, Joan Smalls and Amber Valletta, generously gave clothing and accessories from their personal collections to the Supermodel Flea Market auction to support The Toni Garrn Foundation.

Garrn launched her namesake foundation back in 2016 to help support educational and healthcare initiatives for women and girls in African countries such as Burundi, Ghana, Uganda, and Rwanda.

While Gigi has cleaned out her closet and donated 100 items to the flea market, Gisele is another generous donor, and has even handed over the Alexander McQueen clutch that she took to the Met Gala back in 2011.

Garrn has also donated some of her own personal belongings, including a monochrome Oscar de la Renta gown and Jimmy Choo fringe boots.

The 27-year-old was prompted to create her foundation when she took part in a photoshoot for Chloe in South Africa more than 10 years ago and noticed the inequality between young boys and girls.

“Seeing how it was not equal just felt so unfair… Obviously, there are many issues but it usually comes down to – there is no infrastructure and the poverty. That is the number-one issue, that girls don’t go to school,” she told WWD.

According to the publication, shoppers have three opportunities to get their hands on the goods – an online auction and buy-now sale and a pop-up shop at the 11 Howard hotel in New York, which will also feature more than 1,000 items.

The pop-up will be open to the public from 13 to 15 September, and include clothing and accessories from luxury fashion houses such as Chanel, Givenchy, Saint Laurent, Prada, Oscar de la Renta, Miu Miu, Viktor & Rolf, Christian Louboutin, and Jimmy Choo.

The online auction and shop will end on 30 November.

Helen Mirren has traded in her silver hair for a new pink hue.

The British Dame unveiled the fun colour at The Best Years of a Life premiere at the Cannes Film Festival over the weekend.

The pink tinge matched her floor-sweeping, rose gold Elie Saab dress and Chopard jewellery perfectly. The gown, shown at the label’s couture spring/ summer 19 show, features sequin detailing and a cinched-in waist, as well as draping to reveal one shoulder.

The dye job was only temporary though, as Helen was back to her silver roots for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s Philanthropic party in the French city on Sunday night.

Other stars to shine on the red carpet at the screening of the French language film included Andie MacDowell, Priyanka Chopra, Iskra Lawrence, Monica Bellucci, Toni Garrn and Martha Hunt.

Andie, who starred alongside Helen in 2001 TV movie On the Edge, went for a structured one-shoulder white top and teamed the garment with a pair of wide-legged grey trousers. The pair happily posed together for waiting snappers, with both blowing kisses to the camera.

Priyanka upped the glam factor in a tiered white Georges Hobeika gown, which was reminiscent of a wedding dress. Her husband Nick Jonas joined her at the premiere, donning an all-white suit.

Plus-size model and L’Oreal ambassador Iskra wore a custom-made red sequinned number by Valdrin Sahiti, Monica was dressed by Dior in a plunging black dress with a statement alligator necklace, Toni went for a structured purple and a burgundy and violet asymmetric silk Ralph & Russo design, while Martha glowed in a gold mini dress.

Hugo Boss has tapped Toni Garrn to front a new capsule collection inspired by the brand’s heritage.

The luxury label has designed a new line called Boss ‘Made in Germany’, a 12-piece capsule for men and women all envisioned and manufactured in the nation.

Chief brand officer Ingo Wilts told WWD that the brand was “proud to be the biggest premium fashion-maker in Germany” and wished to celebrate its origins in the latest limited-edition project.

The collection has been based on Hugo Boss’ signature tailoring and used exclusively developed Italian fabrics to reinvigorate six pieces for men and six for women.

Men’s garments include a checked double-breasted coat, a twill suit, a crewneck sweater and an embossed leather bomber jacket, while women are able to purchase items such as a checked pencil dress, a wool mohair mixed rollneck pullover and a silk bow blouse.

“We also know that whenever we go outside Germany, in France or Asia, for example, they really appreciate (articles) made in Germany,” Wilts added.

He also explained that the collection took some inspiration from the characters played by Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway in the 1968 heist movie The Thomas Crown Affair, but insisted that the pieces “fit perfectly well into (the brand’s) overall colour range and sports tailoring direction this season.”

The Made in Germany capsule is hitting select Boss stores worldwide and will go live online from 1 October (18), while being supported by a campaign featuring Garrn as well as Spanish-German actor Daniel Bruhl.

Elle Fanning pulled out all the stops for the Berlin International Film Festival on Thursday night (15Feb18).

The actress walked the red carpet at the Potsdamer Platz square prior to the opening ceremony of the event and premiere of movie Isle of Dogs.

Once again proving her flair for fashion, Elle posed up a storm in a dramatic Valentino gown that featured a white satin skirt and flowing orange top which was pulled together with a pale blue bow at the centre.

The 19-year-old, who is at the festival to promote her crime drama Galveston, matched her look with natural make-up as well as a swipe of black eyeliner, and had her signature blonde hair pulled back into a high bun.

Among the other celebrities to make a sartorial statement was Lady Bird director Greta Gerwig, who voices a character in Isle of Dogs. The star sported a sheer black gown covered in sequin appliques from Valentino, which she accessorised with black heels and jewellery from Ara Vartanian.

Greta posed for photographers with her Isle of Dogs co-star Tilda Swinton, who opted for a monochromatic suit from Chanel that featured wide-leg trousers and a high-neck white shirt.

Other cast members from the movie in attendance included Bryan Cranston, Liev Schreiber and Jeff Goldblum, who all suited up for the night.

Meanwhile, Helen Mirren looked elegant in a grey off-the-shoulder Rami Al Ali tea-length gown which she complemented with a silver Jimmy Choo clutch, while Patricia Clarkson wore a Christian Siriano outfit comprised of a black top and long silver skirt.

Model Toni Garrn also turned heads at the event, donning a minimalist white dress with thin straps made for her by departing Hugo Boss womenswear designer Jason Wu.
