Billie Eilish used to wear boys’ clothes and shoes growing up.

The Bad Guy hitmaker, who is known for rocking baggy, oversized clothing, recently admitted in an interview with DJ Zane Lowe at the Apple Music Awards that she liked to wear clothes and shoes designed for boys when she was younger and grew frustrated when they didn’t come in girls’ sizes.

“I grew up always getting boys’ shoes and boys’ clothes,” Billie said. “I (asked), ‘Do you have these in a women’s size?’ and the answer would always be no.”

This frustration was one of the reasons why the 17-year-old launched her own children’s clothing line in November, as she wanted youngsters to have “cool” outfits to wear.

“It’s the same thing (for kids) when you see a shirt for a grown-up,” she continued. “I talked to a lot of people I know that have kids and they are always talking about how there are no cool kids’ clothes. I don’t want anything to be limited… I didn’t want anyone to feel like they couldn’t get the clothes that they wanted.”

Her clothing line was an instant hit, with the neon green hoodie featuring her first name selling out on her merchandise shop Blohsh. Other items included matching neon green T-shirts and shorts featuring her name and matching white T-shirts and shorts emblazoned with the initials “BE”.

The teenage singer previously spoke about the limitations of gendered clothing in an episode of Complex’s video series Sneaker Shopping back in March. She revealed she gravitates towards men’s shoes because the big and bulky designs she likes are rarely offered in women’s sizes.

Kanye West has addressed the controversial comments he made about his wife Kim Kardashian’s 2019 Met Gala dress.

The 42-year-old rapper voiced his concerns over the reality star’s show-stopping couture Thierry Mugler creation that she wore to the prestigious fashion event in a recent episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

“I went through this transition where being a rapper, looking at all these girls and looking at my wife, like, ‘Oh my girl needs to be just like the other girls showing their body off,'” Kanye explained to the cameras in the episode, which was filmed back in April. “I didn’t realise that that was affecting my soul and my spirit as someone who is married and the father of now… about to be four kids.”

“A corset is a form of underwear,” The Life of Pablo hitmaker told Kim. “You are my wife and it affects me when pictures are too sexy.”

But during an interview with Zane Lowe for his Beats 1 radio show on Apple Music, Kanye revealed that he struggles with his 39-year-old wife’s constant presence on social media.

“I suffer and I appreciate the suffering because we can feel a little bit of what Jesus experienced, but I suffer on social media,” he shared. “There are other married men that I know are happy to hear me say that.

“Social media prompts women, in particular, to put out content that they wouldn’t in the past. When I was younger and I wanted to see something like that I had to pay someone who was older… Now, I have friends who have kids in high school and it’s readily available.”

Kim has not yet responded to Kanye’s latest comments.
