Josephine Skriver has been forced to postpone her upcoming wedding amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The Danish model, who got engaged to musician Alexander DeLeon in November 2018, has revealed that they’ve pushed back their nuptials until next year in order to keep their family and friends safe.
“We’re just happy that our family and friends are happy and healthy,” the 27-year-old told People. “It was a tough decision to make. When you wait for a moment your entire life and then have to postpone, it’s never easy.
“We debated it for weeks, trying everything we could to make it work. At the end of the day the safety of our friends and family was the most important.”
In addition, the designs for Josephine’s wedding dress were delayed because of the Covid-19 outbreak.
“The fabric for my dress actually got stuck in production because of Covid, so I wasn’t even sure we could make it in time and wasn’t even ready to fully try it on,” she shared. “I’m sure so many brides are dealing with the same thing and I feel for them more than ever!”
While the Victoria’s Secret Angel is keeping details of the postponed wedding under wraps, she promised that it would be “magical”, and despite the date having to change, the particulars of the big day are still the same.
“I’m excited it’s already rolled out and ready to get set up,” Josephine explained. “I think the one year move-back will give me time to really enjoy the process more. It was a lot more stressful than I thought and I’m excited to use this time to make it even more special.”

Lily Aldridge is working out daily in an effort to beat anxiety during the Covid-19 pandemic.
In a new op-ed for Allure magazine, the Victoria’s Secret Angel discussed her top tips for prioritising wellbeing during the global lockdown, and urged other women to stop being so hard on themselves while trying to juggle childcare, homeschooling, and work.
“If you want a day to kind of be on the couch and feel your emotions, let that happen,” she wrote. “Just to do whatever it is that you and your family need. What helps me deal with anxiety and worry is working out.”
Lily went on to explain that once her 15-month-old son Winston is down for a nap, and daughter Dixie, seven, has finished her school work, she commits to one full hour of exercising to keep her body and mind healthy.
“I’ll set an hour for myself and I’ll work out in a corner of my bedroom. You don’t need much equipment. You can use a towel as a mat; my sister has been using food cans as weights,” the 34-year-old explained. “Even if I just set aside a few minutes to do jumping jacks or get my heart rate going, for me, that’s the most natural way to centre myself and work through these anxieties that I think we’re all having right now.”
The founder of Lily Aldridge Parfums also said she’s been relying on at-home transcendental meditation sessions with her husband Caleb Followill to try and keep herself balanced during the turbulent time.
“I’m not a person who knows how to go into nirvana by any means, but for my everyday work, I am really grateful for things like the Headspace (app) that make it really easy and accessible to learn the basics. It’s a great resource,” she shared.

Karolina Kurkova is focusing on her family while spending time at home during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Czech supermodel retreated to her Miami bolthole with husband Archie Drury and their two sons – Tobin Jack, 10, and four-year-old Noah Lee – as the Covid-19 outbreak hit the United States.
Speaking about the crisis in an interview with the May 2020 Parents magazine, Karolina explained that she’s using the free time to really appreciate the little things in life.
“For us, I’m finding that staying home gives us a rare chance to bond together as a family on a much deeper level than ever before. I’m focusing on being with my sons and husband during this time, showing them life skills and finding activities that can bring us joy,” she explained, noting that frontline workers are never far from her thoughts. “We’re learning about patience, gratitude, and values, and are teaching them all about the brave doctors, nurses, and others who are on the front lines helping us all stay safe.”
Karolina went on to share that she and her eldest son have embraced the short video app TikTok and are having a blast watching the clips together.
“It’s actually fun, but the real reason I’m doing it is because I want to understand what’s going on in his life these days. That way I can help if he needs me,” the 36-year-old insisted.
Elsewhere in the chat, Karolina noted that she is prioritising self-care while balancing her busy career and family life. Specifically, the blonde beauty swears by a good sheet mask, describing the product as “an easy way to get an at-home facial”.
“I’ll leave one on for 15 minutes while I’m making breakfast or before I go to bed. Even faster is splashing my face with ice-cold water,” she added. “I don’t smoke, I’m not a big drinker and I eat fresh foods. I think those three things have helped to keep my skin healthy.”

Gisele Bundchen has shared an uplifting message of “love and light” to her followers amid the coronavirus lockdown.
The 39-year-old model posted a sweet video on Instagram of her singing Bruno Mars’ track Count on Me with her two children, Vivian and Benjamin, who shares with American football star Tom Brady.
In the clip, Gisele, who decided to self-isolate with her family in Costa Rica during the the coronavirus pandemic, is sat on an outdoor sofa with her brood, surrounded by tropical plants.
“Though we are going through a very tough time, let’s try and focus on the present, and live the HERE and NOW. Life is a gift,” the former Victoria’s Secret Angel wrote in the caption, before urging her followers to speak to their friends and family to get helpful tips on health and wellbeing while staying indoors.
“Life is a gift. Let’s support one another,” she added. “Do you have a friend who knows how to cook? Call him. Know someone who loves to work out? Ask her to teach you some exercises? What about that friend who knows how to meditate? Why not ask for some tips?
“Around here, we are singing and sending good energy to all. What about you guys at home? What are you all doing? Please tag me in your posts so I can share on my insta stories. That way we can inspire one another! Sending love and light to everyone! #stayhome #hereandnow.”
Earlier in March, the supermodel urged her fans to stay “calm and positive” during the pandemic and to follow the social distancing rules as they can save lives.

Gisele Bundchen dislikes it when people refer to her as a “stepmom”.
The Brazilian supermodel’s husband, Tom Brady, shares a son named John with his ex, actress Bridget Moynahan.
But in a series of videos posted during a Q&A on her Instagram Stories, Gisele opened up about her blended family, and when asked by one follower how it feels “being a stepmom”, she confessed that she doesn’t like using that term to describe her relationship with the 12-year-old.
“I don’t like the word ‘stepmom,'” Gisele explained. “I like the word ‘bonus mom’ because I feel like it’s a blessing in my life. I feel so lucky that I got to have an extra wonderful little angel in my life.”
The former Victoria’s Secret Angel wed the New England Patriots quarterback in 2009, and the couple is also parents to son Benjamin, 10, and seven-year-old daughter Vivian.
Gisele insisted there was no “secret recipe” to juggling her busy workload and her family, but revealed that she simply tries to be present with her children as much as she can.
“I think we just try our best to be present with the kids when we are with the kids,” she shared. “I think it’s not so much (about) the amount of time. I think it’s the quality of time.”
The 39-year-old added that neither she nor Tom raise their voices to their three kids, and instead lavish them with cuddles and kisses.
“I think what’s really important as well, is the energy that is around the children,” Gisele stated. “I think they really see how much we love each other and how much we support each other.”

Candice Swanepoel is “grateful” for the way social media has allowed her to connect with so many new people.
The Victoria’s Secret Angel took to Instagram on Monday to share a bare-faced selfie, and in the accompanying caption, insisted that she appreciates every single one of her 14 million followers.
“Thank you for sharing in so many of my happy moments and for supporting my career and the things I care about…” the 31-year-old wrote. “We can point out many negatives on the effect social media has on society and people’s psyche, but it also allows us to connect in ways that were not available before…”
Candice went on to explain that she has met some of her “favourite people” on Instagram and thanked those who shared “so much positivity on this platform”.
“Isn’t it a beautiful thing to build each other up and support each other, life can be complicated, and we are all fighting different battles, so I just wanted to express my gratitude for all the love shared here. Kindness is free,” she touchingly concluded.
The mother-of-two was inundated with love and support from her followers on the post, which has more than 395,000 likes, and fellow Victoria’s Secret Angel Lily Aldridge left a series of heart emojis in the comments, as did Amber Valletta.
“Beautiful inside and out, ily (I love you),” model Alton Mason gushed.

Emily DiDonato was left stunned after Karlie Kloss shared her candid video on body image.
Back in August, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model opened up about her struggles with her body in a 15-minute video on her YouTube channel, and recalled troubling experiences in which agencies told her she had to lose weight.
Since then, Emily has been blown away by the support she’s received from her fellow models and fans on social media, and told People.com that she was overwhelmed when former Victoria’s Secret Angel Karlie reposted her video on Twitter.
“So many people reached out, and so many outlets picked it up. I was blown away,” she explained. “I had girls like Karlie Kloss repost it, and I was like, ‘Oh my God.’ I couldn’t believe how much it resonated with so many different types of people. But, I mean, now that I think about it, it’s actually a no brainer that it does.”
She also thanked other models, such as Iskra Lawrence, for their unwavering support.
“Iskra is one of those people who posts things that are positive and relatable. So I can wake up and go, ‘Okay, I’m not the only one who feels that way today.’ I tend to veer away from following people who post the perfect, retouched version of themselves,” Emily stated.
The 28-year-old discussed why she shared her struggles with body positivity in such a public way, and acknowledged that her message wouldn’t have been as well-received a few years ago.
Noting that the industry is “slowly changing”, she said it was now “more acceptable for women of all shapes and sizes to be a full force.”

Alessandra Ambrosio has been honoured with a wax figure at Madame Tussauds in New York.
The Victoria’s Secret Angel unveiled her wax double – which is based on her stunning look from this year’s Cannes Film Festival – as part of the museum’s Fashion Experience exhibition on Thursday.
At the film festival in May, Alessandra wowed when she was photographed wearing the daring red halterneck Julien Macdonald gown, which featured a racy thigh-high split.
“It was definitely one of my favourite (looks) and it came out everywhere,” she told the New York Post’s Page Six Style column of the decision to choose that particular outfit for her Madame Tussauds figure. “So I was like, let’s just do that one.”
And she revealed that designer Julian recreated the dress just for the waxwork. “It was pretty amazing,” she gushed.
Alessandra also discussed her panic over wearing the red gown, as she was due to wear another outfit from a different designer but changed her mind at the very last minute.
“The funny thing about this outfit is when I was walking to the carpet, I had a different dress to wear. And maybe like 30 minutes before I got dressed, they shipped this dress,” the 38-year-old beauty added. “And when I opened the dress, I was like, ‘Let me try!’ and it fit like a glove.”
The Fashion Experience exhibition offers visitors to the museum the opportunity to hit the catwalk and strut their stuff with tips from the Brazilian beauty.

Lily Aldridge’s rock star husband Caleb Followill wears one of the fragrances she created.
The Victoria’s Secret Angel launched her debut perfume, Haven, in September, which featured notes of rose, peony, amber, and cedarwood, and recently released her second, muskier scent, Summit.
And in a new interview with InStyle magazine, the 34-year-old revealed that the fragrance is so spicy and moody that even her Kings of Leon frontman beau is a big fan.
“All my scents are very different, because what’s the point of making four scents that are all florals or have similar notes?” she explained. “Summit is a spicy, edgy, moody scent with leather and tobacco. It’s supposed to represent the feelings of being in the mountains and just being cosy during the wintertime. It’s also a more gender-neutral scent that I want to wear, but so does my husband.”
Lily confessed she used to mix up wearing feminine perfumes with more masculine colognes when she was younger, which eventually inspired her to create her own distinctive fragrances when she started her brand, Lily Aldridge Parfums.
Elsewhere in the interview, the model, who welcomed son Winston in January, opened up about her beauty routine now she’s a mother of two.
“I’m still nursing so I’m using really clean and natural products. I generally always lean towards these types of brands, but there are definitely some that aren’t that I have and love in my routine,” the brunette beauty shared.

Karlie Kloss chose to cut ties with Victoria’s Secret after realising the brand doesn’t align with her feminist views.
The model made her debut appearance in a Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 2011, and was a Victoria’s Secret Angel from 2013 until 2015, though took a two-year hiatus to study at New York University, before appearing in the U.S. lingerie company’s 2017 spectacle held in Shanghai, China in 2017.
However, Karlie has now indicated that she won’t be returning for any further campaigns or shows, as the gig doesn’t “reflect” the message she wants to send to young women.
“The reason I decided to stop working with Victoria’s Secret was I didn’t feel it was an image that was truly reflective of who I am and the kind of message I want to send to young women around the world about what it means to be beautiful,” she said in an interview for the August 2019 issue of British Vogue. “I think that was a pivotal moment in me stepping into my power as a feminist, being able to make my own choices and my own narrative, whether through the companies I choose to work with, or through the image I put out to the world.”
In the wide-ranging chat, Karlie also opened up about finding confidence, various upcoming projects, her entry into the world of TV via her job as the new host of fashion competition programme Project Runway, as well as her decision to convert to Judaism in the lead-up to her marriage to Joshua Kushner, 34, last October.
“Changing part of who you are for someone else can be seen as weak. But you know what? Actually, if you’ve been through what I’ve experienced, it requires you to be anything but weak. It requires me to be stronger and self-loving and resilient. I really did not take this lightly,” the 26-year-old commented. “It was only after many years of studying and talking with my family and friends and soul searching that I made the decision to fully embrace Judaism in my life and start planning for a future with the man I chose to marry.”
