Led Zeppelin are celebrating the 50th anniversary of their iconic self titled album by teaming up with Vans for a new footwear line.

The rockers announced the release of the exciting new item via Twitter, sharing a collage featuring two versions of the shoes. The low tops include the symbols from their fourth record, Led Zeppelin IV, while the high tops display the image of their debut release, featuring the 1937 Hindenburg disaster. Both styles have a black base with white and red writing.

Included in the social media slideshow are a glimpse of t-shirts and hats featuring similar designs.

Several notable musicians, including Pearl Jam, Kiss, Slayer, Motorhead and Iron Maiden, have teamed with Vans in recent years, and a release inspired by David Bowie is also expected to drop later this year (19).

The Led Zep pieces will be available from 22 February (19).

This isn’t the first piece of merchandise Robert Plant and his bandmates have inspired to commemorate the anniversary. Last month (Jan19), they joined forces with the outerwear brand Burton to release a limited-edition Misty Mountain Hop snowboard, also adorned with imagery from the 1969 release. They also released a special t-shirt featuring an artful logo accompanied by the number 50, which they offered through their official online store.

In October (18), the band marked the release of their first LP by releasing the book Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin, which features a collection of rare images selected by the group.

Bosses at a paparazzi agency have filed suit against model Gigi Hadid, demanding damages over her unauthorised use of their photo.

The runway regular was threatened with legal action back in October (18) after she posted an Instagram image of herself that she had found on Twitter.

She removed the snap days later, but it had already been spotted by officials at Xclusive-Lee Inc., who contacted her manager and notified Gigi of their plans to sue for failing to license the image from them first.

Hadid hit back by launching into a tirade online, fuming about the potential lawsuit as she expressed her distress at being constantly hounded by the paparazzi.

Gigi claimed she would have openly credited the snapper had she known “which of the 15+ photographers outside that day took these exact photos” or if they had reached out before taking her to court.

Xclusive-Lee executives have now made good on their lawsuit promise, and are demanding damages for the illegal image use and any profits the model may have made from it.

In their legal papers, obtained by The Blast, they also insist Hadid should have known better as she was previously sued in 2017 for a similar picture rights issue. That case has since been settled.

In addition to damages, the plaintiffs are also seeking an injunction against the model, preventing her from using any of their images ever again.

Kendall Jenner slammed by fans as ‘raw story’ is unveiled as Proactiv deal

Kendall Jenner has been slammed by fans after her “raw story” was revealed to be about her battle with acne.

On Sunday night (06Jan19), brand executives announced that Kendall is the new face of spot-busting skincare range Proactiv, with the 23-year-old model reflecting on how much acne has affected her life in a TV advert for the company.

“I remember going online and seeing all the horrible things people were saying about me,” Kendall said in the commercial. “I can honestly say the magic was Proactiv.”

While the new gig is the latest in a string of lucrative deals for Kendall, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star found herself at the centre of backlash from fans after it was announced – as her mother Kris Jenner had been hyping up the announcement for days beforehand.

Sharing a cryptic clip featuring Kendall promising to “help others” by sharing her story, Kris wrote on Twitter on Saturday: “Seeing you share your most raw story in order to make a positive impact for so many people and help foster a positive dialogue is a testament to the incredible woman you’ve become. Make sure to watch Kendall’s Twitter on Sunday night to find out what I’m talking about and be prepared to be moved.”

She added the hashtags: “#bethechange #shareyourstory #changetheconversation #proudmom #finallyasolution #authenticity #mydaughterinspiresme #getready.”

And following the announcement of the Proactiv deal, many fans took to Twitter to express their anger at the way in which Kendall’s “story” had been promoted.

“Women are coming forward every day about being victims to rape, sexual assault, abuse etc and Kendall Jenner is gonna hype up and announce her problem with acne,” one wrote, while another labelled the family “truly disgusting” and added: “Kris Jenner should be ashamed of herself for hyping this nonsense in the manner she did! This whole family just truly disgusting!

“Real life issues out there like coming out or crippling disorders that keep you from leaving the house & she comes up with those ridiculous hashtags (sic).”

Neither Kendall nor Kris have responded to the controversy as yet.

Filmmaker Kevin Smith launched 2019 by beginning work on the long-awaited Jay and Silent Bob reboot.

The actor/director took to Twitter on New Year’s Day (01Jan19) to reveal that the project was inching ever closer to production, after previously confirming he had written a draft script for a sequel to the 2001 cult stoner comedy, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, in the summer of 2017.

Now Smith, who starred as mute co-protagonist Silent Bob in the movie he also directed, is preparing to get its follow-up, tentatively titled Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, in front of cameras in the near future.

The film would reunite Smith with friend and co-star Jason Mewes and producer Jordan Monsanto, 24 years after the two titular characters made their debuts on 1994 movie Clerks.

“Spent the first day of 2019 having a #JayAndSilentBobReboot pre-pre-production meeting,” he captioned a snap of himself and Jordan.

“@JayMewes took this pic of me and @JordanMonsanto to both mark the moment and to document that we were the only dopes in Hollywood working on the holiday.”

Smith and Mewes went on to reprise their characters for small appearances in Kevin’s other films, including 1995’s Mallrats, 1997’s Chasing Amy, and Dogman in 1999, before stepping out in their own 2001 project, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.

The two co-stars last rekindled their onscreen friendship for 2006’s Clerks 2.

Further details about the Jay and Silent Bob Reboot have yet to be revealed, but last July (18), Smith teased the additions of The Flash actor Grant Gustin, and his TV co-stars Tom Cavanagh and Carlos Valdes to the cast, although it’s not clear what roles they will each take on.

The original Jay and Silent Bob film was an all-star affair, with appearances by Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Will Ferrell, Chris Rock, and Mark Hamill.

Amber Heard has rejected claims she suffered a “malfunction” by choosing not to wear a bra in public.

The Aquaman actress was snapped by photographers at a London airport over the weekend (24-25Nov18) while wearing a casual black suit and white vest, with a reporter at the Mail Online sharing the photos and describing the braless look as a “wardrobe malfunction”.

However, Amber has now blasted the publication over the headline and asserted that there is nothing wrong with women dressing to please themselves.

“I don’t care what people have to say about my fashion choices,” she told Entertainment Tonight of the controversy. “I dress for my own self. However, to say I had a malfunction because you could see my body? I’m not ashamed of it. I don’t care how it looks to you or the effect it has on you. How dare you tell me it’s a malfunction? My nipples or any part of me are not a malfunction.”

In addition, Amber took to Twitter to upload a screenshot of the article about her outfit and reiterated her argument in the accompanying caption.

“I’m sorry, but what part of my – or any woman’s – nipples a ‘malfunction’? Come on, do we really need to remind ‘journalists’ that if it is okay for a man then the same should apply for a woman? #notamalfunction #choice,” the 32-year-old wrote.

Amber’s decision to step out without a bra is the second time the star has made a sartorial statement in recent days.

On Monday, the blonde beauty also made a splash when she walked the red carpet at the London premiere of Aquaman in a glittering green Valentino gown which was matched with a swimming cap-inspired headpiece.

“Why make a wave when you can make a splash,” she wrote alongside a close-up of the ensemble on her Instagram page following the star-studded event.

Kelly Clarkson despises working out

Kelly Clarkson has opened up about how hard she finds it to work out.

The Since U Been Gone hitmaker has struggled with her weight since shooting to fame as the first champion of hit reality show American Idol back in 2002, but earlier this year (18), she shared that she had dropped 37 pounds (16 kilograms) after adopting a new diet and exercise regime.

However, on Thursday (01Nov18), Kelly shared a candid post on Twitter explaining how she much she dislikes going to the gym.

“This just in…. I still hate working out. I’m sweaty, red, and not any thinner. People say it’s good for your heart…. but people also say red wine is good for your heart,” she wrote, before going on to underscore her love of wine. “I mean, I’m just stating facts here people. Who am I to ignore science?! #cardioversuswine.”

Accordingly, a number of Kelly’s 12.4 million Twitter followers responded to her message, offering up funny memes and kind words of encouragement.

“Dark chocolate is also good for your heart! Don’t forget that too!” one user replied, while another added, “If you flex when you lift the wine to your lips, it burns more calories #WINWIN #wine.”

A third insisted: “Hun, you’re perfect the way you are. Drink all the red wine!!!!”

In June, Kelly showed off her new figure at a series of red carpet events. And the 36-year-old, who shares two young children with husband Brandon Blackstock, explained in an interview with NBC’s Today show that she had been following a clean eating diet inspired by Dr. Steven R. Gundry’s book The Plant Paradox.

“I had an autoimmune disease and a thyroid problem that started in like 2006,” the star commented. “I read this book… it might not work for you but it worked wonderfully. Here’s the best part, ya’ll, it’s not even the weight – I mean, I know the industry loves the weight gone, but I mean, for me, it wasn’t really the weight. For me it was like, I’m not on my medicine anymore. My bloodwork came back and I haven’t been on my medicine since like February.”

Justin Bieber has shaved off nearly all of his hair – months after vowing to grow his locks “to his toes”.

The Canadian popstar has been sporting shaggy, shoulder-length hair of late, and in May (18), he uploaded videos to social media showing him shaking his long tresses, to which he added the captions, “Long hair don’t care and my stash is gorgeous” and “I’m going to grow my hair down to my toes.”

However, he took to Twitter on Tuesday (30Oct18) to upload a filtered selfie of him with a fresh buzzcut. He did not add any further comments to the post.

Yet, Justin’s new look quickly caught the attention of his online followers, with many praising his new look.

“Justin Bieber cutting his hair is the best thing to happen to me in 2018,” one Twitter user wrote, while another commented, “Justin Bieber CUT HIS HAIR! This is not a drill. Praise God!!”

A third excitedly added: “OUR PRAYERS CAME TRUE JUSTIN BIEBER CUT HIS HAIR.”

While he was once known for his signature side-swept tresses, Justin has been pushing the boundaries with his look for several years now. The Sorry hitmaker has experimented with a natural light brown shade, cornrows, lilac hair and blonde highlights, while he also previously shaved his head in April 2016 after trying out short dreadlocks.

Even though Justin hasn’t shared any more details about his new hair, he did leave a comment on his new wife Hailey Baldwin’s Instagram page on Tuesday after she announced that she is starring in fashion brand Pretty Little Thing’s holiday campaign and posted a photo of herself posing in a silver fringe dress and glittery stilettos.

“Holy c**p this is hot,” the 24-year-old wrote in the comments section of the snap.

Ashley Graham: ‘I’m not about making fat look cool’

Ashley Graham has hit back at critics who have accused her of “making fat look cool”.

The 30-year-old model is arguably the most famous plus-size model in the fashion industry right now, and frequently shows off her stunning curves in eye-catching ensembles.

Though her promotion of size inclusivity has seen her attract some negative comments from trolls in recent months, the U.S. star now shared her response to such criticism.

“There is one guy who said to me, ‘Stop making fat look cool, you are going to kill somebody.’ The teachable moment there is that I am not making anything cool except for confidence and people feeling great about themselves,” Ashley said in an interview with Britain’s Glamour magazine. “I think for someone to look at me and place me in a box is very small-minded. Yeah, I’ve got fat and I have got lots of it, but I am not sitting here saying that fat is cool; what I am saying is that you are cool no matter how large or small you are.”

Being famous in a world where social media is so prominent means Ashley regularly has to face mean remarks on sites such as Twitter and Instagram.

However, the Sports Illustrated beauty has learned not to let the cruel comments get to her.

“No one has power to make you feel bad about yourself unless you give them that power,” she said. “You shouldn’t take anything anyone says on social media to heart because that is just a person writing their own insecurity to you. At the end of the day, it isn’t about addressing the haters, it’s about addressing them with a teachable moment.”

Romee Strijd is supporting Kendall Jenner after she made some controversial comments about modelling.

Earlier in the week (begs20Aug18), Kendall claimed in an interview with Love magazine that she was “super selective” about what runway presentations she appears in and would never be able to do “30 shows a season or whatever the f**k those girls do”.

Accordingly, she was the target of online backlash, with many models upset by the insinuation that anyone in the industry can be selective with their work – though Dutch fashion star Romee has now defended her former Victoria’s Secret runway colleague.

“Everybody has their own ways of getting into modelling, and I think she worked her way up a different way than other models did,” she told Metro.co.uk at Victoria’s Secret bra fitting event. “It doesn’t mean she didn’t work! It was just different way!”

After Kendall’s Love magazine comments appeared on social media, models ranging from Leomie Anderson to Daria Strokous condemned the 22-year-old for being out of touch over the realities of the fashion world for models who don’t come from privileged backgrounds.

And the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star was later forced to clarify her words and claimed in a Twitter message that she had been “misrepresented”.

“I was misrepresented in a recent interview over the wknd (weekend) & it’s important to clarify the meaning,” she began. “It was intended to be entirely complimentary but unfortunately, my words were twisted & taken out of context. I want to be clear. The respect that I have for my peers is immeasurable!

“I get to experience first-hand their tireless commitment, their work ethic, the endless days, the lack of sleep, separation from family and friends, stress of travelling, the toll on physical and mental health, yet they still make it all look effortless and beautiful.”

Representatives for Love magazine have yet to respond to Kendall’s accusation that her words were “twisted” by editors at the publication.

Lili Reinhart has hit back at critics who have attempted to shame her over body dysmorphia.

The actress, best known for portraying Betty Cooper on The CW drama series Riverdale, has been open about her battles with body image, anxiety and depression in recent interviews.

However, in a string of messages posted on Twitter on Wednesday (04Jul18), she shared that she had been targeted by online trolls who had argued that she was too thin to suffer from body dysmorphia, a disorder characterised by the obsessive idea that some aspect of one’s own body or appearance is severely flawed.

“Feeling really disheartened by the fact that so many people are saying ‘you’re skinny so shut up about embracing your body.’ As if my body dysmorphia is irrelevant because of how I look to some people,” she wrote. “I’m either not curvy enough or not skinny enough to feel insecure.”

Lili has previously stated that her body image issues began when she was 16 and her metabolism slowed down.

Accordingly, she also shared in one of her new tweets that those doubting people with low self-esteem can cause even more problems.

“Mental illness gets worse when people say that you don’t have a right to feel the way you do. That’s where we are failing. Do not encourage this behaviour. It is destructive. More destructive than you’ll ever realise. You may not understand someone’s insecurity – but respect it,” the 21-year-old noted.

In a wide-ranging interview with U.S. Harper’s Bazaar published earlier this week, Lili said she was committed to presenting her authentic self in the media and embracing her flaws, especially in regards to her struggles with cystic acne.

And the Cleveland native, who is currently dating her Riverdale co-star Cole Sprouse, is adamant that the way she looks on the red carpet and in photoshoots isn’t how she appears in her everyday life.

“I’m not that flawless image person,” she insisted. “I could never live up to that. I’m not going to make people think I’m this airbrushed version of myself. There are lots of versions of me.”
